Hi all,

I need to convert some .djvu files to .PDF

I got educated on a couple of converters that would work (seems kinda limited), however Adobe Acrobat Professional has the feature built in so I downloaded a version

AND

EVERY KEYGEN seems to be tainted and not safe......which is confusing as 700 people before me either viewed and/or downloaded, however nobody else discovered these or posted about the virus.

New Guy Questions
1) Is it bad to post something negative about a thread (IE: will you get less credibility, etc) especially if the person who started the thread has posted a gizzillion times or is a senior member, moderator, etc?

2) If it's not how come members are not posting when they find pros/cons of a thread?

3) How do people get keygen's without viruses? (hint: I need Acrobat Pro 8.0)

4) Do software companies monitor forums and try and bust people?

5) Does Acrobat Pro convert .djvu file extensions?

Sorry if these are lame questions and thanks for the help!!!

Peace!

Hi.
You can try this h**p://[Only registered and activated users can see links] :hahaha:

1) nope, as here it's democracy and no one blames you if you discover something wrong with an thread, even if it's started by an high-repped people (no matter if it's mod / vip / ordinary)
2) maybe they are not interested in posting their oppinion(s)
3) most of keygens give false-alarms of virus / trojan with some antivirus, so check them twice if you have any doubts
4) yes and no
5) didn't try it :weedman:

Hi Mep,

Thanks for your response!

Can you expand on 3) False alarms of keygens?

Thanks!

sure / my pleasure:
depends on which AV (antivirus) you'd use...If your AV give an virus alarm, try to scan (also) with SpySweeper or Adware Away (also) :weedman:

Hope it helps ya :hahaha:

Hi Mep,

I went ahead and used the keygen from the download, although my antivirus was giving me numerous alerts. The Keygen worked like a champ and allowed the install.

Afterwards, I ran a few virus scans which came up with no threats.

I'm still a bit confused on the "technical details" that surround the false alerts and in which situations I would ignore them and at what times I should be concerned.

Thanks for all the help!

Cheers!!

Most of the crackers/patch or keygens are considered as virus because your antivirus detects that the program is trying to modify your system especially the registry.

If the file is detected as a virus even not yet being run, then for sure it is a virus.

The risk is up to you now. A license software or looking for a patch which may have a virus or not.
