Hello,
As there are so many helpful members on this site, can someone PLEASE make a Sticky on the do's & don'ts of making backups for the Wii games PLEASE!!

The Internet is really full of bad advice / wrong advice and even software recommendations that dont even work! As a regged user here - I really would like to be able to refer to a regular page on this site dedicated to the Wii games backups.

From the start as numbered here:

1 - How to copy / what drive is required / what copy software?
2 - What to do with a copied image / rar files.?
3 - How to make an image for burning / what software / ?
4 - How to burn / what drive is required / what software / what burn speed ?
5 - And all this is assuming you have a modchip? what's the best? and the worst? Will your Wii overheat and blow up if you try to play an NTSC game on a PAL Wii? and visa versa? Is there a list of tried and tested blank media to burn on? Do we use a CD or a DVD to burn the image?

Some REAL NEWBIE stuff here, but if your going to write out a tutyorial, these items also need mentioning to stop the post turning into 300+ pages of newbie questions asking what was forgot to be wrote down!!!

-- COME ON THOSE IN THE KNOW..... GIVE US A NICE TUT ON THIS PLEASE!!! :prayer:

dude u need a modchip
and the modchip you need depends on which chipset your wii has.
u can check which chipset your console has by entering its serial here

hxxp://wiitracker.nintendo-scene.com/search.php

if u have d2c, i suggest buying argon modchip. but u will need to contact a good modder if u aren't good at soldering. the latest chipsets are very hard to be modded. I had my argon installed by a modder. look for a modder near you.
