Hmm,tested on N70ME with latest FW.
Not very good..When starting phone up it plays default Nokia tone then the music recorder opens up...slowly tries to play sound but doesnt..

So no good on N70.

Well my Firmware is also same as yours but no way i both restarted and turned off and on my 6630 but still with the classical nokia sound!

the one u cant make it work the only way to change the start up tone is to be able to write on z drive or change da firmware pack n flash to fone so apps like these are pure fake dont try n waste ur time man

Just install the app and restart ur phone. I did it in the same way as written above and it worked for me. I'm sorry that i dont know more about it. It starts with the old windows 98 startup sound, it could be nice if the sound was that of XP startup.:goodnight:

i dont like this app or thread because this app dont change the sound but put new sound in startup and when we start our phone it appear front and play......and sound belongs to windows98, completely borring sound....well your attempt was good

Well N72 is like twin sister to N70 - it's good to know it works.
You can change c:\microsft.wav (AFAIK) to some else *.amr, *.wav etc.

Now it works on N70,but as 3GP (;
