IT IS VERY EASY........(3 MIMUTES!!!!!!!!!!)

Turn on C230 and connect it to the computer using a USB cable(not included in the package).
C230 is shown up as a flash drive called Mio Device. Mine is assigned as F drive. I’ll use F drive in the following steps. Substitute it with the actual drive letter of your system.
Rename the folder F:\MioMap\MioMap to F:\MioMap\MioMap2 .
Download MioC230r1.zip from this site or this http://www.mediafire.com/?fczmng1ixpy
Extract MioC230r1.zip and find the two folders MioMap and Script.
Copy MioMap to F:\MioMap\ and copy Script to F:\ . The directory structure is like the screenshot.

Disconnect Mio C230. The device soft reset automatically and runs the file manager.
Use the file manager and browse to \My Flash Disk\MioMap\MioMap . You might need to use a stylus to do it.
Tap AUTOPATCHER.exe twice to run the script.
C230 soft reset again.
If you hard reset the machine, the changes are gone. However, the hacked version of MioMap directory is still there. It would run the file manager again. Just follow the steps 8 and 9 to run the AUTOPATCHER.exe and you are good.

If you don’t like it the way it is, you want to undo everything. Here are the steps.

Turn on C230 and connect it to the computer using a USB cable.
Rename the folder F:\MioMap\MioMap to F:\MioMap\MioMap3 and rename the folder F:\MioMap\MioMap2 to F:\MioMap\MioMap
Disconnect the cable and hard reset C230 using the switch on the back.

Thx ,but it don´t work I try to put the folders in diferent ways and nothing happend,and I cant rename the miomaps folder because my c230 has Destinator 7 no Miomaps,I follow trying and coment if it works for me.

i will try to explain you.
follow that i will write.
connect mio with usb(fast cable from camera...).
mio seems in pc like removable disc...
rename from G to F...
CREATE in F A new folder. name MioMap.
side by side put the script.
into miomap create 2 folders. naME's MioMap and MioMap2.
into miomap2 put destinator papago,igo, igo8,tom tom,etc....
sideby side with miomap2 put folder miomap who is (with folder script) in download file...
thats all.
NOW....
disconect usb cable
soft reset
you wil see a blue screen
click f
click miomap
click miomap
click AUTOPACHER..
YOU FINISH
when you can hard reset.....on off....you must click AUTOPATHCER...EVERRR

Hi I Don't Find Mio Maps Bad For My City But I Wonder If Somehow I Can Turn My C220 Into Pocket Pc In Order To Work With Windows Applications Word Oulook Etc.

I have a mio c230 and bought it in the middle east. It has GCC maps and I would like to put the Destinator software and the maps. Could anyone gie me the steps to put the Destinator on to it. My device details are as follows:

Mio Device contains folders like Mp3, My Audio, My pictures and settings.ini file

Removable Disk which is the SD card has MioMap, My audio and My pictures folders. Miopmap folder has another miomap folder init and inside navigation.exe and other .cpf files are present.

Now the qustion is how do I unlock or do I need to unlock to put Destinator in it. What are the steps required to make it work with Destinator.

Hope someone would be able to answer my question and provide answers.

How does one get Miomap 3.3 on a C220 to recognize 2008.1 maps? So far, I've sucessfully gotten the 2007.07 maps to read nicely with TTS.
