Hello, wondering if there are anyone using their mobile phone as a GPS in Bulgaria and what software/map they are using.

I have a HP ipaq 514 wondows mobile 6 smartphone with holux GPS reciever.

I have tried:
Tomtom ver 5.2 with Bulgarian map 6.08. Software works perfect but the maps are very outdated.

Route66 ver.7 with 'all maps'. Software works perfect but didn't find one single road here in Dobrich where i live.

Sygic drive ver.7 with latest Bulgarian map (7.19). Software works perfect but the map found no road when driving from Silistra to Dobrich :(.

Garmin Mobile XT ver.4.10.40w. roadmap version 2.12. Software works perfect, the map could is unaccurate :(.

Anyone has tested other software/maps that works perfectlly in all regions of Bulgaria?

Thank you very much, i have tried it and looks very promising :).

The only thing i need to figure out is how i can get Garmin mobile XT to route unnamed roads. Looks to me that the software routes only on major roads. I have tried to adjust the settings (Route preferences: Shorter distance, and tried different settings in 'Avoidance setup').

Help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The best workin software i have found is Garmin Mobile XT and the best map is OFRM Bulgaria v 4.50. Search the forum, both software and map is available here.

Hello again, I have bought a new phone (HTC touch diamond) and now I am using Tomtom7 with latest map of western Europe that includes Bulgaria. I think coverage and routing is excellent with tomtom7.

I'm using Garmin Mobile ver. 5.00 with BG OFFROAD MAP 4.60, works great.
