This week decided to release version 0.88, basically was hoping on getting lot more functionality added into it before relasing, but then noticed that it would take still rather a long time, thus figured that it is better to put out as it is at the moment.
Lots of new language string in it, and all new ones are only in english, I will put language excels up-to date as soon as i can, and then hopefully will find translators to translate and get the updated.

Here's a very simple solution to solve your "unable to send protected object" problem using any file explorer application, just rename that particular file's extension before sending them for example...
xxx.sis to xxx.sisx,
xxx.jar to only the file name without the *.jar extension as most receiving S60 phones would recognise it instantaneously as a java application.
Hope this helps guys.

Mate I would suggest that you try all of them once yourself. It's really a matter of personal preference. I have installed 3 of them; Y-Browser, X-Plore & Activefile. Yes in terms of ease of use I find X-plore much much better. you can download the latest one from [Only registered and activated users can see links] :)

Of all the available s60 V3 file managers, Y-browser has the best speed. However, I am using ActiveFile as my default file manager because:
1. For X-plore, I hate the color theme and the display font. It seems to alter the phone's system font.
2. For Y-browser, there is no build-in screen capture function, and no file size information unless I use the file properties.
I am very tempted by Y-browser. Every time a new version appeared, I would check it out. And every time I was disappointed, including this time by the 0.88.2! Attached are some screen shots of ActiveFile, captured by ActiveFile. Notice the disk and file size information shown by this software. The difference to the information-poor Y-browser display is obvious.
My two cents ...

Well if you're really are a pro at it, then any one would agree that X-plore is faster than all. There was a time when I loved Y-browser, but once I got used to X-plore and its shortcuts there was no looking back. And no it does not alter your system font in any way. And my view is that a file browser should always act & do what its supposed to do, not try and become an all-in-1 app like Activefile(screenshots, task manager, network info & some messaging functions all thrown into one).
In terms of functionality X-plore is great, offers you file editing (text, unicode & hex), is the easiest to use when you want to quickly grab files from your inbox, the shortcuts are superb...almost all the commonly used functions have a convinient shortcut. There are also those who will vote for Y-browser and honestly it is really a matter of personal preference.
I don't want to convert this thread into a file-browser discussion, but couldn't stop my self from replying ;) If you want more then create a new thread in the right forum and I'll happily jump in

Cannot install in N95 because the file is corrupted/ damaged (dunno the exact description because in chinese). But the same Y-Browser can install in N73 & N82.
