I'd like this to be added to the Tips & Tricks since its not there OR in the FAQ's thread and really SHOULD be as its a basic functions of the BB devices.
You can Remove applications WITHOUT the need for the BBDM. Now this isn't removal of the firmware of course; just applications & languages.
Main Screen> Options> Then to Advanced Options (older devices lower than Firmware 4.1 will just see Applications and not Advanced options)> Applications.
Here you can uninstall any applications. The BlackBerry will let you know of dependant shared db's will also be uninstalled as well - usually giving you the choice to keep those db's but this is rarely an issue or something that'll pop-up.
You can also uninstall Languages from here as well and also patches that you don't need like (Argentina DST patch - which is seperate from the North American DST patch from last february).
