use 2.7 for e65 as its a prefp1 phone

I have installed hack to Nokia 6120 and copied file CProfDriver_SISX.ldd to c:\sys\bin and installed capson and capsoff - so far so good.
When I try and install signed kaspersky AV it still gives error message 'Required application access not granted'??
Ive tried the preFP1 and FP1 files but both have same results.
Any ideas anyone.

I never understood why people have to sign their software.... I own a nokia E65 for a year now, (spanish vodafone), and I never ever had to sign a program. I just install it and it works...

Maybe its just my particular model (6120) or not I dont know but I have to set the hack up each time I reboot phone by running App_Trk on the phone and the hack_perms_s60v3_FP1.py python script from the PC with phone connected to PC. After this is applied I have access to c:\sys etc but it will not toggle on and off using capson/off or rom patcher. The phone will not accept certain sis files such as kaspersky or even the rom patcher sis file. The keycert files will not sign any file that I try but if I replace them with my own which I got from OPDA chinese site then they sign ok.
I did however manage to upgrade quick office with this hack which I could not have done it without it so it will come in handy for certain things.

In rom patcher just choose caps off from the options it should work . . did u install the profiler it should save u some time and u can do the patch on ur phone . . Also the keycert files work for everybody its u who didnt do it correctly just try it again

Two errors on my behalf. Firstly I spelt swicerstore incorrectly and secondly I overlooked the swipolicy.ini file, now all appears well. Great stuff and many thanks.

Still cant get Kaspersky to install though, does the sign sis need a password by any chance?

I used xp and vista using latest Pc suite and it doesnt connect to the apptrk.. people say about cancel the bluetooth thing that says connect now but when i installed the app and run it for the first time, it didnt come up. It stays on "Not Connected" no matter how i try and connect it. Help me?

I installed capsonoff with the help of hellocarbide (the new hack)...no need for python or profiler hacking first...just install capson.sisx & capsoff.sisx, run hellocarbide, copy *.ldd file to c:\sys\bin\, restart phone and voila :) It works on my N73.

THANKS FCA for alowing us to fully enjoy our phones (unlike Nokia) :urtheman:

hi atocruz! i suppose you've already tried the CapsON and CapsOff. i used to have X-plorer on my phone but like you, i wasn't able to open c:\sis\bin\. so what i did was i installed the Y-browser... i was able to open even the Private folder using Y-browser.

Firstly, thanks very much for all your work, it's fantastic.

It worked fine to begin with, I was able to get Nuance Talks 3.52 installed without problems. This was a godsend as I'm partially sighted so, big thanks from me for that.

However, now I can't install any unsighed apps at all, as I just get a certificate error for everything that is unsigned.

I'm enabling Caps Off, I've checked that I can view the C:\Sis\bin directory, have also tried copying the unsigned file to the phone with no luck.

I don't think I've changed anything, made sure I copied the required file to the bin directory, and the 00000 file to C:\resource\swicertstore\dat folder and made it read-only.

Is there some sort of certificate or 'generic license' I have to install? I know some crackers provide their own certificate, and you're meant to copy this into the swicertstore folder, and maybe there is where things are going wrong.

Trying to install Mobile Pilot by Illusion, great app btw.

Oh one other question: for mobile pilot, there are two apps in the folder, one is clearly labeled as unsigned cracked by Illusion, the other seems to be the 'standard' install file. Do I install both, or is the 'standard' file just for 'reference'?

Don't know how this happened, but the Caps Off/On hack itself isn't working now, so I had to use the Hello Carbide one with the installserver.exe hack. All working now though.

Again, maybe it's just me, but the FCA00000 hack does work, as that's how I got my Nuance Talks installed.

8.1) I made a program called hack_perms_s60v3.py
It is written in pyhton, so you need Python25 from [Only registered and activated users can see links]
It uses the serial port, so you also need pyserial ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
and probably pywin32 ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Download the binaries and execute them. As simple as that.

My program uses COM6 at line
ser = serial.Serial(5)
If you have another port, change this number. example: COM9= ser 8(so just see what ur com port # is and -1 is ur ser #) [see reply number 26 for tuto]

Run my program by typing
hack_perms_s60v3.py

It logs a lot of information. In case of problems, investigate. I _might_ try to help.

If you get
serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port: ... The system cannot find the file specified.
this means that the port doesn' exist.

If you get
serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port: ... The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
this means that there is another program using the port. Most probably you are trying COM7 instead of COM6.

If it hangs after
sendFrame=00
sendFrame=FF
sendFrame=7E
this means that MetroTRK is not running in the mobile.

If everything goes OK, it takes 40 seconds and the last line are:
Close
End+Exit

Look at the trace: you should see 2 lines like:
Read Memory 60000148=1E 00 00 00
candidate!!!

This is good. It means that it found the correct address and patched it.

I own a 6120 classic. I hacked this some time ago no probs. Yesterday I upgraded software on phone and now the hack is lost and I am no longer able to access Sys folders etc. Tried applying the hack again but cant. I still have Rom-Patcher available on phone but it is non operative - also I am unable to uninstall it. As for mobile Signer well that appears to be still working ok. Anybody know if its re hackable again for Sys access or how to get rid of Rom-Patcher?

This initial post is only for people having a preFP1 phone: N80, E50, E61, N73, E60.
Doesn't work for FP1 models: N95, 5700, N81, N82

It works like this:
1) apply the python script to patch the phone and hack permissions. Look at the above post

2) download S60_3_0_Prof_v1_62.sisx from

[Only registered and activated users can see links] (attached here)
3) install it
4) now the hack:
4.1)go to my own folder->Profiler
4.2) menu Options->Profiler->Start. It says 'Status: initialising'
4.3) then it says 'Status: sampling'
4.4) Options->Profiler->Stop
4.5) it says 'Status: finished'
4.6) Exit
5) get [Only registered and activated users can see links] (attached here)
6) copy into your phone c:\sys\bin\CProfDriver_SISX.ldd (this is why you need the initial

hack)
7) it will ask to overwrite.choose yes ..... the old version had 6 Kb. The new one has 17

Kb. Please verify.

everytime you restart your phone, do step "4) "again. (only 4 dont do 5 or 6)

If you want to test, just reset your phone and do only step " 4) "

UPDATE:now the silent hack by FCA00000 .. u can turn the hack on and off using the apps capsoff and caps on(attached) .. here is what he wrote ... ...

2)install CapsOn.sisx
3) install CapsOff.sisx

To hack the phone, run CapsOff. To revert to normal, run CapsOn
Program runs and exits inmediatly.
To test it, run any unprivileged application and see if it gets permissions.
For example, unpatched X-plorer should be able to access c:\sys\bin\

Remember: CapsOn is normal. CapsOff means hacked.

In step 6. to copy the .ldd file to C:\sys\bin , but on my N82 fw 30 I can't see the c:\sys\bin stiil

It gives me error on installing alternative trk for n82 users. It say's me: Cannot install. Component built-in


the new trk version 2.8.9 gets installed well

I have some problem regarding STEP 4 i have already installed the PROFILER and follow the instruction then I saw the STATUS: Initializing at the upper part of the menu, after a while it show STATUS: Finished it did'nt even show STATUS: Sampling is this some sort of a problem?? When I select Option >> Profiler >> Stop it does'nt do anything still it shows Status: Finished, and when I select Option >> Profiler >> Start, after a while it shows Status: General Error???

But there's nothing wrong with my phone! I just consult this to you guys because maybe this is some sort of Irregularities that needs to be corrected!
