guys, I tried this hack successfully on my 6290 FP1, but i just got an E61i.
The problem is App TRK only shows status : Not Connected.

How do I solve this ?
E61i is a pre-FP1 phone...make sure you use the right files for the crack

Make sure ur using Port 1 for TRK and usb connection.

Mate didn't you read the first post...it clearly says that use the Selfsign option. So why do you need to select the key & cert???

Yes mobile signer takes a sis as input & gives sisx as output. Thanks mate for letting me know that you got it solved ;)

You have to copy the key & cert after you are done installing SignSIS. Just overwrite the original files.

Well if after running CapsOff you get access to system folders, then don't worry about those errors ;)

If tp12's suggestion doesn't solve your problem, then I am sure that you have failed to follow STEP 3 properly. Make sure you have copied the key&cert and also the 0000001 file to the respective folders.

Mate SignSIS will use the key & cert (for SelfSign) from the drive it is installed on. So if it was installed on E:, then you had to copy the files to E:\private\EC696702. Anyways, good to know that you got it working :D

Please re-check that you followed STEP 3 exactly. Pay special attention to the 000001 file. This error means that you have messed up copying that file properly ;)

About a week ago I successfully hacked my N95 8GB v.15 firmware by using this guide. Today I upgraded my phone's firmware to version 20.0.016. Then I tried to do the hack again but no luck. As mentioned on the first page I have downgraded Nokia PC Suite to version 6.85.11.1 (from 6.86) but it doesn't help.

Just got of on a private helpdesk session with swankyleo....
He helped me out and got me right back on track using the FCA00000 hack.
It seems - and i feel really stupid saying this and posting it over all the forums that it won't work anymore- that the problem was that I used the new TRK app (wich was not good) and that i didn't disconnect the App trk app when pulling out the USB. Ther4 the hack didn't work anymore ....

I now have caps on and off running.
Everything is fine again....

So again....
Sorry 4 all the mix-ups...
Swanky will post a new thread using his new method without the Python use...
mayB that was the problem with my latest firmware...

it does not matter which drive u install capsoff/capson or SignSIS to. both will work. as for the rest off the apps regarding the hack they should be installed to C: :wave:

The LDD needs to be in C: CapsOn/Off use it. The blanket rule for C: was created to avoid confusion and moreover they are too small in size to be noticed ;)

Hack is possible on any new firmware and old fimware, will suggest you to update before hack. don't update ur pc suite. read the first post for all the info.

Hack is working fine on latest V20 version. No prob at all.

You say you are using the right files, does TRK show connected? Can you upload the files here so that I can check...

i had a similar problem with the script getting stuck there previously. the problem was because i had updated my nokia software updater. i suggest u delete anything related to nokia pc suite and nokia software updater and den reinstall making sure dat the version is as described by swankyleo on the first post.

First of all I don't see any reason why the hack would stop working all of a sudden without you messing it up. Now if the script is getting stuck, check the following:

-Make sure you are using the same files you did for the first time and are properly following each step as mentioned.
-Is the TRK connected?
-Are you using the right Port no. inside the python script?
-Make sure you haven't updated NSU or Nokia PC suite lately and are using the versions mentioned in the first post

If this doesn't help then let me know ;)

Thanks for all the support. I found that the problem was because of the PC suite update. You'll are right. The new version installs connectivity cable updates which is causing a problem for the script to run. I reverted back to the old cable drivers and ran the script. It worked fine. All back to normal. after this i remove the n82 nd tried this hack on 5700 it works perfect.

now not hanging on that ping it runs but after some comands at dos it restarts my n82.

Thats good news mate :D Could you please confirm that just installing the old cable drivers worked or did you have to uninstall complete PC suite? I'm sure that just reverting to the old drivers should work but haven't tried it myself yet.

Also if we let the old drivers stay with the new PC suite does it work?

I had installed the new PC suite, and the problem started. After finding out the issue, just uninstalled all the latest cable drivers, and installed the cable drivers of the previous version of PC suite which I found over the internet. So now I have the old cable drivers and the new PC suite. The script worked fine, and so is the PC suite. The PC suite has been tested for Pre FP1 and FP1 phone as well. Hope this info helps you :)

Thanks mate for replying back and confirming this. So the new PC Suite indeed works with the old cable drivers. I'll test this myself too and then make changes to the first post.

what do i do know?Thats because you have copied the wrong LDD. Make sure you copy the CProfDriver_SISX.ldd and install CapsOn/Off for FP1

help me outUpgrading the firmware will remove the hack. Now uninstall NSu & Nokia PC Suite & reinstall the Nokia PC Suite version as mentioned in first post. Then repeat the whole procedure again.

As for your contacts & sms....you should have done a backup before upgrading 8-)

After backup and reconfiguring my phone this guide worked perfectly and now I am able to install and run applications without signing. Thanks for nice guide!!

I updated my N95 to the newest firmware before I did this hack and worked fine. Try google for PC Suite or perhaps you have the cd that came with the phone. This should contain an older version of PC Suite.

EDIT: My update worked perfectly and now I can install apps which even had certificate error before....cant thank you guys enough :good2:

Yes I hacked my N95 so I now can sign apps on the phone and install them. It took me a few tries but now it works perfectly.

Anyone?Don't do it twice, do it once but do it nice ;) Mate pay attention to details, you sure have messed up dealing with the 00000001 file. Copy that file again(yes do it again) to the right path & set the read-only permission on it. Let me know if this helps :)

Please specify the error you are getting in detail. "Contact supplier" has got nothing to do with this hack. Have you signed the software with MobileSigner before installing?

Did you sign the antivirus first with SignSis? Also make sure you copied the 00000001 file to the right path. If you still face problems then follow the new method from [Only registered and activated users can see links]

You can even try only STEP#2 from there if you have already installed CapsOff. Just run CapsOff before doing it.

Thanks a lot to FCA00000, leftup and swankyleo who invented or reported this beautiful trick, I tried it on my N73 and it works very nice and complete. I also used the hack of signing problem, It works completely too, and now I can install every application which I had problem installing it.

I guess you are not using the latest drivers...anyways right-click 'N82 USB' and select Properties. Goto Port Settings tab and click on Advanced button. There you should see the COM port number.

Help. I am stuck at step one and can't figure out FCA00000's hack. I didn't see a hack when I arrived at [Only registered and activated users can see links] All I saw was a post saying that it was possible to hack c:/sys. The second post involves a s60v3.rar file which I downloaded and installed, but I am still unable to access c:/sys.

I think the best hacking procedure is this that uses the carbide.sisx method ,without python and PC. Worked perfekt in my N85 8gb with latest v.30 fw.

Mate you have to first hack your phone, either using carbide or drakkarious method, and be noted that your phone shouldnt be FP2 or FP3, coz till now they arent hackable...
