i use the your hack TTuser for MAP activation and setkey.
i copy the files to my root SD card.
i get error on the upper right corner, "setting error write" "can't save map"
then the screen freezes and the unite reboots.

Upgraded my TOMTOM 720 to 7.481.9086 through TOMTOM home and used the SE_ttsystem7.481.9086.not.for.gox10.rar that you posted and all maps are working again... At this rate you will be releasing the fixes before TOMTOM releases the originals.

because on my tomtom 910 is version 7.221 installed en this is also a version for x20 en the remote is working, it's only on the 7.481 that the remote don't works...

I have a One V2 and I can't seem to get this to work. After updating, it won't connect to the computer anymore via USB, and it freezes & reboots when I go to the Preferences screen. I used files 1 & 3, unpacking each directly to the SD card. Any ideas?

sorry, what for a stupid question, not gox10 mean not for 510,710,910 , you have 2 "not gox10" and one "for gox10" what believe you is right for your 910 :confused: you need to download 1. ; 3. for gox10

I downloaded (1), (2) and new ASR folder and installed on my GO700. It booted OK but with old menus, however, the version number showed 7.481.9086.

I left the ttn file in the root from V7.221 - is this correct or is it not required for V7.481?

I've always needed the ttn file on previous versions for the new menus and TTS to work.

I've reverted to V7.221 in the meantime.

Can you advise please ?

Just one question, I have an external microphone plugged into the shoe but with V7.221 and V7.481 there seems to be no menu option to select it. Can this be fixed as the handsfree is better with the external mic.

I am currently testing the original patched version on my ONE v2 and it has the same display problem than the previous build and I mean that only 3 infos on status bar are admitted to be displayed well (remaining trip time, actual time, speed, km remaining).
If you selected 4 ore more the numbers become a mess so that the numbers becomes unreadable itself.
This bug did not appear on 7.163 and 7.221.
Any ideas on how solve this matter?

I installed V7.481 downloads (1) + (2) on my GO Classic and it initially booted OK then freezes for a while and then re-boots on it's own. I tried resetting several times but that made no difference. I previously had V7.221 on it which worked fine but after trying V7.481 I reverted to V7.221 but sound did not work - not even non TTS voices, so I've now gone back to V7.162 which is OK, including TTS.

I like the quickmenu so would like to use V7.221 or V7.481 so have you any suggestions.

Does this version also works on tomtom one first edition? i tried but tt says no maps found and no tts se version.

Excuse me, I made a mistake, I was supposed to write ASR and I wrote something wrong instead.
You must read ASR instead of ARS that's all.
The only problem for me is the lack of the remote control support.
If the BT remote control is supported on a GO 910 with this new version, I will have to buy a new BT remote control because TMC is OK, navigation is OK, handsfree is OK, MP3 are OK, Photos are OK, Movies are OK so, it's looks good to me for the moment,...etc....

After install 7.481 TMC is looking for connection without finding a radiochannel.

I have never had any problems with TMC and I am using the first generation antenna. Normaly there was a fix within 1 minute.

I just got back to 7.22 and TMC is working again. Is it possible that there was something going wrong after installation of 7.481?

I wait for a answer before I try it again tomorrow.

TMC, i have it and yes with the latest 7.48x need i to plug several times the antenna until the TT find a Station, TT improve all to death :roll: and the missing displayed xxx MHZ are greatest ****, only Reason for this, to hide the Problems :angry:

Here is one for you TTUser. I have TT One v.1 using Australia maps 705.1485.

Was running v7221.8572 with no issues. TTS worked fine reading street names fairly smoothly.

Updated to v7.481.9086. This runs faster and is stable. TTS does work but instead of pronouncing street names, "In 800 metres turn right Smith Street", it now spells out the street name, "In 800 metres turn right S..M..I..T..H.. dot Street".

TTS fully functional but spells street name instead of saying it.

I notice that Australia 705.1485 has no cspeech_AUS file, but it used to work without that file using v722.8572.

The previous map version Australia 700.1491 does have a cspeech_AUS file. Should I copy that across into Australia 705.1485?

P.S. You do excellent work TTUser. Very impressive.

it might be because of the settings as well. As far as I remeber, there are settings to anounce or not foreign names... would it be because Navcore recognised Assie map as foreign by any chance? Somehow I am leaning towards this theory. I can well be mistaken of course.

deleted ttn72218572 from root SD
deleted ASR folder from root
note: there is still one small file in root called ttn that is 1Kb dated 30.12.07

I then installed:

1. Basic Pack
2. System not for gox10
5. ASR (voice input) to replace old ASR folder I had just deleted

It is running fullsize TTS Loquendo folder.

I have not put check box against Foreign street names (thanks superduper).

As indicated, when pronouncing ALL street names it is spelled out, followed by the word "DOT" or "COMMA" then "street", instead of reading the name. All other warning and instructions are fluent.

A bit unusual, but open to suggestions. If worse comes to worse I will revert to 7.221 but this new version is faster.

If you stil use old ttn have you possible also old bt Folder if yes use you a ttsserver from 7.221. If you go back to 7.221 use latest Version without ttn, ttn72221, etc. (i know not why i waste time to improve it if no one use it :???:)

Thanks TTUser - tried 7.481 on the Go 300 but it spontaneously reboots. Reverted to using 7.221.
I used the no-TTS non-go x10 ttsystem.

If you think you do all right, try also the gox10 Version. And its not the End its only the first Attempt, with 7.221 have I/we long many tried until found a good working Version. And if no one very exactly report what how work or not work, or i have a Tester with Brain and Time can i never made a better working Version.

By entering the frequency to use for TMC/TMCpro manually I could successfully use a station with TMCpro. But can anyone tell me how to recognize whether a TMC or TMCpro station is used when in automatic mode? Compared to previous/other version the frequency is not shown in automatich mode :(

Normally sleep the Device only, with a reset is it short dead and begin to boot the System new. Nothing erased, no fear.

Took your advice and deleted BT folder & single ttn file 1Kb in size.

hello, i installed and it works on one new edition but the texto font near the clock is too large so it's fuzzy. can anyone repair this?

Just tested the navcore 8...GREAT ...new icons, fast but no TTS nor maps 7 on my one new edition. anyone got a crack ?

this navcore 8 does not have the lane indication and other new thinks as announced _:-(

V7.481.9086 working on my GO700, however, two queries:-

1) I have an external mic connected to the shoe but there is now no menu option to select it. Can this be made to work with V7.481 ?

2) The remote does not function now, is there likely to be a fix for this ?


have a go700 as well can't get it to funktion all right. if i want to navigate to street or city it freezes. You have any suggestions

This is what I do when upgrading or downgrading my Tomtom One XL.

BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE, MAKE A BACKUP OF THE SD-CARD/INTERNAL CARD!

1. Delete everything on the internal memory card (or external sd card) except the common files (ie: splashw.bmp, antitheft.bmp) and folders (ie: your map, SDKRegistry, mp3, text, photos, ephem)

2. Then copy the new se or navcore and its sub-folders to your sd-card (or internal card).

3. Then reset the device (reset button).

If you read Post#1, TT XL was never mentioned, so I presumed TTS (spoken street names) will not work on this device.

* Basically works until now at: 510, 710, 910, onev1, oneV2

Delete all old Files, Folders from previous Version.

If you have tested the original Version replace original ttsystem with one of this 2.
It is only a Recommendation what should work, if not try another.

Best choice, do a long Reset before you first time boot the new Version.

Why settle for this version where you can use version 8 without TTS but human voices. Same instructions apply.

The only version that I have tested (thanks to TTUser) that's 99.99% work for Tomtom One XL with full TTS (spoken street names) is version SE_ttsystem 7.162.

Right now I use on my internal card v7.162, external 1gb Navcore SE 8.002.9117 with human voices (computer or human voices with no spoken street names (http://frost.web.cern.ch/frost/english_tt_voices/)) NOT TTS (computer voices with spoken street names).

BTW, you can also have mp3 and video player using mobilnova media center on any versions.

With versions 7.481 and 8.002, mp3 plays only via bluetooth not internal speaker.

This morning I have learned, that additional software like ´Daylight´and ´Delpoi´ (which I used on my tt1xl under v7.162) do NOT work at v7.481 and 8.002 conditions.

So I have returned to v7.162 now.
Cause I am used that software and I like/need it.
It´s more important for me e. g. that I can hide/delete all my fix and mobile radar detection pois (if I must) - than changing my tt1xl to v7.481 or v8.002.

I have V7.481 on my GO920 with the patched ttsystem file specifically for the x20 units. When I am using the legitimate WACE TTS map I have the option to use voice recognition to select a destination but if I switch to an alternative cracked TTS map this option no longer exists.

Is there a reason for this?

You need maps with cspeech files for voice recognition. Check if your cracked map has the files. If not, then you can't use voice recognition and you have to look for the map which has.

Exactly what I am keeping in my Internal Memory card is v7.162 with TTS. My other external cards are for testing only, and mp3 and video player.

I just installed it on my One V3, there is no MP3 player in this navcore, if there is one it's not showing up on my One.

I build a personnal Menu on my One so I add some extra feature like MediaCenter, File Reader and Itinary Creator, I can also swap between original menu and personnal one, if you need more info on how to do it PM me I can send you some pre-make files/folder to put in your One... Not sure if it fits on all One version I don't remember I did that long time ago...

I saw that One V3 was not in your working list, didn't check all post if somebody already tried it, but it's working fine on mine I used SE_ttsystem7.481.9086.NoTTS.not.for.gox10 didn't try the other file

TTuser, I saw that your one of the TomTom masters :) I don't know if you can take 1 minute to check my thread here http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=249755 and if you can help me on that... We are 10 peoples working at the same place using the OneV3 and are always on the road, I would like to add them this feature to help them to avoid powering off the One when arriving at destination.

For X10, this version is better than the navcore V8.
There is no LaneRoute and IQRoute who are gadgets i think , but the positioning GPS driving is much better, especially at intersections and roundabouts.
the calculation and display are faster
The maps V7.20 and V8.05 are identicals.
If you are disappointed of navigation with navcore V8, come back to this version more fluid.
Only one problem, old remote control no more supported by tomtom ...

I have just downgraded from cracked navcore 8.010 to TTUSER cracked navcore 7.481.9086 version.

This version runs so much quicker with my TTONE original. Navcore 8 seems to use up too much RAM as I only had 2-3mb ram free out of total 32mb with TTS enabled.

With Navcore 7481 I now have 6-7mb RAM free and that is with TTS enabled and running perfectly and smoothly.

My TTONE original also has folders for MP3, custom car symbols, quick menu button installed and working well on 4gb Transcend SD card.

Only problem now is when I clickon Mapshare button in menu, it says that It is not possible to use Mapshare with this map after installing TTUSER navcore 7481 and TT Home does not recognise mapshare on my devise to enable updates, but was working perfectly with navcore 8010.

I am using cracked version of Australia 720.1838 maps.


Is there a way to get Mapshare back with navcore 7481 as I do not want to go back to navcore 8 because it slows my device down to a crawl with TTS enabled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
