If you bought it from a company or third party, that happens quite a bit as alot of companies lock their handhelds. You can use someone else's SIM card (if you are on a GSM network), or sign up for BES and when you establish your account in your BB, it will clear that security provision. Jim You are not fully right. Yes, this happens a lot in BB Phones. they lock their phone with an IT Policy. You just need to upload a Blank IT Policy. Thats it. all restriction will be clear.
