:excited: Upgrade Quickoffice 3.0 to Quickoffice Premier 5.0 Absolutely Free :excited:
ONLY FOR HACKED FIRMWARE

This post is only meant for those who have hacked their phones (famous FCA patch) and will not work for the normal ones. If you are interested in hacking your phone then visit this thread ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

If you are leeching this tutorial to some othe forum, then please show some courtesy

Before you start, here are the requirements:

:arrow: You should have Quickoffice v3.x or v4.x installed. (For those who have v5.x installed, I will post the solution to remove it shortly)

:arrow: X-plore file manager is preferred. You can use any file manager of your choice but I have used X-plore in this tutorial.

:arrow: Your phone should have good internet connectivity (LAN, 3G, etc). You need to download approx 3.3 MB of data.

:arrow: On your phone make a folder E:\Quickoffice\ and copy the supplied quickofficePU_5016.sis file to it. We will install it later.

Lets do it

Start Quickoffice and scroll to Quickmanager tab by pressing joystick right. Then select "Updates & upgrades" by clicking it.

Confirm when prompted to connect to internet and select the access point. Now the catalog will get updated and presented to you. Select Quickoffice 5.0 by clicking on it.

When this page appears select Purchase (left softkey). You will then get prompted for Full license. Press OK (left softkey)

Now the following screen will be shown and downloading will start. When the download completes, you will be prompted to press 'Continue'. BUT DO NOT PRESS IT

:arrow: Step 1
Now without closing Quickoffice switch to X-Plore and browse to C:\private\200002c0\. This folder will contain a file named install.zip. Copy this file to the E:\Quickoffice\ folder. Now switch back to Quickoffice, cancel the purchase and close it.

:arrow: Step 2
If you want to get your copy of Adobe Reader LE 2.5 Retail absolutely free then proceed to this thread ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) now before you continue any further (You won't be able to do it later, we will continue from here once you are done installing Adobe Reader LE 2.5).
Now install the E:\Quickoffice\quickofficePU_5016.sis. After installation do not start Quickoffice.

:arrow: Step 3
Create the following folders & sub folders if they don't already exist:
c:\system\data\Quickoffice\license_install\W910003 \

Open up E:\Quickoffice\install.zip in X-plore and extract data.xml & key files to the folder we just now created above (Mark those files & press 4 to extract).

If your phone is N95 8GB then you need to restart your phone before starting Quickoffice.

All done! :D Now you have your very own full retail version of Quickoffice Premier v5.0. In case you ever format your phone or upgrade firmware just perform Steps 2 & 3. Preserve the E:\Quickoffice\ folder and its contents for future installations.

I have personally followed this procedure on my N73 & N95 successfully. On N73 for internet connectivity I used bluetooth (GnuBox) :D
Edit[aloycasmir] : This has been tested to work on quickoffice v3 basic version only.
So no more discussions for v4.0 or higher users in this thread

the great thing on that trick is that all further updates are free as you own a full licensed copy.

I tried removing all the files as found in the QO 4.5 update including the hash files then rebooted the phone and quickoffice wouldn't open - it would open for a millisecond then close. So I reinstalled QO 4.5.14 without problem and its working fine again.

Any idea what went wrong?

Open the zip file on your computer and you'll find the sis file.

Mate if you followed the FCA's procedure then hacking your phone is damn easy. With all due respect to the hackers, the cr*cked version has been posted many times here but has failed. And this procedure is giving you the retail version of the product :D

But the problem is once you update a product the quickmanager gets updated to a newer version and this trick won't work on it. My idea is to install the product & remove it. Then install the next product & remove it and so on... This way I'll get my license keys saved and then install them again all together. If you have a better idea or method please do share with us :D

Mate sure Adobe pdf can also be done, but didn't try it since a fully working cr*cked version is availabe here.

Mate this is not a cr*cked version, but you will be getting your own retail license for free with this trick. And no such problems in this one

Also keep a copy of these two files alongwith the SIS file to a folder of your choice for future installations. Do this now.

Can somebodyn provide these files (I have the sis) because after completing installation and hack, they were gone in the created folder....

Nice find mate. Also I noticed the file C:\data\system\quickoffice\unlockcodes\2.txt which contains an 8-digit unlock code. May be we could directly use it the next time we install after formating/firmware upgrade ;)

I think that it should be added to firs post that you dont need copy data.xml and key to protected folder, you can copy them direct to C:\data\system\quickoffice\licenses\quickofficepre mier which isn't protected, also if you copy to first folder you can find your registration data in C:\data\system\quickoffice\licenses\quickofficepre mier

Mate when did you try all this? I have updated the first post. Some members have successfully upgraded from v4.5.

I guess the manual removal didn't go through well for you. So do one thing, install v4.5 again and then follow the procedure.

That's weird...Can you try opening up the SIS file on your PC in SISware or some may be SISXplore? Also have you tried copying it again to your phone?

In theory it should be possible to do this with quickoffice 5 already installed, look:
c:\resource\apps\qoversion.txt
c:\private\200002C0\suppress_retry.dat
c:\system\data\Quickoffice\0x200002C0.reg
Those files contain text: 5.0.16.0 WEB-S6030-SC-PremPU
I think that if you change this to 4.5 you will be able to download 5 version...

Mate first you need to get rid of this cracked version. The only way right now is to format the phone :ashamed: I am still trying to get rid of the upgrade by manual deletion of installed files...but no luck yet.

You could also try and install v4.5 over 5.0. I don't think its possible...but give it a try

I own the same phone and when i had previously tried to install the cr4acked version of quickoffice i found that it did not edit so i tried to install the lower version which was 4.5 and when the phone asked to reboot it refused to come back on. I then had to do a hard reset to get the phone back to normal.:forsaken:

My suggestion is, save your data (ie contacts) then do a reset.
After that you can do this version of quickoffice just like the rest of us.

Now you can only get your phone back to normal by doing a hard format/reset

Have you found a way to remove the QO upgrade for thos who have already upgraded? Format is not gonna be a feasable option for many since working cracked version is available ;)

I have finally found the solution to upgrade Adobe Reader LE 2.5 too. This goes for all...even those who have already upgraded QO to v5.0. I'm updating my first post now.

Mate first you need to get rid of this cracked version. The only way right now is to format the phone :ashamed: I am still trying to get rid of the upgrade by manual deletion of installed files...but no luck yet.

You could also try and install v4.5 over 5.0. I don't think its possible...but give it a try



then i cant update it.. shame.. i dont want to format my phone.. i installed so much applications on it.. i dont want to do it all over again...

This isnt bug at all, it is mentioned as normal in oficial installation instructions

iv got the QuickWeather working also using same method, open quickoffice and goto quickmanager and select quickoffice products, select quickweather and download it and dont close the screen, goto c/private/200002c0 and find the install.zip file in the folder, copy it then paste it to E:\ close quickoffice, install the quickweather app and make folder c:\system\data\quickoffice\license_install\WA00003 and put the key and data.xml in that folder, reboot and enjoy quickweather

i did install it to test and take the screenshots but iv removed it so not sure if it updates the quickmanager, it did install a quick License manager tho, and yes swankyleo, update the post with this if u like, u dnt have to ask mate :good2:

looking forward to the uninstaler, ill try QO v5 then and if i dnt like it, i can remove it, have a look at c:\private\200002c0\installation, theres an installation log, have u tried to delete it then try and update to adobe reader after updating to v5 of QO? this may be the file that tells the installer that QO has updated to v5 so wnt update adobe reader as it reads this file?

Ok, I will write here simple hacking procedure, it was posted but maybe it was too long for some peoples:

1. Download & Install on PC:
a. Python: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
b. pyserial: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
c. pywin32: [Only registered and activated users can see links]

2. Download & Install on mobile phone TRK application & download python script (for 9.1 script and TRK are in one rar archive for 9.2 they are separate):
a. Symbian 9.1:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
b. Symbian 9.2:
[Only registered and activated users can see links] ... k_2_7.sisx
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

3. Connect phone to PC

4. Run TRK application on mobile phone

5. Go to "Settings" and change connection type to USB

6. Select "Connect"

7. On PC open device manager

8. Go to Ports

9. You will see: "Nokia XXXX USB (COMX)" Where XXXX is your Nokia type and X is COM port number

10. Open Python script which you downloaded for your platform (you can do this with notepad)

11. Find "ser = serial.Serial(5)"

12. Now change this "5" to:
0 if your phone is on COM 1
1 if your phone is on COM 2
3 if your phone is on COM 3
etc.
If your phone is on COM 6 you dont need change this "5"

13. Save Python script

14. Double click to run it (during installation python will register it extension so you are able to simple double click on script icon)

15. You are done, use X-plore to view sys and private folders

There is no reason it would say this if you used the one posted here. We all(almost...) have v3.x pre-installed on our phones and it works for us.

Big Mistakes , might this helpfull for people don't know this.

Don't try to overwrite installation of Quick Office, because it's will make your phone running very very slowly. i just don't know why this happening, but now my phone is very slow.

From where you got v4.5. If it was from this forum, point me to it. I suggest that you try to install v4.5 available from this forum again, then after restarting try installing v5 :)

sorry to bother you all but when i try t update my quickoffice it gives me an error message of "catalogue update failed try again" why is that?

Step 2
If you want to get your copy of Adobe Reader LE 2.5 Retail absolutely free then proceed to this thread now before you continue any further (You won't be able to do it later, we will continue from here once you are done installing Adobe Reader LE 2.5).
Now install the E:\Quickoffice\quickofficePU_5016.sis. After installation do not start Quickoffice. This step is easy to miss , i did that so check it out. Hope this helps. 8-)

I have E51 hacked version. I use (Wlan) to connect to the net but wen i try to update it says

Mate try restarting your phone and give it another go. If still the same, then can you upload here a list of the files (or better a zip of those files) in C:\Private\200002c0 and its sub-folders. Few other fellas had the same problem...I'll try to find out. Thanks :)

After the deletion, I restart my phone and the quickoffice is back to v3.8. But it seems the quickoffice locate the v3.8 in the ROM Drive (Z Drive), so the loading when opening quickoffice is slow.

I have downloaded the QuickOffice 5 catalog, get the xml and the key. Download this quickofficePU_5016.sis. After trying to install, it seem success, I have passed 6 dialog box when installing, but when the progress is near the end, It still says unable to install. So I'm still failed, Is there something missed?

hi swankyleo im getting the same error message as sweetboy when i try to upgrade to v5, ive got the standard version installed at the moment, have been trying to upgrade to version 4 but just carnt seem to get anything installed at the moment, keep getting error message of untrusted app and cert error, to be honest i carnt seem to download anything at the moment from my phone, im gonna go through all the cracks and hacks again to see if it could have soemthing to do with that

Why cant anybody make a keygen out of this? There are so many people out there who dont want to hack their phone (like me)....so for their sake sumbody give a keygen for QO-5.016.....it will be simple and quicker.....and not to mention safer...

Thanks for this instructions. I bought the 4.5 after I got my E90 and then they released 5.x with ability to print (the preinstalled app can print but the 4.5 disables that ability). A "free" upgrade to 5.x is perfect.

E90 FW 200 have different QuickOffice which will not allowing this download to work. Any idea s how we can have its work around.

QuickOffice 4.1.27.5 and ask for CreditCard :(

Should I install 4.5 crack? try some and it crash the phone. "Contact Retailer" so hard boot required... Sooooooo Can someone give us a solution to this problem?

Some more info.. all the previous crack version cant be installed even using copyleft. They all just crash the phone. Still waiting for a solution

redownload again. You need a stable internet connection on your phone. If the download disconnected when it's not complete, the file is corrupted.

set in the tools >> configure >> and give a check in the show system files and folder and give another check in show hidden files.

at least you have to initiate the download first and you'll see the files (don't forget to set your x-plore to show hidden files & show system files and folder).

Please some users beware, this does not work on all phones, i have an e90, hacked of course. I followed this to the letter and i ended up with office 5 installed, looked wonderful till i tried to open a document. Told i needed a registration key by the app and also had an option to enter reg key under options menu. Tried to uninstall to no avail, failed each time. Had to format phone and start from scratch to get original office back. I can assure you i'm not a dummy when it comes to this stuff and it didnt work for me.

My BinNPDA version 4.25 won't download the 5 version....

The screen stays there and the connection works...

These problems occured after the update of my N95 8GB...
It was corrupted like a very old snale.....

Now, I used several methods and even steps 2 and 3 with use of my old restored files...

I think that I am been blocked over at quickoffice...

That will explain the non-downloading option...

I will drop back at version 4.25 (BiNPDA) and feeling cheated....

I managed to upgrade to 5 no problems but i didnt use the 4.25 binpda

You shouldn't try to format ur phone . it's no longer needed .
I'm trying to see if it works . will take a few mins to post results .

Using X-Plore browse to :
C: \ Data \ System \ Quickoffice \ licences \ Adobe..... or Quickoffice......

There copy and paste the 'data.xml' and 'key' file .

Done:LoL: . Enjoy Quick office/Adobe reader lite on your phone without formatting .

I had caps enabled in the rompatcher(don't know why,maybe i did the process twice:oops2:).When i disabled the caps i found the private folder and now everything is ok.

*THIS will not work if you already updated your QO to v5 as it will ask for a payment*

Start QuickOffice and scroll to Quickmanager tab by pressing joystick right. Then select "Updates & upgrades" by clicking it.

Confirm when prompted to connect to internet and select the access point. Now the catalog will get updated and presented to you. Select Adobe Reader LE 2.5 by clicking on it.

When this page appears select Purchase (left softkey). You will then get prompted for Full license. Press OK (left softkey)

Now the following screen will be shown and downloading will start. When the download completes, you will be prompted to press 'Continue'. BUT DO NOT PRESS IT

Now without closing QuickOffice switch to X-Plore and browse to C:\private\200002c0. This folder will contain a file named install.zip. Copy this file to a safe place, lets say to E:\. Now switch back to QuickOffice, cancel the purchase and close it.

Now install the adobereaderLM.sis, LINK HERE ... [Only registered and activated users can see links] .. After installation do not start Adobe Reader LE.

Create the following folders & sub folders if they don't already exist:
c:\system\data\quickoffice\license_install\WAF0003

Open up install.zip in X-plore and extract data.xml & key files to the folder we just created (Mark those files & press 4 to extract). Also keep a copy of these two files alongwith the SIS file to a folder of your choice for future installations. Do this now.

If your phone is N95 8GB then you need to restart your phone. Now you can start Adobe Reader LE.
The WAF0003 folder will get deleted automatically after starting Adobe Reader.

P.S. if this works all credit goes to swankyleo as i used his same method but changed the location of files etc.

Hmmm - tried this before when my phone wasn't hacked and it would have worked. Just tried again now my phone is hacked and it asks for details of my credit card before downloading! have they grown wise to this and changed it? Or am I doing something wrong?

first i follow all your step and get stuck, my QO is just v4.019.xxx after update theres no QO5, only adobeLE 2.5........ upgraded to QOv4.5 (Cracked unsigned) and recheck the updates...... wallaa here come QO5.. and suscessfully update to QO5 and Adobe reader 2.5 full license.

My phone is E61 firmware v3.xxx (latest) im gonna try this method for my E90, hope no problem found.

When i connect thru internet, it says that my nokia "download" catalogue needs to update. But when i tried to open tha "download", it doesn't open. looks like it was corrupted. I am trying to installed quickoffice v5.0.
I also tried to go to nokia site to download their latest "donwload" software but when during installation it says "update error". What does it mean?
