On 910 1+5+8 with 12 gigs for mp3 files, total ram amount is 64mb available, on one only 32mb, we can't compare.

I mean what like you all to have, what is the Target to have working?

I've never used TTS (I'm a TomTom One V2 owner), and while I'm curious how useful it is, it isn't necessary.

I expect most would love to see V8+TTS though ;).

I tried to download the new #5 (23/04) but Rapîde Share gave me a 5 digites code to enter to start the download process but I can enter only FOUR (4) digites so I can't download the last version!...
Is there other's who get this problem?

I have a TT1V1 with the Zibri Navcore 7 patch plus TTuser map patch.
Everything works well including TTS, MP3, photos etc but the unit does slow down if you have too many POIs checked to show on the map.

I have tried Navcore 8 but failed.

I now have a 720 with Navcore official 7 plus the V.7 map and will wait until V.8 map comes out before I try to get Navcore 8 to work with it. I am sure that I will be able to but at this stage Navcore 8 sems to give nothing extra unless you have the maps.

1.) UNIT-ERROR
Using Unit TTOne V4 (new edition) with SD 2 GB and Navcore 8 (org) with Boot 5.5010.
In Folder \ephem\ is correcly downloaded the file lto.dat (for QuickGPSFix)

Sometimes if unit will booting (not from sleepmodus) the file was deleted so that
unit can`t find quick a GPS communication.

2.) MAP-ERROR
with map Wester_and_Central_Europe_715_1703 you can`t navigate
simple route each from standing locaton to an adress look like (germann : Solingen - Hannover ) - thats a sample - the Route-collation is broken with an error. He can`t finished.
The same navigation with another map (Western_Europe) works correcly.

You are SO correct. V8 contains nothing important enough to upgrade at this time. Since no one [had] ever detailed the improvments, I jumped through the hoops and got V8 working with my 7.15 maps. Results equalled no improvement whatsoever. Total waste of time. Actually, I'm really questioning whether or not the 7.15 maps are actually inferior to older releases.

I too, will wait till the V8 maps are released and hopefully will see justification to install the questionable *cough* upgrade [?]

The reason I like this version for now; is that I can change the speedlimitations and change the wrong "turn" limitations, in mapshare.
All works as good as the 7.221 version so I vote for the v8.002.

I use my TT to go to work everyday just for fun and have used the Nav8 for few days now. I noticed that it gave me a different route than the 7.221 or even the 7.4xx. Perhaps, this is because the Nav8 has what they called "intelligent routing"? It would be perfect if only I could get TTS working on my TT one (new v2 aka v4)..........

After upgrade of tthome to version 2.3 I cannot use any English US voices on my tomtom go 920 with installed version 8.002. TThome doesnt show them in add voices section and refuses to load them from my computer (given me that they are incompatible with my firmware). I tried to reinstall tthome to 2.2.2.83, when load Susan voice from my computer. TThome 2.2.2.83 shows that Susan files installed correctly, but then I try to set the voice in my tomtom I did not see Susan among installed voices.
Could you please help?
I know I have an option to install 7.481 firmware through TT home, when install voices, then overwrite internal memory with original 8.002 and put patched emux30 ttsystem file. But its a real hassle. There should be easier way to put English voices back to life. I just checked English US files are indeed installed on the device.

After a frustrating 12 hours trying to get my 910 to work, I finally figured out what is meant by all of the instructions and have a working 8.002 system with Australian V705 maps.

GeeCee's method works: I will just add a few bits that were confusing me:

1. I started from a working 7.162 system. Bootloader 5.5. (Don't ask me how I got 5.5 on there, it just happened somewhere along the way!!)
2. Copied ttn file from #5 "SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.gox10.emux30" DIR>"If you get Errormessage" (the one I used, downloaded APR 25 is 102 bytes. DO NOT use the 4Mb one in "outsourced.bin"! This was the singlemost crucial step I had been screwing up!!
3. Reboot 910. Ensure that I finally had the DIR>FLASH files. (I had not know what I was expecting to get in this Flash directory. It will have one directory called "sysfile" with 5 files in there and upto 11 files fom your original installation in it in the Flash directory itself, this may vary depending on how many maps you have had installed.)
4. Deleted everything except for Maps and Voices
5. Copied contents from #1 "navcore_SE_8.002.9117_basicpack" to 910
6. Copied ttsystem file from #5 "SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.gox10.emux30"to 910.
7. Copied ALL files from #5 "SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.gox10.emux30" DIR>Outsorced.bin to root of 910.
8. Rebooted.

This has resulted in a working 8.002 installation. I didn't need to crack the maps (they had been previously cracked under 7.162). TTHome still complains, but I'll live with that until later.

I have not tried TTS, or ASR yet. I'm just glad I finally nutted it out. (without asking questions!!)
EDIT: ASR functional (with V700 Aus maps, v705 not enabled), TTS Functional. Dimming seems to work, but reckons it's "dark" earlier than 7.162. Don't know about "slow down", haven't used it enough yet.

To reiterate.... Steps 2 and 7 for me were crucial, don't do these right and it won't work, and you won't get away fom the reversed screen input.

Thanks to TTUser :idol:,for providing the files and to GeeCee whose little burst I finally managed to figure out!!

All I need now is a Gox20 remote and I'm gigglin'!! :ilove:

if TTS, then what type are they: large TTS files for x10 or smaller x20/x30 files?

I have large TTS Kate installed and have no issues with slow voices. I suspect that small TTS files causing slow voice issue for some users.

NO one have say use a ttn which you somewhere have found.
Instruction is strictly the ttn file which you find in "If you get a Errormessage" Folder.

This should not happens with 4 or 5 and only this two are recommend for x10. If all not help can you always use the poweroff file and you have always a fresh device.

ok. UK TTS voices works best for unit set to English UK. dont ask me why. this is my experience as well. I have no issues with UK Kate or UK Simon and my device is also set to UK english ;) Just thought that I will share this information with forum.

Quick question, I have this navcore version in my GO510 with the North_America_2GB v715 map. When I connect it to TT Home (v 2.2) and choose 'Traffic', the only option I get is traffic for Europe. Am I correct to assume that this is the case because I'm using this version of navcore?

Hi, i want to try the X30 TTS Voices from TTUser´s first post on my 910.
But the folder looks very different now.
I download the voloquendo7 voices from TomTom and the X30.LoquendoTTS.rar from TT User but it doesnt work.
Can somebody please post where or how i have to copy those files on my 910?

Delete all inside LoquendoTTS Folder copy then Voice inside and overwrite it with the Files from X30LoquendoTTS.rar.
Except you have a Device with original TTS (910, XLS or x20) then can you use the original Voicefile.

A few days ago I installed Nav 8 to my 720. Everything works fine. Today I unlock the new v8 maps an now I don't have voiceimput. I downloaded 8. ASR and copied it to my go. But it still don't work. The file support_asr has the entry "1".

Try to delete and see if it is needed, we don't know why some devices arrive at point that not needs, but my 910 ever it's necessary to work with nav8 :pmpl:

In my device the Flash directory was necessary, but I deleted all and I copied in SD the original x30 files. Now works great without Flash directory.

I now have the "Hide Lane Images" Button, but
TomTom Home does not recognize the map v8?
I have even recognised.
I took a route known and wanted to see the demo with photos,
but there is no reality-show images.
Perhaps the realityview works "an obligation"?

Nobody with a solution or not recognize the same problem?

There is no MENU for IQ-routes.

Only when you 'plan your route' you see after the calculation that IQ-route is used.

The menu 'Planning preferences' has an extra button 'IQ Routes' where you can set 'Enable'/'Disable' IQ Routes.

I don' t know, if you remember:
I reported earlier that my GO 700 freezes when navigating by adress. The strange thing was that this only happend to some countries (e.g. Hungary, Poland, etc.).
The "save ram ttsystem" didn't solve my problem either.
Now I found out that the reason definitly were missing cspeech files. I copied and renamed one of the existing cspeech files (i've choosen the smallest one to save disk-space) e.g. to cspeech_HUN.dat (for Hungary) and cspeech_POL.dat (for Poland). Then I copied this files into the map folder. Now navigation by adress is working for Hungary and Poland. All I further have to do is to find out which three letters I have to use for other countries (CRO didn't work for Croatia, BUL didn't work for Bulgaria). If anyone knows the right letters, please let me know.

Edit: Now I even found out, which three letters are the right ones. They are the three letter code of standard ISO 3166. Now navigation to all countries is working.

Everything seems to work great, also with the new V8 map.... only i can't get Home to recognise the map.

I have a tt One v2 and used the following from page 1 :
- 1. Basic Pack without ASR and ttsystem
- 7. No TTS x30 Emu.

Everything works oke (inclusive the Advanced Line Guidance)

BUT when I install a POI with speedcams with for example the folowing 3 files:
- Speedcams.ogg
- Speedcams.ov2
- Speedcams.bmp

and set this POI to alarm me 500 meters in advance all the sound is gone!!

I use a normal voice (Eva) and when I give a hard reset all the sounds inclusive the voice Eva is back. But when I pase the Speedcam POI all the sound is gone again.......

Is there anybody who has a solution????

Do you mean text to speech with that, if so, let me know how you did it. I've a v2 as well and everythings works (expect quickgps updates and the night color scheme) but even after installing the dutch voice saskia I can't select the computer voice.

Everything works ok if I dont want to press a button for navigation.

Example: MainMenu/Route A-B/From Home to/Adress/Street and Hausnumber/

---> And my TT goes all the time to freezen.

if you are freezing and restarting when trying to set a route, check our map for cspeech.GIB if its there change it to
cspeech.GBR and it will work if its great britian you want it worked for me on a go300

Now, when I want to turn off my device, it doesn't go off, but goes in 'sleeping'-mode.

A few guys posted this before, but I think I'll simply say it again:

The new Western Europe map 800.1766 doesn't come with all the cspeech_XXX.dat files you need. Once you try to navigate, your device will freeze and reboot. Simple solution that worked on my old, classic Tomtom Go: Take one of the smaller cspeech-files you have in the map folder (like cspeech_SMR.dat), make a copy and rename it to cspeech_DEU.dat (for Germany) and you're ready to go there.

Took the plunge and loaded 1 + 3 to my 720, it fired up ok, but voice input was gone and when I connected to Tom Tom home 2.3 it refused to do so saying that it was incorrect operating system. so back to Nav.7

Noticed that Mapshare worked with Map 7 Australian so that was a bonus but need to be able to update via home.

Any ideas.

I believe for a non-TTS installation, LoquendoTTS folder is not required.
All you need are \Sounds folder (sounds for POI warnings) and \Voices folder (data##.chk, vif files) and .ov2/.bmp files (POIs) in your map folder.

I installed on my TT V2 the Navcore v8: ---> navcore_SE_8.002.9117_basicpack + SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.emux30 + Map Western_and_Central_Europe_800_1762.
Everything works to perfection.

But that does not work the Loquendo. I provide all possible combinations and all recommendations ... but it does not work the voices Computer.

The unit TTone V2 is the best of the units ONE (V1-4) to use the navc. SE 8.
My TTone V2 works fine with pack 1 + 5 and Outsoureced.bin and all cspeech_xxx.dat in the folder of the map 800.1766.
Only the TTS is in this time not working, but i need not TTS.

For me all works. V8 maps, IQ routes, advance line guidance, loquendo, mapshare, altitude, tomplayer, bluetooth, car symbol, vocal input and finally my TT is more fast then version 7.22

Not a problem. Just make a backup using Windows Explorer or Apple Finder first, then delete everything from storage and empty the trash can.

As per instructions, I loaded the ttn available in 5, w/ older working setup, did a reboot, deleted all files/directories except "Flash, mp3, photos, art, schemes". Reloaded 1, 8, 5. Now got "No Map message"

Loaded North_America_2GB v715.1712 map, and things seem fine, except
for TTS. I loaded EnglishUS directory (including Susan) from old working
setup (Navcore 7.xxx) but TTS was no working... keep saying no voice files available. BTW, ASR seems to work a lot better than my old version

Can someone point to where I can download voice files that will work w/
Navcore-8?

Also, I keep getting a message "Can't save settings". I had tried to clear
using "ClearFlash" tool from TomTom, but not sure if I am doing it right.

You need to start from a clean LoquendoTTS (L-TTS)files. you can download that from a thread here.
Then patch the new L-TTS with 4 or 5 (emu x20 or emx30) and over write the files as instructed.
This should fix that problem of "cant save settings", this worked for me.

If you have the noflashmount Problem is it useless to run a Clearflash because the flash is then simple not exist. the flash exist then on Sdcard also the settings file. Try a chkdsk or delete manually the settings.dat.

Its for all a good choice to set it over the MenuButton back to Standardsettings.

Quickgpsfix+Home 2.3 works without a Problem.

I also put the needed files to my 910 but screen seems inverted. touch screen is not working true, what can i do any idea?

My TT920 works fine with 930 Files. It have all 930 features in it. But Tomtom reboots after switching off once, twice. Turns off after the third switch off. What goes wrong there?

The compass feature has been changed in Navcore V8, For one reason or the other, TomTom decided the compass can only be turned on or off, and when it’s turned on, it will always point North. Setting it to drive direction or direction of destination is no longer possible.

I guess I got the sequence incorrect. Is the LoquendoTTS main folder
same as for NavCore7? I have this one downloaded already and I don't
want to have to go through the pain of downloading from Rapidshare
again.

-- Use original LoquendoTTS as a starting point, w/ necessary voices
(This is same as LoquendoTTS used for Navcore7)
-- Overwrite files in LoquendoTTS from #1 (Basic release) of Navcore-8
-- This should get TTS working.

BTW, any idea on what is different in X30.LoquendoTTS voices? Are
they any better than the older versions? Also, I saw a link for X30.LoquendoTTS, but have not seen the links to the voices.

Without cspeech_XXX.dat files some get a freez when trying to enter a adress. You only need to put this files in the map folder if you have the freezing problem.

For the freezing problem: I used an empty textfile and renamed it. For use in all countries in WACE these files are needed:

cspeech_ALB.dat

Only thing: I don't hear the camera-sound anymore when making a screendump . . .

TTUser: When, for some reason, I want to switch back to v7 on my other SD-card, must I put the Outsourced.bin-folder also on the v7 SD-Card, or can I leave it original?

I have a tt One v2 and used the following from page 1 :
- 1. Basic Pack without ASR and ttsystem
- 7. No TTS x30 Emu.

Everything works oke (inclusive the Advanced Line Guidance)

BUT when I install a POI with speedcams with for example the folowing 3 files:
- Speedcams.ogg
- Speedcams.ov2
- Speedcams.bmp

and set this POI to alarm me 500 meters in advance all the sound is gone!!

I use a normal voice (Eva) and when I give a hard reset all the sounds inclusive the voice Eva is back. But when I pase the Speedcam POI all the sound is gone again.......

Is there anybody who has a solution????

I did it this way:

1. Place OGG-files in a tempory folder
2. Set the POI-alarm with the normal sounds
3. Place the OGG-files back in the MAP-folder
4. Done

A other Version knows, recognizes the Folder not. And the Files are only for the 8.002, with the next new Version can you not use the same Files, you need then to use the new Files from the right Version.
(The 800 Map eat many more Ram as a other Map.)

The cspeech files are used for speech recogmition which the 920 and 930 features and also most of those with a microphone. Speech recognition means being able to use your voice to tell the TT where to navigate. You think your dummy text file will be efficient in getting your prononciation of «Keweanzbworo» to be recognized and converted to a right spelling of «Queensborough»?:hehe: Do not confuse TTS and automatic speech recognition (ASR). We have a problem «Hee-oo-stern» or «Austin»?

When you have the freezing problem you need for every map (v7xx and v8xx) a cspeech_XXX.dat file, even if this feature is not offered for a certain map by TomTom (like the map of Brazil).

Even if you're using a 715 map with navcore 8! I.E. if you're using DACH 715, you will need a cspeech_DEU.dat, cspeech_CHE.dat and a cspeech_AUT.dat in your DACH map folder, even if you're using a device without a microphone, or the device will freeze and reboot, when you're entering an address.
In that case, just create an empty text file in Notepad or TextEdit, and save it under the desired name. Hope that helps.

You'll probably have to patch the TTHome dlls, too.
(All I have to do is click that message away on TTH:Mac, and mapshare and quickfix work)

Do you know what this thread is about? Do you know what NavCore v8 offers and what maps are available with the required meta? Have you read this thread from the beginning? If I understand your question, and you write you only have 512MB of internal memory, your question is senseless...:confused:

I got v8 maps+ nv core ( i used Complete from User "edel_hert" created working onexl Backup (include SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.NO.TTS.not.gox10.emux30)

some voices dont work even if i reinstall them
reality view doesnt work ( i have tomtom one )

Mine didn't work eighter, but after a full reset I was also able to turn on and of the reallity view in the preferens menu...

i have crack the DLL home is there is way to know if i have the to turn lane guide on or of.

It does not work on my TT300
I tried 1+2, 1+3, 1+6 and 1+7 with the map W&C_Europe 8.00 1766
Loaded everything on a clean SD-cart
ttsystem was pached and map was also patched
In all cases the TomTom starts up and after a few seconds it stops and only a reset can make it alive again.
Someone knows the answer?

i find only to Crack the dll file and i did it .
i notice when i update my mapshare several time the version stay the same 25025

again my excuses if i ask the same what others does but i looked arround and didnt find anything,

Works great on my 720.
The fm transmitter is as great as it was with the older Navcore 7.221.
I tried to copy the two fm files from the old Navcore into the root directory and I experience no change.
The problem I experienced is my good fm channel didn't work unless I unplugged the cigeratte lighter.

Is there a way for having the 910 remote controller working with navcore 8 ?? I would really like to have it working for mp3 songs...

you can try the "original Version" with "5. gox10 with Display or slow Sound Problem x30 Emu."

Does anyone have the TTS working with TomTom ONE v2 (aka 4) with this navcore? because it worked well with navcore 7.221 but I don't seem to get it working now with this version 8. Already tried the x30 tts folder as well as the voice files too. I can select it. ok, but Amalia doesn't say a word! she keeps quiet like a stone!!!

either the original or fake one.

Uh...what? Yes, of course. You'd need to drop all the 54 files into the North America folder, same as you would need to drop a deu, che and aut into the DACH folder, and so on.

I have a One XL HD Traffic and tried some Navocre 8 releases. Sometimes lane assist didn't work but now I found a release from Yarda which works. But the traffic part still does not work because it gives the message that the SIM is not correct. Anybody has a working version and what version did you use?

Mine are greyed out and cannot be ticked. Also what is the car preferences icon for on page 6 of preferences, as again mine is greyed out.

I think voice must not be a recorded human voice but computer voice...Only computer voice can read streets and road names...

I have computer voice installed which workes with the speech recognition, and it works very well.I just thought I might be missing something.

You need to have TTS, ie LoquendoTTS and the appropriate speech files.

Do I have to get just some of the files (what numbers?), or is there an other way with the full version of Edelhart on it.

1 Because in version u used TTuser moved some files in SD card instead RAM to have more free RAM (I think)

2 Line guidance on full screen is showed only in some motorway junctions, where map contains the data... in future maps it will be displayed in more junctions

First of all a great THANKS to TTUser.

Then what I've done:

Patched all on my 910 device "mixing" the TTUser release with some files (not useful for the normal work) from the original x30 backup downloaded from emule.
I've used the #5 TTSystem patch due the common problem with the standard patched TTSystem
I've, then, copied the v8 map (Western_and_Central_Europe (800.1766)) activated with the v7 keygen (works like a charm). Then I overwrote the following directories with the 730 original files: raster. LoquendoTTS, Help, ART and installed again the Altitude app.

All works like a charm except for the remote (but we know this issue) and old favourites (these favourits are not compatible with v8 firmware; nor in v7 maps neither in v8).

I've encountered only a couple of problems using TTHome (with the patched Dll):
1) Computer voices are not recognized on the Home interface and, after running the Home this one resets the voice forcing me to select the computer voice each time I reboot the device.
2) each time I run the Home interface to activate the go the shortcuts menu (the arrow on the main screen) resets their parameters.
I think, obviously, that these bugs are not related to the v8 version but to the wrong patch for the home dll.

Working fine on TomTom One V3 - just had to copy the files from the initial RAR file. Most of the extra features work but I'm not going to try TTS etc as I don't have room on the internal memory for it.

Now to put the latest maps on...

you can try the "original Version" with "5. gox10 with Display or slow Sound Problem x30 Emu."

I got it to work on a 910.
However, when it is connect to the computer, the image that usually says "do not connect" is not there. The image is a half black and half white.

If others say sdhc works then should it also works by you, i cant know what works by you or by a one because i have not your device or a other one. BL can you easy update, you need only to copy the system file to root and by next boot update the tt itself alone. the file is inside complete .cab or renamed to system1 in basicpack

OK, let me put it this way: the 8GB SDHC card works without a problem in the device. As soon as TomTom Home tries to access the card however, TTH takes a crap and crashes. It's always some damn thing.

my tomtom 510 work very well into TTHOME (navcore8se + map v.8) but it does not boot when i use it in stand alone!

OK, let me put it this way: the 8GB SDHC card works without a problem in the device. As soon as TomTom Home tries to access the card however, TTH takes a crap and crashes. It's always some damn thing.

I have a ONE XL-S and an SDHC card adapter with 4GB SDHC card. In TT Home, latest version, it allows to choose the drive letter, either internal memory or the SD card with the SDHC adapter. With the SDHC adapter, all file operations are done right within Home. If I only load the card in the SDHC adapter, Home recognizes it as a TTsystem and starts. Of course, with ONE models, you need to transfer all internal memory to the SDHC card. I can connect the XL-S with the USB cable and also the SD card into the SDHC adapter and Home will ask which memory to choose. If a ONE owner wants to get rid of problems, he needs an SDHC adapter and it will work the way it should.

Please someone give me suggestions to my problem:

My 910 has Navcore 8 and the v8 map installed. It runs kind of slow.

The major problem is I can't get the unit to connect to the computer.
It does ask me if I want to connect I say yes and it loads the splash screen and it holds there!

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I created a POI category and put some POIs in there, with a phone number for each one of them. When I chose navigate to a POI, I used to be able to see the phone number of the POI I want to go to, before pressing "select" button. Now, with Nav8, I don;t see the phone number no more. Is there a set up or something to show the phone number? Or, am I missing a file?

I now have the 720 working fine with everything including map share on the V.7 Aus map. I used 1 + 3 and then the ASR files and voice input works whereas before using the Nav 7 ASR files voice input wouldnt work.

So whats this altitude app and where can I get it

I think you have to use dll library (It's in this thread) copied to your computer to use your tt with tt home.

Hehehe...yeah. Might want to remove mapsettings.cfg and settings.dat, and possibly your personalized background. Matter of fact, make your personal backup, then reset the device to factory settings, and share /that/ backup, to make sure. (There's still a certain 5**.**** map out there showing my home location :hehe: )

I don't really have a problem with those 2 icons. The matter is that they are just blank without a picture. But actually when I use them, everything is oK.

After I select language, it freezes, when I plug it in docking station it will ask for pc connection (yes or no) when pres yes nothing happens and it freezes.
How can correct this problem?

I tried part 1 + part 3 but I had the same problem (it become too slow), now I'm using another combination on my TT One V2 that works fine enough (but it is not possible to change the voice)

Svedba I know not what you do, this is not a SE Version, not a x20 or x30 Emu. You can with this of course not have any Feature.

Anyone has a newer TTsystem emux30 for x10 with no slow sound?

I found all the files and you don't have to give me a headshot.
I'have choosen the emu20 version, 1 +2, to avoid slowing down the system.

No, it's not working with TTS. I use the voices of the TT1. I think TT1 doesn't work with TTS. But I never tried, don't know how to. :???:

Everything seems fine here with Navcore SE 8.002.9117 (Go710, options 1 + 5) but also wanted to update my bootloader. I copied the system file to the root of the SD, and when I reset it's still at 4.8600. Any suggestions?
