View Full Version : SE Navcore SE 8.002.9117 for old Devices
........each time when I want to type destination face Tomtom does reset. I have tested everything possible as be on that side and I would have that new version
Look in this thread (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=248891) or just make a empty file in your map folder called cspeech_SVE.dat. if you DON`T use TTS and the other "extras" just use the original version without the extras.
Everything seems fine here with Navcore SE 8.002.9117 (Go710, options 1 + 5) but also wanted to update my bootloader. I copied the system file to the root of the SD, and when I reset it's still at 4.8600. Any suggestions?
Why are everybody upgrading their bootloader?
Navcore is general but the bootcore(found in the file just called SYSTEM) is not general. Fiddling with the bootloader is what can brick your device.

You have possible copy out your Flashcontent on a old state. Use again the little ttn with a v7 and you have the correct infos.
- where can I find the two picture for the 2 icons which are just blank to input the address using my speech recognition ?
- how do I get the boot 5.5010 because right now after the all manipulation and a reset my boot version still being 5.4201 ?The 2 Pictures are missing on all 700 and no one has found a Solution.
BL can you easy update, you need only to copy the system file to root and by next boot update the tt itself alone. the file is inside complete .cab or renamed to system1 in basicpack
Svedba, now looks the Pictures ok, and for the freeze can you here over 1001 Sites read what you can do.
Dignitas 3rd May 2008, 17:48 now i`ve got a working one xl with nav 8, all runs great :excited:
so my question is, do i get now tmc-pro traffic-information or still only tmc information?
tt one xl official supports only tmc.

I have installed Navcore 8 on my Tomtom One (original with Western Europe 7.15 map) and all is well except for the fact I appear to have lost all my favourites and even when I try to paste in a 'mapsettings' file from a previous backup they remain elusive.

Sorry, for my english.
You know I can connect my Motorola A1000 phone with TTG710 with new Navcore ?
TTG710 can connect A1000 for wireless connection but not for handfree. It's strange 'cause A1000 BT work with his hearset, maybe the problem is on which channel it's using by TTG710 for the handfree connection.
Can you help me ? Which is the file for BT connection ? You thinks is possible to change some parameters for trying to connect ?
NLBears 4th May 2008, 14:08 Dear all,
works well but not GPSfix).
As far as I'm informed, the GPSFix is nothing more the a QUICK fix,
this file contains information like a "train time table", in other words,
it tells the TT where the SAT's are at a certain time at a certain location albove us. So the TT need to sync to a few SAT's to get started..............
Put the TomTom before leaving the house, while on, on the deck or out of the window for 3 or 4 minutes !
Because TT (and other) have a problem to SYNC while driving, running or cycling ;-)
So................. don't worry abouth it if you can not downloaded it.
If I'm wrong..................:sorry::oops2:
Have a smile and a Coke..........with your TT !

(When I try to dowload anything else like a new voice directly by using my TTGO700 via TTHome it works well but not GPSfix).
I had the same problem. Then I installed an old version of QGPS-fix via Home, because I had them all stored on my harddrive. Then I switched the TT off, disconnected, reconnect and switch on. Home started to search for updates, and then it said my QGPS-fix was too old (duhuh) and a new one showed up in the update list. Since then everything is working fine.
(To find old versions of QGPS: In Home -> Add Maps, Traffic Info -> items on my PC (=last page) -> select just a QGPS -> add)

The Hide lane images option in preferences menu is replaced with the compass settings. tried a demo and the Lane assistent is definitly not there. Please, anyone tried this.
I've tried the option 1+2 because 1+3 would slow down after a while, although the new features were eorking fine (Lane + IQ)

GilbertQC 4th May 2008, 23:50 I have a ONE XL-S and tried to get it working. I succeeded to get the NA map and navigate but can't get TTS to work. Here is what I tried:
1- basepack, x30 emulation, added the outsource.bin folder deleted the LoquendoTTS and replaced with the base plus the English available plus the French Juliette v7 cab file imported from TT. When I tried to test the voice, there was no sound. I went to see if the POI warning sound could be heard and went to change and test and it worked. I changed my language from French to English and went to download Kate (computer British voice) hoping doing so could get the right files installed, tried to test it and no sound out of speaker. Tried to change the language to French and redownload Juliette (French computer voice) and tried to test it and no sound. I went back and deleted the outsouce.bin rebooted and same result.
2- Basepack, x20 emulation, added the outsource.bin folder and retried for navigation and everything worked but the TTS.
3- Redid above 1, deleted the LoquendoTTS folder and replaced with my backup of the internal memory LoquendoTTS folder that worked fine before. Still no sound.
4- Tried again with above 2 (original internal memory LoquendoTTS) and still no sound.
5- Tried with my SD card backup of working LoquendoTTS with large voice and above option 1 and still no sound. Copied the Loquendo v7 bin file to the LoquendoTTS folder to see if it would make a difference and still no sound.
6- Tried with an original navcore_8.002.9117.gox30.cab extracting only its ttsystem and system with identical result for the voice output.
All of my tests were done with resets between changes. I did NOT have the «poweroff» zero byte file in the root. When changing computer voice, it often rebooted as if it hanged and when rebooting it often seemed to hang but rebooted right after a reset. I get the impression some important files are missing as some seem to have been successful.
I stopped my tests and reverted back to my backup made just before testing and it works as it should.
Since, I found out someone had made available a new working LoquendoTTS with British voice that I imported and found many more files than what I had installed.
Did anyone succeed to make TTS work on the XL or XL-S?

As far as I know, CSpeech_XX.dat files are for voice recognition and must be present to navigate under v8 x30 because it could be used for inputing navigation addresses vocally which is a feature for the x30. I have added those from my v7.15 NA map. Of course, I could not really use them as the XL-S does not have a microphone.
Just a quick report to say that todays updated ttsystem file with switchfiles works well on the following setup:-
TomTom V1 "Classic" with Western and Central Europe V8.00.1766 map and no TTS enabled. Multiple null length cspeech files were used for map to avoid "freezing" issue. It all fits easily on a 2Gb SD card.
Advance Lane Guidance also works well on this device. Typically 6.3 Mb free is displayed. No issues found so far.
TT Home emulation with dll patch also works with the above.
Many thanks mainly to TTuser for the great work. :thanks:
TTuser 5th May 2008, 02:00 Yes, i think 2 is better as 6. Its all equal, except the Features can now individually enabled or disabled.

FMon = FMTransmitter on (if it should, how previous Versions, not alone recognizes FM-Mount)
poweroff = Device switch real complete off, not only sleep

Here's my working TTS folder from an x10 ( Kate GB )
http://www.anonym.to/?http://rapidshare.com/files/112314557/My_UK_LoquendoTTS.rar
Here's what I did next ....
I copied the Juliette TTS files into LoquendoTTS on card EXCEPT
LoqTTS6.so, loqMSX.so (lib directory)
default.session, LicenseCode (LoquendoTTS directory)
working versions already installed you see.
Try This - http://rapidshare.com/files/112660358/Juliette_6.5.3.rar
Fired up my 710, selected Juiliette from Voices, Garbled noise......
Selected French from Prefs:Languages THEN chose Juliette - SUCCESS, Navigation in French
I am assuming the same for all other languages.
Download the TTS voice you want, copy & paste all but the above named files, select appropriate language on unit then select the voice....
Not sure on the cspeech files....I only have GBR & IRL installed and French voice worked fine off TEST button but that's a std phrase. Maybe the cspeech are for forming words when reading addresses, messages, etc, etc.. so you probably need the appropriate cspeech file in you map folder too....
best of luck & let us know what worx

It would appear TTS does not currenly work for v8 on TTone, unless someone can say different & how...
Started from v7.221 with v715 UKIE map with TTS working - KateGB voice.
Copied working map & Loquendo files to v8x30emu_not_x10 loaded SD card - nada
I've used 1+3 & several other combo's, nada!
The above TTS files should work on any xx0 device tho'.
My 710 & 520 TTS works perfect with v8.002 & v800 map (W&CE with TTS).
My One v3 remains back on 7.221 for the time being.
Oh Well......

timmermans 6th May 2008, 02:41 Hello, i have a GO..10 and seem not to get the speach recognition to work(Voice Input*).:forsaken: TTS dutch saskia is working. :ashamed:I have done everything but this will not work.
In nacore 7 I could talk to my tomtom, it did work.
I do put the ....dat files in the map (BEL) for belgium still not working. Do these ...dat files also need to be put in the ASR map ??
Please guys help me out.

Your help is already apriciated. :suicide:Timmermans
TTuser 6th May 2008, 03:08 We need the Fix! Please! :urtheman:Or you drive to TT and say the TT Programer they should please again add initialization for Remote.
You need the exactly right cspeech file, it works not with a random somewhere found. strange, one cspeech works with the Western_and_Central_Europe_800.1766 and same file works with Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB 800.1766 not.
timmermans 6th May 2008, 10:37 Hello, which cspeech files are you using please ?
I have a GO710 and don't get it to work (belgium) dutch files I need also.
Thanks Bart :good2:
marcogancio 6th May 2008, 11:37 I've found another little bug after connecting the unit on TTHome and using the feature "Operate my Go":
The compass icon under preferences disappears after clicking on "operating my Go". By the way the little compass icon on the main screen remains there but I have no facilities to configure it.
The other bugs after using the feature "Operate my Go" that I have found are:
1) The computer voice selected before connecting the unit is not recognized (and I need to re-select this voice after rebooting the 910).
2) The shortcuts menu on the main screen is resetted to the standard four icons every time I use the "Operate my Go".
A cracked dll bug, I suppose.
TTuser 6th May 2008, 16:03 NO, all complete original navcore bugs and all TT own fault, happens also with a complete original Version and also with older (7.48). TT need to fix it.
The cspeech from here works for me, only not for the 2GB Map.
http://tomtom.com/updates/ASR_Western_Europe_v8.zip
marcogancio 6th May 2008, 22:11 OK, TTuser, tnx for the reply.
TT forgot to fix this issue also in the latest TTHome version (2_3_1_92) posted today.
I think that the better solution, right now, is to avoid the "operate my device" feature in TTHome.
Tnx again.
ricky1966 6th May 2008, 23:14 Hi everybody. I've a TTG 710 and a TTG 300. for 710 all work finem map 8, lane, tts, britheness.

monk33 6th May 2008, 23:57 Original Name: navcore_8.002.9117.gox30
Original for Device: x30
Why this Version: first known "working" Version with almost all Features for other Devices
Features: V7 Maps, Pretty new Menu Style, Caricon*, Quickacessbutton, Helpme*, MP3, TTS-Voices*, Mapshare, Voice Input*, ....
Known Errors: old Remote dead
* You need additional Files to use this Features.
Delete all old Files, Folders from previous Version. If you not use TTS or Voice Input keep save you have not the ASR or LoquendoTTS Folder to save RAM, because i add a Function which delete the Files for this Function from RAM if the Folders not exist. Same for Audiobooks.
Best choice, do a long Reset before you first time boot the new Version. Poor Devices (one,gox00) need cspeech Files in Mapfolder or it freeze.
Please report exactly what work, what not, with which ttsystem(3,5) Device.

snowbossy 7th May 2008, 00:35 i had the navcore 8 installed for a few days and here are my findings...
On my 910 i installed 1 and 5 and used my original loquendo map toghether with western and central europe complete with cspeech files (map downloaded somewhere else).
I had to use the original loquendo because with the new small one the voice keeps hanging.
The voice input for adresses is working most of the times, some times it jammed my tomtom and he automaticly resets himself.
When i play mp3 at the same time i'm navigating my tomtom jams after a while (half hour) and resets himself...
And the remote isn't working, i know it's normal but it is a shame, i love it and its the main reason i returned to the original tomtom navcore 7.
@TTuser: it's a great thing you're doing here, now we see if Tomtom wanted whe easilly could have all the newer functions. They just rather have us buy everytime a new tomtom and make more profit out of us. No need for happy customers...
The 910 is still the best with his 20gig hd.
Sorry for the bad writing, i'm a Dutch speaking Belgian...
alequinta 7th May 2008, 03:27 I've read all pages but I didn't yet understand if navcore 8 can be installed into a One v2, and if yes, which are the files I have to download..

cycmag2282 7th May 2008, 05:33 Alright, I'm just ignorant. I've read through about the first 30 and last 10 of these pages of post but STILL can't figure out which ones I need to download for a 910. When it says for x10, mine is clearly not an x10, right? But then I see some other post say they used 1+5+8 which from the initial post, "You need to download: 1. + 3. for all Devices except gox10; 5. for gox10+ 8. for Voice Input," it seems like i should want 1+3 and not 1+5. Can someone explain the terminology for me? Thank you!

Hi Cycmag
I think I know why you are getting confused.....
x10 = 510, or 710, or 910
Now, you should be able to fill in the rest.
ajsbonnevile 7th May 2008, 08:48 I've found another little bug after connecting the unit on TTHome and using the feature "Operate my Go":
The compass icon under preferences disappears after clicking on "operating my Go". By the way the little compass icon on the main screen remains there but I have no facilities to configure it.
The other bugs after using the feature "Operate my Go" that I have found are:
1) The computer voice selected before connecting the unit is not recognized (and I need to re-select this voice after rebooting the 910).
2) The shortcuts menu on the main screen is resetted to the standard four icons every time I use the "Operate my Go".
A cracked dll bug, I suppose.
I think you will find that your TTS files are V.6 and when upgraded to V.7, free download from home 2.3.0.7 that you will have no more problems with the voice not being recognised.
It seems that Nav8, whilst able to work with the TTs voices from the original V.7 etc will say that they dont and then show up your problem.
Cheers

Just a little update about these bugs.
The compass issue is not directly related to the Navcore8 but to the combination of the navcore8 and a v8 map.
Effectively if I load a v7 map on my 910 with navcore8 the compass icon appears again...... with the WACE 8 map loaded disappears....

I can say the same on my go910, exactly, with or without outsource.bin folder, the new voices and the new map eat too much of our old hardware, the best way is old v6 voices and for autoresert :afraid:....................nothing to do... :forsaken:
And it seems that for long time tt will not make a v8 version for old devices, with new WACE 720.......:grrr:

ricky1966 8th May 2008, 10:12 yDdraigGoch ok, I've downloaded 1+3+8 and I've also a map 8.0 and 7.15.
On new version of 3 there are 2 folder, outsourced.bin and Switchfiles, but on the second the files seems empty. Another question, can you tell me how many files on your sd for ttg300 ?
I.ve the 8.002.9117 and the v800 map and everything works including lane guidance , but I,ve got still problems with tomtom home: the message
""wrong application "" when I use the back button he,s going to search for update,s but the only thing he got,s is the Quick fix no Mapshare .
I,ve used the dll patcher and he says everything is ok.
Anyone an idea why I can,t get any Mapshare downloads.
Thankx.:prayer:

Mapshare server its again down, its not your fault.
I don,t think the server is down since a week , I ve got some Mapshare downloads on my North America map v710 but nothing on my Western and Central Europe map v800 , when I look in Mapshare preferences I see also only the America map, the same when I look what,s on my 920 in ""Maps"""
I only see America .The strange thing is when I use the 920 via tomtom home
the map is there and I can use the map browser , but when I push on ""show what,s on my tomtom "" , there,s no Western and Central Europe.
strange:suicide:
fdelahuz 8th May 2008, 19:10 Just in case this is your ploblem...
Check that the folder that has all the map files inside is under the root of your TT and not inside another folder as a subfolder, because if so you can use it with Home Emulator but can´t see it with "show whats on my TomTom"
It worked for me. As soon as placed on root started to get Mapshare
yDdraigGoch 8th May 2008, 20:40 yDdraigGoch ok, I've downloaded 1+3+8 and I've also a map 8.0 and 7.15.

OK. If you have 1+3+8, copy all the files to your SD card. Ignore switchfiles for now. Copy your map across ( either will do so long as you have created a mete.dct file for it ). May need to keygen the ttsystem file too. Power On. If you have done same as for 710 but used 1+3+8, it should work ok.
You can copy art, helpme & TTS over now.
ricky1966 8th May 2008, 23:04 Tks yDdraigGoch I try and later I report you...
jschoorl 8th May 2008, 23:24 ok for my 720 great job thx
Did you install it on a separate card or on the internal card.
I have an external 1GB card it start up and ask then for the map. Haven't a small map so wan't to install it on the internal card.
When I install it on the internal card it freezes during startup.
Any suggestions ?

A simple yes will suffice, I think. Friendlier too!
alequinta, try going to page 1 of this thread and......
Download 1+3+8
Download a v800 map
Follow instructions to install
Your One will work with navcore 8
TTS is not fully functioning on this model yet.....
yDdraigGoch 9th May 2008, 00:26 hi to everybody

I beg you to help me, thanks
I don't think you have read all available pages as this topic has covered a heck of a lot of ground recently. Regardless, I can say that some minor success has been had with One v1, but as yet One v2 (aka 3rd Edition) and v4 and XL models do not have TTS output except possibly using bluetooth out option from speaker preference menu.
I dare say TTUser will have an offering soon, but for now I recommend using v8 with all but TTS or downgrade to v7.221 navcore and v715 else ( soooooon ) v720 maps with TTS - these will work fine.
hope that helps you.
regards

which model One do you have?
what map and map version are you using?
did you load 1+3 ot 1+5? 1+3 is correct for you.
Other users have experienced crashing on various models, especially with Address input. usually freezing or multiple reboots. my One 3rd Edition ( sometimes called v2 ) works fine except for no TTS....

U need to put cspeech* files (of countries where u navigate to) into map folder, that's all.
For example, if u navigate to an address in Great Britain it is necessary to have a file into map folder with the name "cspeech_GBR.dat", u can create yourself an empty file with that name or download the real file
yDdraigGoch 10th May 2008, 00:52 U need to put cspeech* files (of countries where u navigate to) into map folder, that's all.
Thanx, falafel. You reminded me where I read this.
To get the older maps (v7xx) working on a One v2 with Navcore 8, I had to create dummy cspeech-files as well. Some are obvious, but here is a little list:
Australia - cspeech_AUS.dat
New Zealand - cspeech_NZL.dat
Canary Islands - cspeech_ESP.dat
Benelux - cspeech_BEL.dat, cspeech_NLD.dat, cspeech_LUX.dat
(just empty text-files which have been renamed)
If you have v7xx maps, maybe see this thread for more details

Will run v7xx maps including latest v720 W&C Europe from Dariusz1

3 is system for most devices except x10 series ( 510, 710, 910 )
5 is system for x10 series
8 is Speech Recognition files for all, if required
you ned to put files from 1 & 3 on your unit, at least.
Plus a map
anything else I can do, ask away.
If I'm too slow or busy, someone else will advise.....
I think the navcore you used is the original x30 series navcore for x30 devices.... not patched, modded or otherwise ....hence not working. Give the above a go & it should be ok. download 1 & 3 & 8. unpack all & copy/paste files to card.
woodburner 10th May 2008, 03:25 Try navcore v7.221 ( looks like x20, not so far from x30) http://rapidshare.com/files/113481235/navcore_SE_7.221.8572.rar
Will run v7xx maps including latest v720 W&C Europe from Dariusz1

What unit/device, by the way?
Thanks for the reply.
I am using an original Tomtom One and so far your suggestion seems to work a treat.
Jidowacker 10th May 2008, 12:46 THANKS TTUSER !!! My go910 is now fully updated and working :)
Just in case, here is what I did:
1) downloaded the package "new Full working Backup - Include all you can need" from the first post.
2) Made a new directory "navcore7" on the go910 root directory, and moved all the original files in it (for backup).
3) unpacked all files from 1) above into the clean root directory of the go910
4) reboot & wait (system will reboot a couple times, I think, creating the Flash directory and maybe others?....)
5) Apparently system was not capable to boot all the way through, so connected to PC again, and confirmed the directory "Flash" has been created.
6) Deleted everything except the Flash directory (and the backup "Navcore7" directory)
7) unpacked again all files from 1) above into the root directory of the go910
8) I moved a ver7.15 map (Western Europe) from the backup directory to the root
9) reboot.... and magic! works!!
Note: step 8 may not be necessary, as system found all my older maps present in the backup director "navcore7" that I had made).
Cheers & thanks !!!!
moley85 10th May 2008, 12:52 hey, im real stuck on this, i have a go 520 and trying to put the navcore 8 files on the tomtom but not having any success, im probably been real bone but is there an idiots guide out and about to put it on the 520?

gooooo 10th May 2008, 14:40 Testes on a One V4
It's work but I'm think that the processor of the One is not enouh powerful for the nav 8
So I keep the V7 for the moment. Maybe a new version will come for the One.
niklos 10th May 2008, 16:57 Installed full backup on 910, everything works great.
Only the remote control is not recognize, it is not a surprise :). I there a way to use a phone to operate as a remote ? Or do I have to buy the new bluetooth remote control ?

5. gox10 with Display or slow Sound Problem (http://rapidshare.com/files/112604219/SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.gox10.rar)
8. ASR Folder for Voice Input (http://rapidshare.com/files/106728143/ASR.rar)
You need now the for V8 dlls adapted "EasyuseTool" Version. (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1860229&postcount=1505)
Patched Homedll (http://rapidshare.com/files/106310017/Home_navcore_dll_80029117.rar)

In short, for your device:
download 1
download 3
download 8
Extract all files and copy to SD card
This will give you a basic system running version 8 navcore.
Search for v715, 720 or 800 maps, Benelux, Europe, whichever......and follow instructions to copy and activate
download patched Homedll ( to permit updating, mapshare, etc.. )
if im correct the tts is not working on mine tt?

Lane Assistant is for v800 maps upwards, so you need v800 Europe on a 2Gb SD card at least, for this feature.

Don't shoot the translator, I'm only translating.
I hope there is somebody around who's able to translate this for me.
I have Navcore SE 8.xxx installed together with v800 maps, and everything runs fine, I only have a problem with the TMC.
As soon as I connect the RDS-TMC-receiver, I get the message that it is connected, but unfortunately it does not find a station. It starts immediately with the download symbol, but it does not receive anything.
Is there a solution for this?
It's all about the 910, with a 710 it should be possible.
wowknight 11th May 2008, 00:08 Everything is working 100% Perfect. The only thing is that MP3's dont work on my TT, someone got a solution?

gsmjbond 11th May 2008, 00:20 Hi There,
My first message to the forum
First of all. Great job!! TTuser.
It's amazing. How do you manage to get rid of all this stuff?
I've read the messages (there are a lot of them).
My TT910 is working prefectly. Everything works Ok.
But no way with TTHome. May be I've missed some messages but It's not working for me.
Every time I try to patch the .dll files I get the message "can't find".
I'm running the patcher on the same drive were I have TTHome installed. My version is the latest 2.3.
Also I didn't find any message saying clearly where the dll files are supposed to be.
On my version the file 8-002-9117-1.dll was not there and I put it in "C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\plugins". Now it seems to be trying to do something but doesn't work. The maps v8 are not recognized by my TT.
What I am missing?
Can somebody say in detail where the dll files have to be copied and which ones have to be patched?
Can anyone post the files already patched?
Best Regards
PS: When I say that TomTomHome doesn't recognize my v8 map is that when I select the map it shows the error saying that the map has a wrong activation code.

golfinhoazul 11th May 2008, 03:34 I did almost the same thing as Jidowacker on my GO910 were I had older Navcore7 installed:
I used the following steps with sucess:
1) Downloaded the package "new Full working Backup - Include all you can need" from the first post.
2) Made a new directory "navcore7" on the go910 root directory, and moved all the original files in it.
3) unpacked all files from 1) above into the clean root directory of the go910
4) reboot & wait (system will reboot a couple times), don't be alarmed that it reboots several times. It will eventually start on the map selection screen.
5) After that I could choose a map that was on the backup navcore7 folder, because it detected them.
6) Installed the Western_and_Central_Europe_800-1766 series map with cspeech files, copied all the files needed from the navcore7 folder to the current root directory never replacing files with the same name.
7) Reboot and worked without any problems until now, I did a 6 hour journey without any problems that I could find.
Good luck to all the other GO910 users!

just a hard reset just that ,once rebooting you will get the icon in the menu !!!
lessram 12th May 2008, 03:18 Thank you for your help, giving the hint to use the dummy speech files. It indeed was the solution.
One "problem" left; the icons for the speech items are missing.
In Example: when I select "Navigate To" there are the options "City Centre", "Street and House Number" and some others. Also "Spoken Adress" and 'Spoken address (dialogue)". There are no icons for these options (just white squares).
Also Example: When I "Navigate to" "Street and House Number" the button between the spacebar and the "back"-button contains a white square. Assumingly this button also has to do with TTS.
Is there a way to get the right icons there ??
(Tried Resetting by using On/Off button + paperclip in Reset hole, but didn't help here)

bruxelles5 12th May 2008, 03:58 Big thanks to TTUSER
everything is working fine except the "Manage your TomTom" using TomTom Home
I have of course the patched DLL : http://rapidshare.com/files/106310017/Home_navcore_dll_80029117.rar
But I get the message that the Map (Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_800_1766) not activate ?
but my TomTom (ONE V1) is working fine with this MAP
EDIT: work ok now, I was having the wrong DLL

lessram 12th May 2008, 11:24 About "speech icons" on TTOne
Long question short answere --- No no way for the TT-One V2
I understand TTSpeech will never work on the One. But did not expect that the icons wouldn't show at all, not even as greyed-out icons. There're just empty white squares. Other options which are in the NavCore but aren't supported by TT-One, still have their, greyed-out, icons.
mcgyver83 12th May 2008, 11:29 Complete from User "edel_hert" created working onexl Backup (include old SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.NO.TTS.not.gox10.emux30)
new Full working Backup "Include all you can need" (Include ASR, LoquendoTTS for x20,x30 Voices, Raster Europe, Helpme, Art/Cars, Zipcode NL,GB , few StandardVoices, etc., 5. ttsystem for gox10
Minimal working Backup "Include only all for a working TT" Without all additional Files (Helpme, zip, Art..) 3. ttsystem
But the second item (Include all you can need) can be used on xl?
Or better, for having all features of x30 that can be run on xl I have to download only 1° and 3° or what also?

OK.
bruxelles5 13th May 2008, 01:13 Hello there
I have set Navcore 8 and WE+Central V8 on a ONE XL (I take the backup from an XL in the first page of this post)
I'm wondering why the XL keep rebooting?
First let me said that I get all (navcore + map) in a 2GB SD card.
I did leave all original XL files and map into the device.
It is best to have all new files v8 + map v8 into the device instead of SD card?
Do i need to remove or add some files ?
thanks guy for your help
CoolTom 13th May 2008, 08:04 I created a POI category and put some POIs in there, with a phone number for each one of them. When I chose navigate to a POI, I used to be able to see the phone number of the POI I want to go to, before pressing "select" button. Now, with Nav8, I don;t see the phone number no more. Is there a set up or something to show the phone number? Or, am I missing a file?
I have the same issue on my TT1 2ed and nav8. Phone number does not show up with either "custom" POI categories that I have created or even those in "stock" POI that come with the maps...
Anybody have any ideas?

Contrary to some, the TTV.1 will work with Computer voices, in fact MP3, Photos, Text works as well but no input as no microphone.
There is a need to use the Zibri crack together with TTuser hack of the V.7 maps. A search of these forums will find that information but it is a fair way back.

ajsbonnevile 13th May 2008, 10:12 Hello , no input voices with navcore 8 and W.E v8 map on my Go700 .I don't understands it works fine with nav 7.221 and V7.10 map ...
All work except input voice why ?
is there anyone with Go700 that work's with input voice ?
Thanks for your help
If you go back to the start of this forum you will find TTusers information and the ASR files that need to be downloaded. I found that the ASR files from V.7 didnt allow for voice input even though the icons etc where there, so suggest download the files and it should work ok.

ajsbonnevile 13th May 2008, 10:17 Hello there
I have set Navcore 8 and WE+Central V8 on a ONE XL (I take the backup from an XL in the first page of this post)
Might I suggest that you load the required files onto your XL and not the SD card. Make sure you do a long reset. Leave your map on the SD card and your XL will find it.
However I am mindful of the fact that TTuser is the expert here and will give you the correct information if mine does not work, but it should.

Anyone any idea how to fix this?

Charly2007 14th May 2008, 01:45 Is there also such a clear and easy procedure for my Go510 (or a Go710) ??
Yes, there is. Here you are:
Before you start, it's highly recommendable to do a clean start and format your SD memory card.
1 - Install Complete Original Navcore 8
http://rapidshare.com/files/106340615/navcore_8.002.9117.gox30.cab
and delete ASR folder. (Do a long reset after installing the Navcore)
2 - Install this ttsystem:
http://rapidshare.com/files/106309381/SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.for.gox10.emux30.rar
3 - Install LoquendoTTS, overwritting the one that comes on Navcore
4 - Install Maps you like. and that's it
Hope you find this clear enough, mate!
Cheers

Installing original navcore, the bootloader will be updated, and it isn't possible to downgrade anymore, seems the new version works fine, but it isn't necessary install the original and update the bootloader, if you have your device in warranty you'll can loose it, with basic pack and the ttsystem works with last original bootloader for x10, is our choice..........

PAVOT 14th May 2008, 12:45 @Bruxelles5
Tomtom has provided the voice recognition address only 9 countries card version 8xx. But you can complete the 10 missing by downloading Cspeech for the card version 8xx. You'll find including voice recognition for Belgium. :excited:
You will find it here (http://tomtom.com/updates/ASR_Western_Europe.zip) ! ;)

Hi, ex300s!
First of all, thanks for giving us those explanations which I didn't know, but let me ask you about a couple of things:
1 - What would be the point of downgrading? Aren't we suppossed to upgrade instead of the other way round? Especially since this Navcore has proved to be so much more convenient (specially for x10 devices) than the previous ones?
2 - Considering that my guarantee expired quite long ago, I wouldn't worry much about losing it. Nevertheless, this would be something to be taken into account for those who have their devices still on guarantee.
However, I very much appreciate your comments about this matter, which I found quite interesting. Thanks again for that.
My regards to dey, maiguelon, inaciopas, dobry, and all the gang, je,je,je. and expecting to see you soon around the "corner" :good2:
ex300s 14th May 2008, 15:56 http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=252573
Seems that are working fine new versions but updating with other devices bootloaders it have a risk and downgrade isn't possible before, the bootloader is in the file "system", other files from original 8 can be installed without problems

3sila 14th May 2008, 21:13 7.221 is the MOST stable out of all cracked version, i tried so many flavors v8.002 for go510, either i will get freezing screen, no TTS, slow voice as noted in the 1st post, or constant reboot after you discounect the device from the power (cigaret or cradle) or by pressing power down. drains out the battery.
so far v7.221 has all the future expect iq and route. but its still solid.
great job on v7.221 TTuser. and once v8 is stable enough then i will switch.
So far this NavCore seems to be doable, with slow tts or mp3. NO reboot thou. and no noFlash or Flash or outsourc....

Is it normal?
Thanks
senaja 15th May 2008, 00:31 I have got the old version of TomTom One. I have installed Navcore 8 but when I try to navigate to a foreign country, the system shuts down completely and then turns on all by itself. Navigating nationally is not a problem.

Many thanks
Zebra92 15th May 2008, 01:07 Hello all,
I have tried today to add new MP3 on my GO 910 with the Bluetooth facility which was perfectly working in V7 and in V8 transfer sarts but aborts after a short while..... I hav'nt succeeded to transfer one MP3 to my GO 910.
I know that I can use the USB port to make the file transfer but it was funny to be able to transfer without stopping the TTGO 910.....
Does anyone try this facility in V8?
Is there a solution to make it working?
An other issue, to reduce the volume I was using the remote control. In V8 I am obliged to slide my finger on the screen to reduce or rise the volume but I notice that the volume nob appears only few secondes on the screen and I missed the posibility to adjuste the volume.... So it is very difficult to adjust while driving, this is due to the fact that navigation vocal instructions are laouder than MP3 playing, so when I listen to MP3 and a navigational vocal instruction is pronouced I am obliged to reduce the volume and I can't do it while driving....
Is there a chance to be able to re-use the RF remote control?
I buy a new Telephone a K750i from SONY ERICSSON and the freehands calling works perfectly but the bluetooth connection is unstable: connections and disconnections are very frequent. When I use a separated handsfree hear piece the Bluetooth connection is stable. This was not the case with my previous T630 phone... Is it a known issue?
Thank in advance for any help.
jjcoolj 15th May 2008, 01:28 TTUSER!! Thanks a lot for your help!
I got TT720 and followed what you mentioned for TT720, and it is working perfectly.
Everything including Mp3, Auto light change for day and night, Voice recognition, and so on is working without hassle!
I followed this direction-->for x20:
Copy all from (Original) navcore_8.002.9117.gox30.cab to Storage
replace ttsystem with the ttsystem.8.002.9117.only.for.x20.to.emux30
Also, I downloaded two fileds, only for x20 to Emu. x30 and original Version.
I patched v805 map with tt7 keygen with meta.txt I made and moved map folder into TT.
Perfect instruction and hope all users of TT720 can use this map version!!!!

you need this : cspeech files
put it into your map, there is one cspeech for each country (almost all)

Easy question=Easy answer:
If you're using a v.8 map and wanna see it in yout device, you must install Navcore 8.
However, if you ask me, I would recommend Western & Central Europe v.8
It's much more "reliable" than the Iberia v.8 map. It's my point of view, anyway.

That is the main reason i switched back to v7.221
try to create "poweroff" file using notepad in the root of the sd card and see if that helps, if not we just have to wait for TTuser to tweak the TTsystem.

Harry_C 16th May 2008, 03:38 Hello everyone,
Is it possible to revert back to Nav7 after an upgrade to Nav8 on a GO910 (following scrupulously TTuser's step by step procedure described in this forum), or is it a one way process.
Did anyone actually try it and is there a special precaution someone has to take beside backup.
Also can someone give a final answer about the remote… does it or doesn’t it work on a GO910 after the move to Nav8.
As always this forum is very instructive and thanks a lot for the effort. Keep up the good work TTuser!!

Reversible using basic pack or working backup for x10

Since 7.48 and in the future the old remote control will not work anymore, maybe the new for x20,x30......
yDdraigGoch 16th May 2008, 09:57 Going to triple post this.
Apols if you read it again elsewhere.
I am aware that some members are listing maps as NoTTs & TTS versions.
These maps are TTS capable.
They are actually ASR and NoASR versions, due to omition or provision of working cspeech_xxx files in the map folder.
TTS = device dictates to you, tells you stuff, LoqundoTTS required.
ASR = you dictate to device, you tell it stuff, ASR & cspeech_xxx required.
Can we maybe try and adopt this standard, as it is correct.
Tell someone it's a TTS map, they'll install Loquendo...
Or am I too logical for this forum?

I couldn't agree with you more !
Despite numerous searches, downloads, tests, ... I simply can't get ASR working properly on my GO700 with 7.22 firmware. I don't want to upgrade to V8 yet because I love my "old" remote too much...
During my search for a solution, I managed to get hold of 2 different sets of CSPEECH files: both are 19 files but one is 250Mb and dated 28-12-2007 while the other set was downloaded from the TomTom site as "ASR_Western_Europe_v8.zip" with 221Mb and a date of 29-01-2008.
There is also conflicting messages on the forum about wether the ASR folder should just reside in the root or also as a subfolder of the "Western_Europe" map.
The symptoms I'm getting are well known:
Blank icon for voice input
Voice input works for city & street but "approving" the street freezes the unit
20 secs after the freeze the Go700 reboots and all is well again afterwards
Anybody has some hints & tips for me to try (with a V7 firmware) ? I did not yet test with the V7.20 maps, will try to get those over the weekend.

I hope someone can answer your question, because i get the same trouble.
I have a ONE V1 (I can't speak to my ONE because there is no microphone)
So when I see the BLANK (white) icon, I was thinking this is because I don't have a tomtom with a MIC
But my friend who get the GO700 (like yours) with a Microphone.
Still get the Blank icon (white) this is the icon you touch if you want to speak to your tomtom and tell him where to go.
we both have the "navcore_SE_8.002.9117_basicpack.rar" with a "Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_800_1766"
I enclose here the Printscreen with the missing icon
And same as you : where to put the ASR file in a separate ASR folder in ROOT
or in the MAP ?
Thanks guys if you can help
My_Download 16th May 2008, 15:53 Hi
I have exactly the same problem
Baramine, Rytel,
As TTUSERS points out in the very first post of this thread, the "OLD" (non bluetooth) remote control (GO700, GO910) does not work with the patched version of the V8 firmware.
It does work with firmware V7.22 (which is why I'd like to get speech input working on that version).
Original Name: navcore_8.002.9117.gox30
Original for Device: x30
Why this Version: first known "working" Version with almost all Features for other Devices
Features: V7 Maps, Pretty new Menu Style, Caricon*, Quickacessbutton, Helpme*, MP3, TTS-Voices*, Mapshare, Voice Input*, ....
Known Errors: old Remote dead; no TTS, MP3 on ONE´s (xl); white VoiceInput-Buttons by gox00; Poor Devices (one,gox00) need cspeech Files in Mapfolder or it freeze.
* You need additional Files to use this Features.
Set after first boot all Settings(over Menubutton) back to Standard.
Please report exactly what work, what not, with which ttsystem(3,5) Device.
WlocH 16th May 2008, 16:38 There is also conflicting messages on the forum about wether the ASR folder should just reside in the root or also as a subfolder of the "Western_Europe" map.
What?! The ASR folder must be only on the root, just the cspeech files have 2 be inside the map 800 folder.
WlocH 16th May 2008, 16:52 I have a ONE V1 (I can't speak to my ONE because there is no microphone)

And u were thinking right.
bruxelles5 16th May 2008, 17:26 And u were thinking right.
yes I was right
But what about the friend (and also "download" the guy from this forum) who have the TomTom GO700 With Mic, he still don't get the icon to show.
It work trough. Mean the icon is not showing (look like a white scare icon)
but if you click on it you still get the next menu and you get to talk to your tomtom GO700. Look at printscreen.
(1= missing icon - 2=when I push Spoken Address missing Icon - 3=when I push Spoken Address (Dialog) missing icon )
bertikr 16th May 2008, 17:53 Sorry, but it doesn´t go. Error is in file ttsystem for Navcore 8.
WlocH 16th May 2008, 18:09 But what about the friend (and also "download" the guy from this forum) who have the TomTom GO700 With Mic, he still don't get the icon to show.
Well, after putting the ASR folder on the root and the cspeech files on the Western and Central Europe 800 map, 4 example, it should work properly.
On my GO 910 all works just fine following the instructions of TTUser so...

Hello again,
While waiting any suggestion or answer, I have one more question.
Since I've updated TTHome with the latest version, I can download mapshare BUT when I try to use my GO700 via TTHome for TTservices like "Weather" for example or to dl voices directly to the GO700, nothing happens : I clic with the mouse on the icon/button BUT nothing happens neither forecast weather, nor error message.
Do you think this is due to the last version of TTHome ?
(in fact, before updating TTHome, it works correctly)
Anyone else with the same problem ?
My_Download 16th May 2008, 18:17 A bit more info on the ASR problems & TomTom GO700:
Running firmware V7.221.8572 and using TTUSER's downloads I can create 2 scenario's:
Using CSPEECH files dated 18-12-2007, voice input occasionally works 100% but in most cases the unit freezes after "speaking" the street name (and reboots some 20 seconds later)
Using CSPEECH files dated 29-01-2008 (downloaded as "ASR_Western_Europe_v8.zip" from TomTom site) the unit does NOT respond to voice input, but you can press the "Return" button and nothing freezes or reboots
Neither of these options are really of any use.
Somewhere is the first pages of this thread there are some users claiming to have ASR working on a GO700 or even GO500. Can anyone confirm this, and tell us what they've done (and for example list file dates & sizes for ASR and CSPEECH) ?
WlocH 16th May 2008, 18:24 It work trough.
Btw as u can see from the first post of TTUser this is a known problem which old ONE navigators have:
Known Errors: old Remote dead; no TTS, MP3 on ONE´s (xl); white VoiceInput-Buttons by Devices without inbuilt MIC.; Poor Devices (one,gox00) need cspeech Files in Mapfolder or it freeze.
NoShomei 16th May 2008, 18:29 Somewhere is the first pages of this thread there are some users claiming to have ASR working on a GO700 or even GO500. Can anyone confirm this, and tell us what they've done (and for example list file dates & sizes for ASR and CSPEECH) ?
Yes, I can.
I have a GO700.
As said previously I have the navcore 8.002.9117, Map WaCE 800, TTS loquendo with french voices and ASR using CSPEECH files dated 29-01-2008 (downloaded as "ASR_Western_Europe_v8.zip)
Everything works great : i can input direction with my voice. My GO700 never freezes.
Concerning this, my "only problem" is the the 2 icons are white. But as TTusers answer before, there is no solution for now on, fir those icons.
What I have done ?
Simply followed the first post step by step :
I have erased everything on my GO700 (not formatted juste erased)
then I have installed 1, 3 and 8 from the first post.
I have then dl CSPEECH files dated 29-01-2008 (downloaded as "ASR_Western_Europe_v8.zip. and installed them to the map folder.
I'm sorry but I don't know what to say to help you.
I don't have done anything else. (quite newbie )
WlocH 16th May 2008, 18:29 A bit more info on the ASR problems & TomTom GO700:

Do u have the ASR folder on the root and the 19 cspeech files into the map folder? If u do so I really dont know why it doesnt work properly on ur GO 700...
bruxelles5 16th May 2008, 18:31 Thanks Wloch in fact I miss this ligne : white VoiceInput-Buttons by Devices without inbuilt MIC
I guess sometime we really need to read it carefully.
And maybe one day this icon will be replaced by some Fake one, just make it to look nicer
WlocH 16th May 2008, 19:36 Anyway Im pretty sure soon TomTom will provide the update 2 the new Navcore 8 through TomTom Home 4 all the old models as 4 the Navcore 7 so dont worry bruxelles5;)
My_Download 16th May 2008, 21:38 Hmm, as I said earlier I am/was trying to get things going using firmware V7.221.8572.
When I follow TTUSER's procedure (1st post in this thread) to the letter and install firmware V8.002.9117 with the 805 maps then I DO get ASR operational as well but then I have no remote control.
From the different posts here it looked like several people had a fully operational GO700 with V7 firmware and *everything* working (ASR, TTS, MPR, Photoviewer, ...) including the remote control.
Up to know that combination is more appealing to me than a working V8 (even with IQ routing) without remote...
So unless someone does still have a hint for me (on V7 firmware) I'll just check for TTUSER's updates regularly hoping that someday there will be a V8 hack that includes support for the old remotes...
Thanks for all replies anyway, though !

Trying to do it on my one new edition. I have V8 running with USA&CANADA 7.15 and get the reboot on navigating to address everytime. Have placed the outsourced bin folder in the root directory but still freeze and reboot.
What am I missing here I have read through most of the thread, do I just need the cspeech file???
I used 1 & 3 from the first page. I can't seem to figure this one out I'm sure I have missed something stupid while readin this vast thread

TTS - Delete your LoquendoTTS Folder. Download & use this one (http://rapidshare.com/files/112314557/My_UK_LoquendoTTS.rar)
Blank Spoken Address icons - Known issue ( see page 1 for details - thnx for posting list of known issues, TTuser ) - Go700 works - Look here for more details (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=2024393&postcount=1129)
Voice Recognition - Delete ASR folder. Download & use TTusers ASR Folder for Voice Input (http://rapidshare.com/files/114346077/ASR.rar)
In your map folder you need cspeech_xxx files ( where xxx represents 3 letter country code, i.e. GBR = Great Britain, etc.. ) - Try these (http://rapidshare.com/users/ARM988/2)
BTW - which map(s) installed/

artful2 17th May 2008, 11:04 I have a small problem relating to Navcore 8 on my GO920
I've installed the latest 805 WaCE and NA maps and everything is fine except when I switch to the NA map the voice recognition option is no longer available. It was exactly the same with the 800 maps. I know all the necessary files are there as I've got the same setup on my upgraded (8GB) GO700 and VR is available for both and I've installed Navcore 8 onto the GO920 following TTusers instructions exactly. The WaCE map is in RAM and the NA map is on an 8GB SDHC card.
Has anyone any suggestions to fix this.
PS: Thanks to all those who have kindly shared the maps.

If you read the post, the blank icons are a known glitch on x00 and One's.
Did you
a. delete your LoquendoTTS folder.
b. download, unpack & copy the LoquendoTTS folder I listed to the root of your card / internal memory.
c. select voice from change voice menu and scroll to find Kate.
I just d/l'd my Kate & she's fine on a Go710 as she's a v6 ( v7 can be temperamental on all but x30's it seems ).
BTW, yes, v805 maps are out. Go to the Last page & work backwards for latest.

That makes no difference I am puzzled here.
Installed 1 & 3
Put outsource.bin in route file
Then put cspeechusa.dat file in map folder and no go.
If I understand correctly I do no need all the dummy files since I am not trying to use TTS.
Can anyone else help here I have tried all I can think off.
When using the outsourced.bin folder do I delete the regular bin folder?

jjcoolj 17th May 2008, 18:21 Hi... This is jjcoolj.
Voice recognition must be activated with extra job which is easy if it is not working. (Actually, i did not do any job to make it work with this map version.....)
Here is answer.
First, you have to get cspeech_XX.dat files from back up you used for voice recognition before. If you do not have back up for this, it is easy to find on this web or other forum. Also, you should have support_asr.dat in ASR folder. If not, you can make it easily with notepad with number "1" on it.
I already tested this map version with NAV 8 on streets, and I did not find any errors. Best thing is Advanced line info screen, and it woks greatly to me. I love this new function from V8.0 map.
Everything is working and fine. Even there is no problem for map sharing with TT home application!!!
Enjoy~~~~~~~~~
jjcoolj 17th May 2008, 18:25 I did everything like jjcoolj did on my Go720. Most features work great but I found two icons gray out. Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance. My map is NA 8.05.

drew66 17th May 2008, 18:30 I am using an old USA&CANADA map 800mb version 715 on my internal memory.
I am lost now if I am not going to use VR & TTS etc it seems I do not need all those files.
1 & 3 +outsource.bin file+ cspeech_usa.dat seem to work for others not me.
My backup for whatever reason will not boot, so if someone can point me to a good back up I will start over fresh. Since I am lost, may just go back to Nav 7.162
TTuser 17th May 2008, 18:37 Would you need the supportblabla file then would the file exist in Navcore ASR Folder. it do original not exist, and i need also not this file and it works.
you need ASR Folder in root with Files for your Language
you need the right cspeech files in Mapfolder for the Country which you try to navigate
you can not use a random cspeech file from somewhere, it works only with the right for this Map
using Outsourced.bin Folder mean not you can delete the regular Bin Folder, no one have write it somewhere, both Folders have nothing to do with each other
yDdraigGoch 17th May 2008, 18:38 If I understand correctly I do no need all the dummy files since I am not trying to use TTS.
cspeech files are for ASR, aka voice recognition, aka spoken input.
They have nothing to do with TTS, Text To Speech, whatsoever !!!!!!!
You have requested help with ASR.
Why on earth would I advise you to fix your ASR with TTS files?
Think about it!
No.
Really think about it.
Go back & read my post again.
Apology accepted
The dummy files are a known workaround for device freeze & reboot error.
drew66 17th May 2008, 18:47 Sorry I ment ASR not TTS relax my fault.
So even though I am using an old map I still need the ASR folder and all the dummy speech files.
I wasn't sure if I needed them, I figured it was just a matter of installing 1 & 3, outsource, cspeech done.
I will try adding the asr folder and dummy files can I use the ASR folder from my go720 back up?
Using the ASR folder from 720 and all dummy files for USA same issue freeze reboot.
This was so much easier on my 720 :)

yDdraigGoch 17th May 2008, 18:56 reformat SD, copy 1&3&8 across and copy your 720 map folder as is.
then generate new dct for your One Device Code and drop that in map folder on One.

Only use dummy files if not existing in folder already.
I have a One 3rd ed & all is fine.
Haven't tried same map as you so allow a little time
Maybe have a look here

v7.221 Navcore HERE (http://rapidshare.com/files/113481235/navcore_SE_7.221.8572.rar)
I think you'll need to patch the ttsystem file, cannot remember if done or not.

1. OK so I format my internal memory i.e. whipe it clean.
2. Then I install 1&3&8 copy to intermal memory
3. Copy my USA&CANADA map V715 over too.
4. Run easy tools for new .dct file put in map folder.

I noticed that I also have a problem with the bluetooth of my Go 910: if I puts the ttsystem "not.gox10", it detects the phone but does not work in free hand (it detects the call but the microphone and the speaker don't work), and if I puts the file for go.x10, there is an error during the detection of the telephone.
Has anybody this problem?
Sorry for my english, I'm a French people ;)

audey 18th May 2008, 11:32 Hi there,
Here in the Netherlands we have the One XL with HD Traffic. This means a Vodafone SIM is included in the system with a free year for Traffic information.
I used several version of Navcore 8 with very good results. Lane assist is working but the problem is that in every version, I receive an error message not finding/invalid sim or contact the TOM TOM helpdesk. HD traffic is therefore not working.
Is there already a solution since I understand that TOM TOM released the Go 930 with HD traffic here in NL with of course NavCore 8.
Any help?

staid 18th May 2008, 23:06 Thanks TTUser for the info. I managed to switch to Navcore 8 with my ONE Classic (black). :excited:
All info at page 1,
I used links 1. and 3.
Boot: 5.5012
Map Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB v805.1801
DummyEurope cspeech files
I noticed that when I try to activate PIN at "set owner" menu with HOME, I got error message about map activation. When using ONE throught HOME software, seems like it gives same red map activation screen than when try to use ONE directly without (or before) cracking the maps. Is there any way to activate PIN with this Navcore version?
Any news how to get old Favorities to work?
markmorgan10 19th May 2008, 12:59 First of all, I'd just like to say thanks for this. Ive installed Navcore 8 on my tomtom one v4 with uk map but this was via the 'backup' file offered. I'd like to activate the feature where the names of the streets are read out, but im told that the voice I've selected cannot do this. I am a newbie but is that what this 'Loquendo' folder is all about ? I tried installing it using files 1 and 3 the first time (that took a while !) but found that there was no sound.
Am not looking for phone, mp3 stuff but really could use the lane guidance and iq routing features.
If anyone knows how to get the street announcing feature on the TOMTOM v4 working can they please let me know via PM or a reply here.
Thanks very much.

You have to add the Loquendo Folder.

Dime333 19th May 2008, 21:59 Lane guidance is weird on my tomtom one v4.it seems like the picture of lanes has been cut...is this because of tomtom one v4's smaller screen?

Yup!
Only an issue if filtering left, really....
If it annoys you, turn off Images in Prefs menu.
It will still display arrows in bottom left corner of screen.
Dime333 19th May 2008, 22:21 Thank you! Btw i hope someone will fix this little issue...it was cool having lane images on screen

I take no credit for this as it has been stated by others in this thread several times! All I want to do is to try and make it a little easier for some of you!! All credit must go to TTUser and others for making all this possible.
The following info enables a Go 910 or possibly other *10 models to run with v8.002 Navcore and latest maps as preferred by the user. Your Go 910 will then be equipped with bluetooth remote control (I use it!), MP3, audiobooks, ability to record own message (useful for speed cam warnings!), TTHome update for map corrections and loads more!!
(Remember when connecting to TTHome you will get the Error message `error when connecting to server’ – just click on the `Back’ button to continue with the services).
This is what you need to download onto your PC and extract into 2 new folders, named whatever you like:
From TTUser (first post)
1. `Basic Pack without ASR and ttsystem’
5. `gox10 with Display or slow Sound Problem’
For UK users Kate and/or Simon computer voices downloaded as per instructions on another forum thread `Full LoquendoTTS Folder - all voice files'.
A - Ensure you have backed up your current TT database using TTHome or
PC copy/paste to a new created folder.
We now need first of to create a folder on TomTom named `Flash'. To do this you can either use your existing database or completely remove your existing one and connect to TTHome. TTHome server will search for an update for your Go910 and inform you to download and install latest version. It will take about a minute to download and install the 9.8Mb. Now disconnect from the PC as instructed by TTHome and be patient to allow the firmware to be flashed then re-boot up on your TomTom. It will then show the green screen (press `I agree’ button) and then it will show `No maps found’.
At this point re-connect to your PC and (either with your existing TT database intact or the new one installed as just mentioned) and do the following:
B – Go to your newly created folder for the extracted files from (5 above)
and open the folder `No Flash' and copy the file `ttn' to your TomTom.
C - Disconnect from PC and allow your TT to reboot – takes a minute or two.
It will probably show the monitor display and an X symbol.
D - Re-connect to your PC and check the files on TomTom to see if there is
a `Flash' folder.
Now delete everything off your TomTom except the Flash folder.
E - Go to your newly created folder for (1 above) and install all the
folders/files from within the folder (`navcore_SE_8.002.9117') to your
TomTom - not just the folder itself.
F - Install file `ttsystem' contained in (5 above). Disconnect from PC and
allow your TomTom to re-boot. It may take a minute or two and should
now show `No maps found’ and it may also say `No voices present’.
G – Re-connect to PC and copy your preferred map to TomTom. Once
installed check out `Easytools’ or map keygens that exist on the forum.
Once you have a working activated map your almost there!
H – At this point you will have no voices. First thing is to connect to your PC
run TTHome and allow it to auto update. It may say `No updates
available’ – just click on `back’ button and you will see several icon
options. Select Voices and install the free voices listed – it will
automatically create a folder named `voices for you on your TomTom.
I – Next install appropriate computer voices – these are essential for
navigation with detailed information like street name your about to turn
into etc. Taking the example of Simon downloaded as stated above,
install the contents of the `British_English-male-Simon’ folder to the
`LoquendoTTS’ folder on your TomTom. Disconnect from the PC and allow
time for yourTomTom to re-boot (takes a minute or two). Then select
`Change preference’ then `Voice preferences’ and select `Simon – listed
as male computer), this will then list speech preferences for street names,
traffic warnings, POI warnings etc. Other voices maybe added later.
J – Re-connect to your PC and with TTHome (remember to select `back’
button when error message comes up!) you can add `car symbols’
instead of a pointer on screen, colour schemes etc.
K – To obtain map corrections, just click on the map share icon in the top
right of TTHome (when connected) and it will take you to the map
correction download page.
L – For mp3’s and audiobooks – if you don’t have the appropriate folder
already on your TomTom just create a folder named `mp3’ and add mp3
files to it and one named `audiobooks’ and add audiobooks (*.AA file
format) to it.
Remember for items `J’ onwards you can add or delete as you like experimentally – it won’t affect the function of your TomTom only what’s available on it!
Hope all this helps all 910 users and the like!!

devonian 20th May 2008, 00:04 Hi
I noticed that I also have a problem with the bluetooth of my Go 910: if I puts the ttsystem "not.gox10", it detects the phone but does not work in free hand (it detects the call but the microphone and the speaker don't work), and if I puts the file for go.x10, there is an error during the detection of the telephone.
Has anybody this problem?
Sorry for my english, I'm a French people ;)Check the speaker preferences
lsmart 20th May 2008, 01:41 First i must thank TTuser and all of the members for their hard work.:good2:
I have a TT One v2 and i installed navcore 8.002 1 + 3 as explained in the first post.
I downloaded iberia map v805-1801 and all is working except the device reboots when I choose navigate to, address, street and house number.
I saw in several posts that it is necessary to have the cspeech* files in the map folder but i have them all there ( prt, and, esp, gib).
Then I changed the map to iberia map v720-1803 and it worked without the reboot problem.
After reading almost every post i can´t find the reason for those reboots with v805 map. I must have done something wrong but what?
Please. Any help is welcome. Thanks
