I have tried to update my tt one xl to navcore 8 with working map v7.10 and everything seems to work except for the computer voice or any other voice. The sound would work a little for the human voice and never for the computer voice. And if i tried to play mp3, all the voices would not even work at all. Can some one lead me into the right direction as to how to get back the computer voice for tts. Also, my tt kept on rebooting and never really shut down. Where can i get the poweroff file from root. Cant find it?

I have a 720 and I'm trying to update it to navcore8 and NA map 805.1801. I have successfully downloaded (original) navcore_8.002.9117.gox30.cab but I'm getting an error from rapidshare when trying to download ttsystem.8.002.9117.only.for.x20.to.emux30.rar saying 'The uploader has removed this file from the server'.

Is anyone else seeing the same issue? Can someone post that file either here in the forum or back out on rapidshare please.

This is normal....if you look back in the old posts in this forum, you will see that the 910 remote doesn't work once you upgrade to Navcore 8....this is not an issue for most users. If you really need a remote, I understand that a 920 or 930 remote WILL work.

I went through all these posts and could not find the answer to my problem.

I have a GO 700 and I have pasted the #1 and #3

When I turn it on, it shows me the map to choose, but gives me an error that I cannot run the maps on my device. I did create a .dct with the keygen.

Can you please help me. I have tried it both with v 7.15 maps that were working before and with v.8 maps.

Am I missing any step? Do I need to patch ttsystem somehow?

This is my first post in this forum. Unfortunately this post is related to a problem.

I read this thread completly after investing many of hours but found till yet not the right answer.

My problem is related to Tomtom one 2nd edition(v 4) , *.ogg and *.ov2.

I am running at the moment this version of one with APP 8.002 (9117/080328) OS : 3024 GPS v1.21, BOOT 5.5012

MAP western & central europe 800.1766

in SAVE RAM MODE and with dummy cspeech files.

I have many *.ov2 files (40-50) speed traps related. I want to use the *.ogg files with that ( because by 50 kmh they says CAUTION 50 in GERMAN language, instead of making the bell noise ).

But as a known problem they dont work and the normal human voice is after that as well gone ( till next reset ).

lord2000 -- wrote the 22khz method and posted as well the 22khz sounds to download and try, did as well not worked by me.

BUT The same *.ogg files let do play if you click on CHANGE PREFERENCES and then on SAFETY PREFERENCES. !!!!???? WHY can u here the same *.ogg under same software ver on an other place but not with the combination of *.ov2 .

Another interesting thing -- The same software is working on a TOMTOM GO 720 without problem with these *.ogg (without converting to 22 khz).

TTUSER can u please figur it out what the problem is

1. Is it APPLICATION software (Navcore) ?

2. Is it BOOTOADER ( I don't think so ) ?

3. Or is it due to the RAM SAVING MODE procedure ? ( I tried it after deleting the OUTSOURCED.BIN folder but the problem was still there).


If it is no. 1 , then my question IS THERE ANY OTHER NAVCORE 8 VER that is not making this problem ( I tried to find but didn't found ).

OR can I DOWNGRADE my BOOTLOADER to any smaller version so that i can use the NAVCORE 7, I read the the complete DOWNGRADE THREAD in this forum as well, but i dont know exactly if any of the methods ttgo.bif and ttgo.bak with changing the version no. really works.

I will be very thankful to every help, because this Tomtom unit is from a friend of me and he covers 1000's of Kilometers every week and his eye sight is a bit weak, thats why it is very difficult to judge for him how fast he must drive to the point of speedtrap.

However, I tried warn when near (special cam-radar) POI:
Change preferences/Manage POIs/Warn when near POI/RF_FR/273 yards/Beep 5
I get allways Bell 1 alarm.

1) What file is concerned?

I have a TomTom Go 720 and the device Show the application version as 8.010 (9369/080529) and i have western Europe Maps Version 715.1703.
Can any one help me how to install the V8 Maps to Go 720 Which has 8.010 Application.

The bootloader version in my One v2 is 5.5012 and I have maps on an SD card with Nav8.011 and maps on another card with Nav 7.162. Both run without problem.

I have been reading for ages and cannot seem to find solution to specific issue.

i am running Australia Map 720.1838 on 8.002 all works fine (e.g. TTS) except the ASR runs but has no idea what I am saying, i.e. if I clearly say 'Melbourne' it doesn't find anything remotely close to what I am saying..

it is *working* just not correctly... any ideas what I might need to tweak to get this to work???

Australian 7.20.1838 map is not ASR enabled at all. ASR files that you have in your GO unit are likely from 7.00 ASR enabled map instead and are incompatible to 7.20 map.
Therefore you will have no luck with voice recognition with your current setup.
there is nothing that can be done at this stage to get ASR working for you unless you will switch to 7.00 map.
Keep monitoring this forum for new ASR enabled Aussie maps that should be released in next 2-3 months from now. Unfotunatelly, TT has not made available 8.x Australian maps as of yet.

I have installed the navcore 8.002 with the maps Western Central Europe 8.05 on my GO 910. Everything works fine except the speed of search of my device.
I tried to use it in Save Ram Mode or in SE Version... and the result is the same: to calculate a path on about 200 kms, I have seen that a GO 720 was about 2 to 3 times faster than my GO 910.
Is there an explanation ? Do other users have the same problem ? a solution to get the good speed ?

I've got two TT1 v.1 units.

One runs fine with a Sandisk Ultra II 2Gb card with Navcore 8.002 running TTS and has the current AUS 720.1868 & NZ 711 maps installed.

The other has a Topram 150x hi speed 4Gb card and four maps loaded AUS & NZ as above but also a WE&C Europe also Eastern Europe. For some reason when navigating running Navcore 8.002 the TTS gives current instructions but the map stops moving when reaching a route change e.g. turn or roundabout then catches up shortly afterward. That same unit running Navcore 7.221 runs smoothly without a problem.

Both have dummy cspeech files installed to overcome any navigation issue.

I have formatted the Topram card with the Panasonic software, but with four maps on the SD card it hesitates using Navcore 8.002. Any suggestions?

ok managed to find a tutorial..on how to make camera's work. and how to make maps work and for voices just downloaded voices made a folder called voices and put all files in there ..worked a treat.heres the tutorial if anyone doesn't know.

GUIDE TUTORIAL TO GET MAP AND CAMERS WORKING..MAKE SURE META TXT HAS THE RIGHT CODE FOR YOUR MAP VERSION OR IT WON'T PATCH OR WORK.

1. Use auto tool developed by TTuser

2. Unpack archive to your computer. You would have two folders:
"Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck" and
"ttsystem_Patcher".
Use a folder "Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck"

3. In the folder "Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck" you would see one more folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here".

4. Unpack the archive with speedcams using e.g. WinRAR in any folder at your computer.

5. Unpack files of the necessary radars with extension cab using e.g. WinRAR.

You will have three files with extensions: *.ov2, *.ver, *.dct
For example:
Blitzer_AT_TomTom.ov2
Blitzer_AT_TomTomOv2.ver
Blitzer_AT_TomTom.ov2.dct

You will have such three files for every country.

6. Copy them to the folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here".

I have a friends TT1 V3 which I am upgrading to V8.002. I loaded the app ran it, keyed the map (805 UK & RofI) restarted but get "Problem with Map you cannot use this map on this device"
This unit normally has TT6 with a 650 USA and Canada map on 1G SD card.
Has anyone seen this before?
PS. I have run all of the easytools programs.

Update 1 I have managed to get 8.002 to use the map (805.1803 North America), keyed it and all looked good until I tried to put in a route. As soon as I select the address icon the unit freezes then reboots after about 20 seconds.
Found a copy of TT 7.480 this loaded but would not find the maps ("no maps found") Tried the 8.010 and 8.011 basic+ from TTUsers post (I need to thank TTUser for all his hard work) neither got past the loading screen; back to 8.002 and loaded the smaller 720 USA/Canada map thinking the problem is with only having 32M of ram. same results as before, all looks good until I try to input a route then freezes as soon as I select an icon (address. cross street etc.)

Update 2 Started reading again, this time I read every line and saw in TTUsers (again many thanks :urtheman:) first post the statement Units freeze if CSpeech files missing. Put the files back and it now looks to work. I will now try and get TTS to work.

I use the v8.002 since its release on my go 910. I wanted to try the new version 8,002 of 21.07 and it works well. But the new folder "flash" prevents me from using my remote control bluetooth?

Where can download the old version to find the "noflash" that worked with my remote control bluetooth ? Thank you

I replaced my version of the 26.05 by 21.07 by deleting the folder of noflash go in copying the ttsystem and copying the basic pack and the folder of flash, the remote does not work!

When I deliver the "flash" a backup and I will not change anything else, I retain the new ttsystem of 21.07 and the basic pack, then the remote fontionne?

Edit : I conducted several tests and I just found the solution. I delete the file link_key (there was not in the version of 26.05) folder "Flash" and the remote works. :excited:

It was upgraded using the excellent procedure on this thread.
Everithing appears to be working EXCEPT FOR TTS.

Mine actually started working after i removed "switchfiles.zip".
Still does not work when running a demo ( recorded voices also ).

I would like to thank TTuser and the other contributors to this thread.
My GO510 now works 100% including TTS,ASR,IQroutes,LaneAssist.

Hi thanks yDdraigGoch for that LoquendoTTS file I'm downloading it right now..
I have no idea what the outsourced.bin file does or how i can turn off using it.
I have now just put on the 8.011 system files on and the error doesn't seem to be coming up now.

I will give the Loquendo folder a go when it finishes downloading.

Thanks yDdraigGoch !! it works, with your Loquendo folder TTS is working. I've tested on the demo route which never worked before so I'm confident that it will work now.

Is there any benefit of the newer bootloader ? besides SDHC support >?

good stuff. you may find the x30 orange a bit garish.
I prefer x20 although planning text is too dark...I can live with this rather than orange!
I also use the switches for x20, x30 & reboot ( the rest are fairly pointless for xx0 models )
I drop fmon on the root rather than switch it ( I have fm trans-mounts )

My GO510 uses rev 5.5012 and still can't deal with sdhc cards. Is there a better one ?

I think 5.5012 is latest at moment.

Well the TTS is working fine, one thing I never looked at before the ASR input options isn't there, what do I need to do to get this working >?
I've got an ASR folder with 19MB worth of stuff, but I dont have an option to use speech to input my destination ?.

Do I need a newer bootloader to enable this feature ? can anyone point me in the right direction ?

You should NOT accept Navcore updates from TTHome if you want cracked maps!!

Plus, v8 Navcore is currently not officially available for the x10 series from TT.

I have Navcore 8.010 installed on my GO510. It works great but only has the EnglishGB Kate TTS voice.
Does anyone have a link to a matching LoquendoTTS that includes an EnlishUS voice ?

I recently went back to SE 8.002.9117 on my GO 910 as I was getting lots of strange problems with 8.011, including not being able to turn the unit on, and just as bad, having it turn off while driving for no apparant reason, and sometimes not turning on again without a reset. It was sending me NUTS.

So, I went back to 8.002.9117 and all is pretty good again, except when I connect to TomtomHome it doesn't like doing the updates of the gps data....takes ages and sometimes never seems to complete the process. My friend's GO 910 does the updates in less that a minute. Any ideas ??

Just use the newest navcore version 8.016 and the newest map version 8.10, I don't see why you should use 8.002 navcore. I have a tomtom new edition and it works like a charm. Use the newest and read the readmes (which TTuser named readmenot.txt, because nobody reads them anyway and starts asking anoying question all the time).

Just make sure you have enough space (>2gb) otherwise you should remove the cspeech files, but it all becomes clear if you just start to read the appropriate threads and download the files and read the readmes.

And i didn't edit the ttgo.bif because it does it itself for the 8002 version.

Took the Basicpack and a ttsystem put it in the SD card
Using map NA 815 2019

Start it up to my amazement and excitment it showed a screen
but shows a warning Can't mount flash and no folder no flash found
tells me to choose a language I try to choose a language but freezes

any help or direction would be great

I got v8 maps+ nv core ( i used Complete from User "edel_hert" created working onexl Backup (include SE_ttsystem.8.002.9117.NO.TTS.not.gox10.emux30)
) working but:
some voices dont work even if i reinstall them
reality view doesnt work ( i have tomtom one )

why doesnt reality view work?I just see normal one..but iq routes etc works

Reset the TomTom for 15 seconds. Worked for me with the voices.

It should work w/ TTOne v1 " I believe " if I am wrong someone say so, so rainbal does not make a mistake from my mistake.
