cFos Traffic Shaping reduces delays during data transfer and allows you to surf the Internet up to three times faster. Finally, you can use the full bandwidth of your DSL connection!
During TCP/IP transfer, a certain amount of data needs to be confirmed upon reception before more can be sent. Stalling data confirmation results in delays and transfer-rate slowdowns, thus forcing the sender to wait. Especially for ADSL, it is possible to slow a download to a crawl by choking the upstream channel (which has the smaller bandwidth anyway) with an upload. This is because in such a scenario there is not enough upstream bandwidth left for data confirmation.
The standard solution so far has been to try and compensate for this by increasing TCP window size, thereby allowing more data to be sent without immediate confirmation. The main problem here is that this also leads to high ping times (latency) and significant delays during Webpage rendering. Latency of up to 2 seconds is not uncommon for TCP windows with a size of 64k. In short, huge window sizes just won´t let you achieve full download speed.
By contrast, cFos Traffic Shaping prioritizes data traffic in such a fashion that important packets zip past regular packets. This way, receipts always arrive in time, and uploads won't ever choke your broadband connection again!
cFos Traffic-Shaping technology recognizes a number of important packet types and prioritizes them not only to keep Internet traffic running smoothly but also to ensure particularly low ping times. This not only accelerates surfing and download speeds significantly, but it is also a decisive advantage for online gaming.
With cFos Traffic Shaping, you will notice measurable improvements and benefits like:
* Full download rate during upload
* Consistently quick response time while surfing the Web or running other applications
* Improved VoIP speech quality

cFos Speed 3.22 build 1254 | 1,92 Mb
Added gset variable save_in_session. If set to 0, it will prevent cFosSpeed from saving data.ini, budget and traffic stats every 10 minutes. However, trace.txt is still saved if output is printed to it. Thanks to Paszczak for the feature request. We now activate the device after installation. This could fix some problems with non-loading drivers. When lowering msslimit this is now enforeced on existing connections as well. Before that, it only worked on new connections.
Fixed logging of driver load problems for Vista.
I hope I finally fixed that darned crash at deinstallation. Thanks to spookypsi and all other for dumps, patience and testing.

Normal data transfer:
Data reception needs to be confirmed (ACKnowledgment packets) before new data can be sent.
http://www.cfos.de/images/ani_2_sm.gif
No Traffic Shaping:
ACK packets are stalled and delayed by a simultaneous upload. As a result, the download is slowed down as well.
cFos Traffic Shaping:
ACK packets are prioritized in the upstream, allowing the download to continue at maximum speed.
My Review:
► This software has 30 days of trial before you can purchase it for USD$11 for lifetime license... cheap???...don't worry i give it free here include crack
► Requires a few days to 'learn' about your surfing/dowloading habits of your PC so that it knows your maximum upload rate to fully utilize your bandwidth.
► My webpage viewing has loaded about 3 times faster... especially w*w.dxdforum.com which used to take forever to load!
► My torrent downloading has been maxed out at 97kbps (on my 1mbit streamyx line)
► My Skype has become clearer but the file transfer behavior has changed. It used to be that last time the file transfer is full speed when not 'voice calling'. But now, you have to do 'voice call' to get full transfer rate. When sending file, it starts slow (as I am chatting with my friend). I had to hang up then call again then the speed will be maxed out approx 20~25kbps. Which is good cos I can chat and send files at the same time! thumbup.gif
► My downloads from RapidShare has been able to max out at 105kbps shocking.gif (it used to be really really slow... but for some reason, from certain servers, its really fast now)
► System resources take about 8000~10000k memory so it doesnt really bother me. Firefox takes 100000k~!
► Cool speed monitoring skin... looks like a Windows Vista app (Liquid Crystal)
► IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS.... OPTIMIZE YOUR INTERNET SPEED!!!
Anyway, this software works for me but use it at your own risk. Why I posted this here instead of the Review section is because I want to find out who else is using Traffic Shapping to speed up their Internet? Please write a review here (and what software you are using) too then maybe we can pin this up. Traffic shaping is the way to go!

cFosSpeed now has support to send ping messages from both usermore and
kernelmode, named "hybrid ping". This should hopefully help with some
firewalls that are difficult to configure or have problems with spd.exe
sending ICMP messages. cFosSpeed will switch between usermode and kernel-
mode ping at the beginning of a connection to ensure pings are coming
through.

mc123 28th August 2007, 22:00 4.02.BUILD 1312
Added rx-priorisation. It works as follows:
Each class (high, default, low, lowest) has a weight assigned. Furthermore,
all TCP streams are mapped to a certain class (this only applies for bulk
data; e.g. ACKs are always sent out in the higher class), according to
filter rules. The class weight is used when TCP windows for rx-shaping are
computed. A TCP stream with weight 100 gets a window that is about 4 times
bigger than a stream with weight 25. This should *usually* translate into
more speed on that stream, but not necessarily (e.g. the sending server
might not be fast enough).
The pre-set weights are:
class high -weight 400
class default -weight 100
class low -weight 25
class lowest -weight 6
I.e. regular browser downloads (class default) should get about 16 times
the speed than Torrents (class lowest).
The weighting needs some time (some seconds) to be through, so a newly
created higher-than-average TCP stream needs these seconds to come to full
speed.
+ Now UDP checksums are checked as well.
+ New language: Russian. That makes a total of 17 languages supported.
+ Added "spd timerstyle" command to query (just "spd timerstyle"), set
"spd timerstyle " or list supported values ("spd timerstyle -?").
Changes to timerstyle are only active after a restart of cFosSpeed.
+ Added layer-7 protocols SSL_S_BULK, SSL_C_BULK and SSH_BULK. Switching
of sessions between bulk and regular mode is done automatically based
on speed and packet sizes. Thanks to ghorvath for inspiration.
+ Added gset variable fwlog. Setting it to 0 ("spd gset fwlog 0 -save")
will disable fwlog.txt logging of firewalled packets. Thanks to danny
for inspiration.
+ Straightened evaluation of which filter rules determine the class of a
connection. Now rules like -tcp-dport, etc. work as well. The third column
of a "spd filter" output is 'c' for rules that set the class.
+ "spd reset_budget" without specifying a budget number now resets the current
budget.
x Fixed warning that is displayed if too many connections cause rx-shaping
to be inefficient. It was displayed regardless of the number of
connections.
x Fixed a problem where downloads would be slowed too much. Thanks to FR.
x FTPS (FTP with SSL, FTP with TLS) command sessions are now identified
as FTPCMD in layer-7 detection. Thanks to ghorvath.
x Switching the medium no longer changes the shaping algorithm. This was
unintuitiv. If you want a different shaping algo (variable/fixed) you
now have to switch it manually.
- Streamlined some code in search of obnoxious "slow LAN copy" bug. Thanks
to Steve Coolen for his help.
- Module "ackfilter" is now disabled by default. Set "ackfilter=1" in
section [param] in cfosspeed.ini to enable it again. This does only
switch off the filtering of presumably superfluous TCP ACKs, not the
regular priorisation of TCP ACKs.
- cFosSpeed service is no longer flagged interactive. Please inform us if
something doesn't work as expected.

cFos for Windows is a ISDN, DSL / PPPoE und ATM driver for Internet access and modem software.
cFos data compression can be activated (cFos to cFos) with the “-43b” parameter and the “AT&K1″ command. If your CAPI driver supports CAPI-V.42bis data compression, it can be enabled using the “AT&Q1″ command.
cFos is a perfect ISDN and DSL Dial-in Driver.
cFos NT/2000/XP is a DSL & ISDN driver for internet access and modem software, and runs on Windows NT 4.0 an higher.
Setup + Key attached
1. Install the .exe file
2. Run the key.cfosspeed file
3. Enter the code (in the ser!al.txt)

What's New in This Release:
· You can now even set a more limited subnet mask override (see subnet_override). Thanks to Zyw for inspiration.
· Added "spd cperf" command to switch on or off class traffic dumping. By setting "spd cperf on" cFosSpeed will dump about once per second how many bytes were sent in what priority class. This can help in testing filter rules or finding performance problems.
· When cFosSpeed is sending slow because of tx congestion and that congestion goes away, cFosSpeed will now return to its old tx speed quicker.
· Historical maximum speeds can now fall as well, if your line gets slower (because its bandwidth isn't fixed or because your speed was switched down).
· x UDP program name detection was broken since build 4.01.1308. Fixed.
· The "no pings" balloon will now appear later, i.e. the number of pings that must be missing for this balloon to appear is higher now.
· FTPDATA protocol can now be set to high or higher priority, regardless of its packet sizes.
· Removed tracing of minimal RTT ping packets

cFos Traffic Shaping reduces delays during data transfer and allows you to surf the Internet up to three times faster. Finally, you can use the full bandwidth of your DSL connection!
During TCP/IP transfer, a certain amount of data needs to be confirmed upon reception before more can be sent. Stalling data confirmation
results in delays and transfer-rate slowdowns, thus forcing the sender to wait.
Especially for ADSL, it is possible to slow a download to a
crawl by choking the upstream channel (which has the smaller bandwidth
anyway) with an upload.
This is because in such a scenario there is not enough upstream bandwidth left for data confirmation. The standard
solution so far has been to try and compensate for this by increasing TCP window size, thereby allowing more data to be sent without
immediate confirmation.
The main problem here is that this also leads to high ping times (latency) and significant delays during Webpage
rendering. Latency of up to 2 seconds is not uncommon for TCP windows
with a size of 64k. In short, huge window sizes just won?t let you
achieve full download speed. By contrast, cFos Traffic Shaping
prioritizes data traffic in such a fashion that important packets zip
past regular packets. This way, receipts always arrive in time, and
uploads won't ever choke your broadband connection again! cFos
Traffic-Shaping technology recognizes a number of important packet
types and prioritizes them not only to keep Internet traffic running
smoothly but also to ensure particularly low ping times. This not only
accelerates surfing and download speeds significantly, but it is also
a decisive advantage for online gaming. With cFos Traffic Shaping, you
will notice measurable improvements and benefits like:
* Full download rate during upload
* Consistently quick response time while surfing the Web or running
other applications
* Improved VoIP speech quality
* Perfect for online gamers!
* Extended Traffic Shaping for DSL modems, cable modems & routers
* Highly responsive when used with online games and filesharing (P2P)
like eMule, Kazaa or Bittorrent
* Minimal ping times for streaming audio & video, Voice over IP
(VoIP), Internet Radio, etc.
* Individual program prioritization

The program takes a little time to begin working, and needs to be configured correctly. The most notable change for me was being able to download at fullspeed while uploading at full speed.
But I wanted to say also, it's not spam if someone doesn't find the program helps them. That is useful to know.
Spam is saying "great, thanks! will try it!" or something similar.

My system is clean and i just reformatted drive. Thanks..ill try again to install the software and lets see what happens.
drangina 27th November 2007, 22:58 I again downloaded it after reviewing the software reviews.
I have some of these problems if someone can help
1. none of keys working only patch workin..
2. after patching my upload and download skin stops working. it shows but no running status.
3. when i check the current connection it shows only one process even if i run many interner programmes.
I dont know if it is actually working for me or not. If it is working fully then plz tell me which setting i use..i have 1 mbps broadband conection where i usully get 200kbps download without this software. but now getting 175 kbps.
Thanks in advance.

+ Added support for Vista Sidebar Gadgets. See speed.gadget in the cFosSpeed installation directory (double-click to install after first re-boot). This sample gadget demonstrates how to create your own sidebar gadgets. Feel free to contact us. We might be interested in publishing your gadget on our website.
+ New language: Arabic! That makes a total of 18 languages supported. Even more languages are downloadable from our web site, here :http://www.cfos.de/speed/documentation/lang.htm
+ trace.txt is now in UTF-8 coding, but without a byte-order marker at the beginning. Use e.g. notepad for viewing.
+ The gset parameter passthru can now be set to 2. This will still bypass all shaping and packet modification logic, but not as radical as passthru = 1. Debugging purpose only.
+ Added func_trace = 2. This will dump NDIS_PACKETS with all fields into trace.txt. Debugging purpose only.
+ Network adapters are no longer unbound if set to "Auto". Only setting them to "No" will force the unbind. Thanks to Andrey Chernov for his help.
+ Added a way to change and save rtt_tab's. Thanks to Darko Grskovic for inspiration.
+ If class installer is locked, adding a route is retried every 3 seconds.
x Fixed a long-standing bug (maybe as old as v2.13): packets were sometimes sent to the wrong network adapter. This could have happened whenever you
had more than one active adapter. This could fix problems with Hamachi, VPN software, multiple network cards or bridging. Please test and report!
x Fixed a rare crash while loading. Maybe this crash only appeared with certain VPN software. Thanks to Christopher Moffett for the dump file.
x Testing whether not activating the device will fix freezes after installation under Vista.
x Cleaned up NDIS packet handling.
x Buttons in the icon skins where not working under Windows Vista. Fixed.
x Now setting 'inhibit_bridged' will immediately change 'bridged' variable. Thanks to Velouria for the bug report.
x Some internal rewrite to fix a spurious bluescreen.

This way, receipts always arrive in time, and uploads won’t ever choke your broadband connection again! cFos Traffic-Shaping technology recognizes a number of important packet types and prioritizes them not only to keep Internet traffic running smoothly but also to ensure particularly low ping times. This not only accelerates surfing and download speeds significantly, but it is also a decisive advantage for online gaming.

cFosSpeed is a network driver, which attaches itself to existing Internet connections. It then optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping.
Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing the Internet traffic. It allows maximum speed while ensuring minimal Ping.
You can use cFosSpeed with a router and/or a DSL-modem or cable-modem. You can also use cFosSpeed with other types of Internet access, ie. whenever you already have an existing Internet connection.

cFosSpeed 4.24 build 1420.Incl.Patch by LovePascal [size 2.02mb]
cFosSpeed is a high-performance network driver for DSL modems and routers. Highlights of this program include Traffic Shaping, For DSL modems and routers, Fully compatible with conventional PPPoE drivers, Automatic router detection, Self-calibrating, Highly responsive when used with online games and Peer-to-Peer networks like eMule or Kazaa, and Freely configurable priority classes.
cFos Traffic Shaping reduces delays during data transfer and allows you to surf the Internet up to three times faster.
In short, huge window sizes just won?t let you achieve full download speed.
