i dont know how to do a fix to get the game to run do i just run the fix or do i have to copy it or something

the fix is for the issues that may arise on different computers and the game may not work (and the fix "fix" them AND you may have to copy some files over another ones)...
Give us an example and you (may) get more help on that issue you've had encountered :confused:
