When this patch is activated it is applicable to all menus on phone. I know a lot of members kept repeating the same question because no one paid attention to this:
EnableHiddenMenus by FCA00000
In the main applications menu some options disappear if you select a program or a folder. This patch shows all of them, allowing you to rename applications and creating sub-folders inside folders. Seems to work on preFP1, although on FP1 it doesn't show the menu to rename apps

Do you find it of any use on FP1 phones? If no, then I'll update the post for this. Also note that all the hidden items get shown but the owning application hasn't activated them, so the app won't respond to it.

I have n91, i have been trying to remove camera sounds with this app.
But without luck. I think I know the file that playes the sound, but i have not success to "hack" the file. That file is in z:\resource\apps\camcorder.r01

I can upload that file if somebody wants to try help me and others.

My phone haves camcorder.exe not camMojave.exe or whatever it is.

...The best part about MenuPatch is that it allows you to rename just about any app/folder in menu...also creating new sub-folders is so damn easy now ;)

After understanding how to edit rmp files, i have just managed to run camera patches from Microx256 on my N95-8gb v20.0.16 by finding and editing right values of CamMojave.exe for v20.0.16 firmware... Below you can download and test them with your N95-8gb v20.0.16... Hope all these helps !

Patches:
DisableCameraCaptureSound
DisableCameraFocusSound
DisableCameraRecordSound
DisableCameraStopSound
EnableHiddenMenus

Notes:
1- For DisableCameraCaptureSound you must select capture tone 2 from settings menu of camera application...
2- After applying DisableCameraStopSound you still see a warning sign , but it is working. Sorry there is two links for the same sound file in CamMojave.exe and i had to add two links in the rmp file. I think, because of that i cant get a green checkmark in rom patcher although the patch is working... Btw, after applying all other three patches you get green checkmark in rompatcher...

Nothing is changed in Z drive actually.

The patch is all done in RAM memory, so that after restarting phone, everything goes back to normal

Product code can only be changed from NSS.

This patch will give all the capabilities to the installed applications. Also it will allow you to install some unsigned applications. Not all unsigned programs can be installed e.g. if supplier is untrusted.
Warning: Installing a program from untrusted sources is dangerous.

It's not possible mate. ROMPatcher comes into action later after the phone has started all other system processes. The start video/logo is shown much before that. Don't forget that the patches are not permanent and dissappear the moment you switch off the phone ;)

My App TRK doesn't connect... though i have follow the instruction carefully and made correct setting USB (Com10).

I guess u are connecting ur phone with a usb hub? try connect ur phone's usb directly to one of your PC's USB port.

well, i did it.... just check this post (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1913935&postcount=1) - step 1 and 2 are included in ROMPatcher, step 3 helped me to install unsigned/cracked SymSMB. Now I am using my E51 in Network neighborhood, and transfer files over wifi (good bye to usb plug/unplug).

Use the trial and error method... try Com1, Com2....etc and u will eventually find one. I have a strong feeling u will get the right one within 10 Coms.... (that's what i did when i experienced similar problem)

guys,i'm using nokia n82(FP1) and i install the 1st patcher and the phone keep restart. will the 2nd patch work (Updated 30 updated 30th April by Zork).
do i have to restart all over again coz i dont know how to uninstall the rompatcher, has anyone ever succeeded to make this procedure successfull in n82.

u dont need to uninstall the old rompatched coz it will be written with the new one..

in rompatcher use must "disable caps" to view private folder

And you need to do the following to x-plore too:

in x-plore, click Menu/tools/configuration and tick "Show Rom drives" and "Show system files/folders"

then u will see drive Z and the required folders.

No. I tried to open ROMPatcher, but it s not open. Just blink and disappear. I am on N73 and I did not repeat it on PC since I have done it successfully via FCA. So I just install ROMPatcher then try to apply. but cannot start it,

Hmmm, maybe it's possible somehow to disable LED when recording by cam...? i know it's completely different to disabling the sound, but this setting should be somewhere too...

Use the trial and error method... try Com1, Com2....etc and u will eventually find one. I have a strong feeling u will get the right one within 10 Coms.... (that's what i did when i experienced similar problem)

Is there any option to unsign application on phone coz sometimes we need to remove the expired cert and replace with new one on phone (signsis).... if we sign the aplication that already have cert.. sometimes it complicated to install coz have 2 cert..

This patch do work and I get to see all hidden menus... but I cant use any of those menus... it looks as if those menus are blank!

I am using a N76 which is a FP1 platform, so this hack do work on both Pre Fp1 and Fp1.

Nice posting though, I always love anything related to hacking the phone...

How to: Copy the files sw.txt , model.txt from z:\resource\versions\ to c:\resource\versions\ (create the folder) and then edit it to whatever you want ;)

This patch is only for fun , when you type *#0000# to see what you have yourself writed in this files (sw.txt, model.txt). It has nothing to do with the real phone firmware change!

Have u download the latest rompatcher posted 1 april? Pls recheck, If u still got error I suggest u upgrade ur phone firmware to v4.21

Hi there. I have a 6110 Navigator. T followed all the steps precisely, but when I tried to open RomPatcher in My Own folder of applications, it doesn't open at all. There is no error message or anything else. Also, I can't remove ir from my phone. What do I do?

Here is just one very simple example of making the simpliest patch (PhoneModelChange) for all the ppl who didn't get how this numbers are found.

First you must find the files using the files you want to change(I have copied all my z:\ files to the pc and then use "Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/)" to find them):

To Hex-Edit them is supposed that it has full writing permissions on Z:\ so if it has full writing permissions it should be able to replace and evene create new files into ROM or I'm wrong?

You are right, your .dll is smaller than ours and they can't be found there. Maybe if you back up all your files from z:\ and then search it through Total Commander like this:

Download the applicable RAR file for you phone and extract the contents to a folder. You can check out your phone model HERE (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=388124&stc=1&d=1209491560). Transfer the TRK SIS file to your phone and install it to phone memory. Make sure Nokia PC Suite is not running. Now connect your phone to PC using the USB cable in PC Suite mode.

By default TRK starts in Bluetooth mode, cancel it. Then go to Options->Settings and set then as shown below. When done TRK will show connected.

Now find out the port number of your phone USB connection from the device manager. (Tip: Start Menu->Run->devmgmt.msc). In the following image it is COM4 for my N73.

If no errors occured, you will find a new application ROMPatcher in your phone's Applications folder (Do not start it yet). Now close the RPinstaller application on your PC. Exit from the TRK on your phone and then disconnect the cable and reboot your phone.

HOW TO APPLY PATCHES
Make the folder E:\Patches on your phone. All the supplied/future patches should be copied into this folder. Patch files are simple text files you can open in any text editor.

To disable caps (same as CapsOff): Select Options->Disable caps
To enable caps (same as CapsOn) : Select Options->Enable caps

I dont know is this was before but anyway here is my experience...In my N95 V.21 i have the old hack over the PC .And everything is working well. That was 15 days ago...Now i downloaded a Rompatcher.sis and connect my phone over cable to Nokia PC suite and install it. I made a folder in E:Patches and copy patch into it. Started Rompatcher and everything is working great. No restart on exit and no problems at all.Thaks to everybody who make this possible. Hope that this will somehow help the ones who have problems. Hi guys, Ive been trying to get this to work all day. Useing n95 8gb version. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong.

I get App TRK connected and open ROMpatcher. I locate the port and press install. I get this message

The phone reboots, i try again over and over and the same thing. I tryed useing the python method, that didnt work either.

Mate if a signed JAD file is available for any JAVA app, then always use it then the prompts won't bother you ;)

Does this hack or the Caps Enable/Disable from ROMPATCHER change the product code or any other important info from phone? I wanted to update the firmware of my e65 but phone is no longer recognized. I also did restore factory settings but still no luck. It has to do with this hack as i just installed some java games after upgrading last time. Any help/info much appreciated.

No the hack doesn't mess up any of these things. It is completely safe to use. I guess the problem is with NSU. Try these simple steps:

yeah, thanks. Found on good old google that nokia took off the newest firmware for e65 and makes nsu not recognize the phone. grrrr... my phone is now totally messed as i restored factory settings and the backup wont go back to phone mem.:( time to wait i guess.

Disable caps is only required when you need access to system folders.
The above two steps are not required to sign & install the apps.

patches are for some changes in your cell....the only things you need to access C drive and private folders is rompatcher to disable caps. if you want to install unsigned application you need rompatcher and mobilesigner (signsis 1.03) and obviously the file 0000001.dat in the right place!

Yes TRK can be uninstalled any time and is not required by ROMPatcher to function. To uninstall ROMPatcher, install it again using the SIS & instructions posted on first page ;)

E51 is FP1 phone. Download the right package for your model.

hey can any one tell me how can we patch our phone to work like TEMS or almost like it ?

1. Enter *#0000# and remember the RM-XXX code you see.
2. Make a file sw.txt in e:\resource\versions\
3. Enter your own text here, if you want go line down write \n (you can see 3 lines max) and at the last line write RM-XXX (XXX=your phone code), and save the file in unicode format.
4. Activate patch and have fun :excited:.

Warning: text cannot be as long as you want, i don't know how many letters you can write max. See for yourself.
Warning2: if you won't write your RM code, some applications maybe not work (for example pyMoneta).
Warning3: remember to save file in UNICODE format!

Example if you want text:
I
Love
IPMart

Write:
I\nLove\nIPMart\nRM-XXX

Patch are in attachment.

u must download Pre-FP1 devices rar file and do it again without changing any value r add on the pc just connect it to the phone open the metroTRK
and install the the patch important thing is that com port check ur com port on ur pc of ur phone and write the same comport in th ripinstaller and intall it
