[Only registered and activated users can see links]
You don’t need a computer to make free calls anymore. Use 3 Skypephone instead. It’s a stylish mobile phone that calls, texts and takes pictures like you’d expect it to – but wait, there’s more – you can call and instant message your friends on Skype, free.
* Everything you’d expect from a mobile.
* Sign into Skype and make free calls to anyone else on Skype.
* Send free instant messages on Skype too.
* No computer necessary.
Skype have just released a new skype mobile beta. Its a java application and very similar to the version on the 3skypephone.
Presence and Chat are handled over the data connection, but when you want to call the app calls a local number.

NickHell 25th April 2008, 03:02 omg we were waiting for the years for skype for S60 phones and then they are releasing a java application. It sucks. Skype promised an S60v3 version but now what is that? I hope they will release a real symbian OS version. Or it won't worth even install it there are lots of program can provide skype on it and much better than a suck java apps.
Morphy.G 25th April 2008, 04:30 did you read it:
How much does it cost?
Call Skype contacts
The cost of a local or national call on your mobile (or use your inclusive minutes).
???
its not free, between skype accounts
frriction 25th April 2008, 07:28 better to download fring for sype it also enclude gtalk, yahoo, msn etc. we can also make call to gtalk buddies it works for me on n95 8gb. it works with wifi and 3g connection so it only uses data transfer.
germed 25th April 2008, 11:46 cant call so worthless use fring much better
mafijozo 25th April 2008, 11:57 I am really dissapointed, it isn't even VOiP program, it calls a local number when you're trying to talk... And when you are recieving a call, even if from one of your Skype contacts, it spends your Skype Out credit... It sucks, go Fring..
shaikh7538 25th April 2008, 12:09 this is really a good application

johnmacca 26th April 2008, 12:34 Have to join the growing list of why bother to install this use fring instead here.
cingolat 26th April 2008, 12:56 the only advantage on using this app is that you can add or delete contacts on skype, with fring you cannot.......however fring is much better!!!!!

watership 27th April 2008, 01:25 downloaded from skype itself looks good but i also use iskoot which seems to have nicer graffics , the symbian version though is not as nice as the windows mobile version i hope they improve that as it should be as good on our cool phones :)
holts 27th April 2008, 10:49 :thanks: I think we're looking for this...
Antilag 27th April 2008, 12:30 This application is a one big mistake. I don't know how do they want to compete with fring.
mikiforum 4th May 2008, 00:01 You are stupid!
Why would anyone compeete with Fring?
Skype lounched it's own software, that's it.
Why fould I pay for ****in' Fring, if I only use Skype?
Get it?
mk1311 11th May 2008, 12:29 mikiforum you are stupid. why would you pay for fring when its free?
dumbass.
