Hi to all.
I had just upgraded my device (O2 Atom Exec) from its original WM5 ROM to:
Xda Atom Exec WM6.1 OS 5.2.19199 Build 19199.1.0.5 by abusalz.
After which, I spent hours searching for compatible Chinese font and SIP, and had the following findings.
1) CEstar and a SPECIFIC version of its sunglobe.cab Chinese font had conflict with WM6.1 and does not allow Windows Live Messenger to function properly (cannot use Wifi or GPRS to connect).
Take note, the mentioned sunglobe.cab font patch was posted in one of the threads in this forum, and I personally discourage the usage of it with WM6.
2) Monster Chinese occasionally causes the phone to hang and reduces system performance.
I had found 3 ways to enable viewing of Chinese in text messages, Pocket IE, and messenger without any conflict with windows live services.
Method 1 (works with all devices and WM 5/6)
Step1: unzip the rar archive to any location on your desktop. Move all the 3 files from your PC to your WM device using your preferred way (e.g. active sync). The 3 files are:
(i) SunglobeChineseFont(WM6).cab
(ii) WinCE_nls.cab
(iii) Fontlink.reg
Step 2: Install the SunglobeChineseFont(WM6).cab I provided in the archive to enable Chinese viewing for text message and file explore etc. This version that I provides DOES NOT have any conflict with Windows Live Messenger.
Step3: Install WinCE.nls to enabled Chinese encoding support in IE and Messenger. I have provided this file in a .cab format. Just install as how you normally would install a .cab format file.
Step 4: Browse to the location on your device which you had moved the unzipped files using any file explorer (E.g Resco Explorer). Double click on Fontlink.reg to import those settings into your device in order associate Chinese font with your device.
Step5: Soft Reset

Method 2: O2 Chinese Plus (mainly for O2 devices)
It is a Chinese font support for WM5 and WM6 taken off a China website. Support Chinese viewing in text message and IE. Small file size and works pretty well. NO conflict with Windows Live Messenger as well. After installation of O2ChinesePlus.cab, perform a soft reset.

Method 3: echinaNo5x.cab (mainly for WM5)
This Chinese font patch is big in size and hence I would recommend you to check to ensure sufficient storage capacity in your device. Install the cab and do a soft reset. However, this .cab is more stable with WM5 rather than WM6. For WM6 users, please only use this method if the above 2 methods failed.

Lastly to be able to input Chinese characters in your device, you need to install a SIP keyboard. I personally recommend either one of the below SIP:
1) PlumSIP V6.0.0011.CAB (beta 2)
2) ZTA4_PPC2005_QVGA_SIP_v2.0.14.cab
