Guys, if I use the file (from beta) WorldWide_v142_Demo_2008_02_01.lic and today's date, the software runs and quits. Even when I change the date, still the same...

I thought that the .exe was already cracked--anyone having news on this?

I am running it on Mio P550 so perhaps it's not cracked for this type of devices.

Download the buildings rename it as building and put them in to content
Download voices rename it as Voice and put them in to content

Copy the folder Igo 8 and the folder 2577 in to the route of your memory card and when you insert the memory card in your PDa it will install by it self.

After installing in your PDa go to file explorer, go to my device, programs, igo 8 and change the igo.exe with the crack.

If you follow that it will work perfect, Tested on HTC p3000

You have to put the buildings 3d files in content/building otherwise it wont recognise the buildings, the programe will work without them but it wont show the buildings during the journey.
About the speedcams i dont know because i haven't tested it, but i think it wont work.

Ok! I did but i guess that there's not alot of buildings where i live :) because i cant see any at all, is it just big cities and old churches that are shown or what? :)

About the speedcams i dont know because i haven't tested it, but i think it wont work.

Hi!

The buildings are just for points of intrest like old monuments, stadiums etc... But i thing they will show only in big cities because i tested it in my country which is portugal and only in lisbon it shows the buildings.

I suspected that! :)
Well i have to make a demo drive into Stockholm or Malmoe or another big Swedish city then :)

Can someone tell me where to put the skin i found for iGO?

NOW i know WHY my buildings is not working, the 3dc file is missing.
I looked inside the folder with all my downloaded buildings of different countries and noticed that all of them had 2 files but the Swedish one. :)

In category chose road safety, chose de country (ex: portugal) than radar-speed check points, download and in that page you see GPS Poi download Format than download the igo 8 txt format at the buttom of the page and put that file in to content/speedcam.

In this site you can download POIS and Speedcams for most navigatores like Igo 8, Tomtom etc... you just have to chose the Country, the type of Poi you want and at the end you can chose the type of navigator you using.

Because to turn igo 8 in to mode landscape i think the programe igo 8 has to be installed in or ppc and than you have to go to settings in your ppc, display and change the display to landscape.

You dont need to register to download the files. This is in order on how you should do it.
This is an example for the uk Red_Light_Cameras:

Than just select the Igo 8 txt format and done.

I've gotten it working fine now. Despite my XDA throwing a right wobbler.
The only thing I can't get to work is the speed camera files. They appear to be txt files.
Is there a .txt to .poi converter I need or maybe I have them installed wrong?

Was quite a fan of 2006 but does anyone else feel 08's is not as good?
Used it all day yesterday. It seemed to completely lose an entire village I drove around. Just showed as a field and I was in the middle of nowhere. This isn't a new village (U.K BTW) but an historic one. Birthplace of our greatest ever P.M and ancestral home of the Spencer family. Conversely, it did show me as being on a road when I was driving through the middle of a field (parking up for a craft Country/Craft fair).
It STUBBORNLY refuses to recalculate a better route even when other apps realize you are going home via a shorter/better/quicker route. It still seemed detirmined to force it's chosen route on me even past the point when there was no way in this world it could possibly be better than going in the direction I was heading.
It also tried to make me drive directly through the shopping precinct of my home town. An area that is not even open to traffic, never mind the fact there isn't a road.
Finally it seems to update slower than 2006 or TomTom. I can be over a roundabout and down the road when the screen still shows me back at a junction.

hope only u got this problem. I must go EU trip again and I count on igo8. Hope speedcams are good at least like in beloved miomap3.2

What do u mean? Get in Settings> GPS, tick the GPS. Mine is on comm2 baud 57600. Or tick the icon in bottom, right corner for autotunning.

U'r sure your GPS is working? In other programmes it is ok?

China does exist, but it only works with a special software version that I saw with dead links. China maps dont work with generic igo8 versions.

I saw the map at the turtuk site, but I dont have a link now.
