To record calls without any hassles and also have a copy of it on the PC, I use this combination.

Motoblast PMRecorder for Windows Mobile ... on the PocketPC
copy cab to PocketPC and install.

PMRBackup Converter ... on the PC
Extract and Copy the folder into Program files Folder and create a shortcut on the desktop.
download screenshots to have a pictorial view of how to..

Motoblast PMRecorder for Windows Mobile
If you would like phone calls to be recorded, choose the Record all checkbox. The application will automatically record every phone call that you place or receive.
To be prompted when you choose to delete calls, choose the Confirm Deletes checkbox.
To record your calls using compressed audio (we *highly* recommend this), choose the Compress Audio checkbox.
Your call recordings are saved to a directory on your phone. We recommend that you choose your \Storage Card to save the audio of the calls. In compressed format, the calls take about 100k per minute. If you choose to save them to your phone's default storage memory, you will need to archive them often and delete them. Saving the calls to the \Storage card will allow you to have more calls accessible from your phone. You may change the default directory where your calls are saved by selectingMenu->Data directory... to choose an alternate directory. The PMRecorder application will stop recording audio if your available storage gets below the value selected in the Leave at least [x] MB free text box. We recommend you set this to 2MB or more so that your phone does not run low on memory to run other applications.
If you would like PMRecorder to automatically archive your calls every so often, select the Auto-archive recordings checkbox and enter how many hours to wait between auto-archive operations in the Archive every [x] hours textbox. Calls are archived to the 1800message.com site
If you leave the Upload new items only checkbox selected, each time your calls are archived to the 1800message.com site, only the new calls will be saved.
Be sure to select the Save soft key to save your settings. Choose Menu->Cancel to cancel your changes.

I don't use the archive function, instead I copy it from \Storage Card\PMVault\Calls to PC and then use PMRecorder Converter to convert them to wave.
Pictures of my settings are in the Screenshot.rar file

The usage is very simple and hassle free.
If you want PMRecorder to start automatically whenever you restart the PocketPC create a shortcut in the startup folder.

Tested and running perfectly on HTC Touch, HTC 3300 and O2 Stealth

call recorders DO NOT work on most HTC pocket pc's,you can only record your part of the conversation but if you want to record the caller's voice you will have to put the phone in speaker mode and even then you will have a somewhat distorted recording.
The only PPC which i ever had that enabled normal call recording was the Eten X500.

i have been using this on HTC touch and 3300 and the O2 stealth for quite some time, and i use it normal not on speakerphone. the only bug i have come across is when i used it on the stealth together with the answering machine, the caller is able to hear whatever is spoken this side till he terminates the call...could be pretty embarassing! :)
