How the hell do I install RomPatcher? Please prv me, I'm going crazy with this :((

I have a Nokia N73 ME and have TRK installed but when I try to install using ROM Patcher i get this;

Ping metroTRK...
Bad ping response. May be wrong port or TRK not running on device
Disconnect...

The port is correct, my checkaddr: CheckAddr=60000148
Can someone help me please.

1. Download ROMPatcher that suit to your phone. For N80 and N73 is ROMPatcher_pre_FP1.rar (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=394886&d=1210743102) 2. Extract it on your PC in same place(4 files) then transfer the s60_3_0_App_Trk_2_7.sisx to your phone and install it on phone memory 3. Connect your phone to PC in PC Suite mode and Do not run PC Suit, just connect your phone 4. Find out your phone com port number on your PC from start menu-->Run-->Devmgmt.msc or my computer->properties->under hardware tab->device manager->ports(you'll find your phone there) 4. If you find it, Open App Trk on your phone, cancel when it asks to connect via bluetooth, change the setting to connect via USB. Don't change another setting, just connection setting 5. On PC, run RPInstaller.exe, fill COM box with your phone's com port number then click install. Done!! Note: No need to edit the string on RPInstaller.ini. Swankyleo has edited it to make us easier.

help guys. i followed the instructions and everything was going smoothly until the last 2 steps. i was already able to transfer the 00000001.rar file to my memory card but i can't extract it to my c: drive. when i checked drive c, there was already a resource folder in it which i don't know how it got there in the 1st place. im online thru ym pm me at mecsmen@yahoo.com. thanks

I have tried phone memory and card memory but all the time I get "no data" in the folder. Is this because it will only look for .sis and not .sisx files?

hey infadict you said it right, mobile signer will only detect sis files and no sisx files . So renaming sis files and things would work find . You could also unsign the sisx to sis . It should also work then .

I don't think it works with the newest firmwares, say e51, 200.34.36 (24.04.2008).
And be careful with installing crack files, I crashed my phone and had to flash it. it basically died.
Any easier solutions for hacking the newest firmwares would be appreciated!

I just succesfully applied the hack for this.

But previously, I had also applied another hack. The one which i paste Installservices.exe to c:\sys\bin

1)Does it will conflict each other ?

2)Secondly, If i restart my phone, do i need to re-do all these patches again ?

3)After I applied all these hack, can i delete those application such as eg SecMan, HelloCarbie<TRK ,RomPatcher ? Is it must to keep them in my phone ?

1). There's no conflict each other. With installerserver.exe you'll able to install all unsigned apps. No prompt message certificate error, etc 2).if you restart your phone, this hack still exist. If you wanna access n edit your private, sys folder just turn platform security off or disable caps. 3).yes you can unistall those apps. If you wanna install them, just find those apps on their respective threads

N78 not hackable :-( Anybody has any idea if the FP-2 phones can be hacked or if somebody is working on it. I would like to know otherwise I stick with my N95-8gb

Emonty there's nothing as un-hackable . Try drakkarious signer or some other method or hello carbide2 or binpda's root sign,etc. Don't worry you're phone will be hackable for sure . People like swankyleo and fca and leftup are there to address this problem . Although i've not tried any of the above methods . You should also try to use secman among above stated methods . Something will definitely work .

Friend , installserver.exe enables all files whether signed or unsigned to be installed . While hacking is not a signing method . You cannot use installserver.exe without hacking your phone . Hacking a phone only grants capability to view and edit all system critical files and folders . While signing authenticates the file is safe for installation on phones . But now we sign anything and everything so it's meaningless now .
And no we don't have to disable caps when using signsis . It's only when YOU need access to system files . Applications with certain built-in capabilities can readily access all files . So hack your phone straight away then decide on which method to follow . I hope all doubts are cleared . If not we all are here to help each other . Enjoy and don't worry :D.

Ok sorry boss i got it all wrong . Now , maybe installserver.exe allows you to install only unsigned files or maybe it's because your phone doesn't have a certificate that was used to sign the file . Just complete swanky's hack and then try . Maybe it works . Or head straight to my thread called opensigned your apps here and then download a signed version from there . Maybe that will work . But you need to complete swanky's procedure first . C'mon man don't get mad at me . I'm just trying to help . If you don't want me to do so for you just say it i'll stay a mile away ;). Nowaday i faced problem installing software as it prompt "Cert error contact supplier". In fact the software has been signed , y i face this problem? well ofcourse illusion already stated that this file works with " Hacked phones" that means the Previous cert n key won't work to install this application coz this application makes use of higher capablities which the cert from symbiansigned can't !

Snxper, try browsing your C:\ Drive with X-plore. I got a similar mess except it said that that particular dir already exists.

I also had another message about another file that I tried to install saying that it is "inbuilt" and is already in there.

I suggest you to use Any Hacking Method that you feel easy..i find " BiNPDA" method of hacking easy...
Just use " Installserver.exe" after you finished Hacking..
You don't have to sign anything then..
any kind soul willing to guide me in hacking my phone, I tried 100 of times but in no avail. Very boring la, i can't install many good software. I can sign the software, but when i tried installing it. I will definitely get cert error or from untrusted supplier. SOS!!!

Copy the 00000001.rar file to your phone. In X-plore, browse to the file and open it.
Then press 4 to extract and select C: as destination.

Hack your phone and turn caps off . This should solve the error m8 . Should you have further error i'm there to help . You may also follow farhazadeeb's advice . Binpda's Secman is indeed one of the simplest ways to hack a phone even i think the same farhaz ;).

thx, caps were on ... so I got the "create-error-message". Now I can sign a lot of programs. But installation of Handy Weather (cracked by Illusion) doesn`t work. No problem to sign the programm, but then I got another error ....
Installation not possible because trusted owner ... and so on.
I would like use this program ;) but now I don`t know what I can do anymore ... anyone have an idea?

Ps: send me the files which you want me to sign , not the ones which you've signed . I'll see to it that it works . There are several people who've got trouble with illusion's files . But i've learnt how to tackle them :D . But i need to check them first .

I suggest you to use Any Hacking Method that you feel easy..i find " BiNPDA" method of hacking easy...
Just use " Installserver.exe" after you finished Hacking..
You don't have to sign anything then..

how come i miss this direction before..

after reinstalling my n82, got the "certificate error" message, and i've tried several hours finding out what's gone wrong. tried this one, the binpda, and finally
copied the "installserver.exe" to c:/sys/bin, and everything just worked like charm. just like before.

@swankyleo, if possible, perhaps you should add the installserver.exe step to the tutorial? great tutorial though. :D

That's not a problem . Just use 100 or 1234 or 0000 (or something the person who provides these files mentions in his thread . You'll also find the same in the package in which you found your files). Anyway you could have asked something like that to me via pms or via visitor messages . This is a different topic .

at last i hacked my phone!!!! thanks to opix_manis and swankyleo, everything becomes simpler... to u guys who get an error in connection juz as what i have xperienced, i forgot to update the "comport" inside the rpinstalle*.ini! so have it changed guys before running the trk and rpinstaller.exe...

now, i have a question, if 00000001.rar is updated should i copy it again in my memory card and extract it again in 'c:'? should i replaced the old or previous 00000001.rar installed with the updated one?

hey senok congrats on your success . I'd recommend you to use the updated 0000001 file as it contains additional certs from binpda as well as those of leftup . So you get two cert capabilities in one package . In case you differ from what i think you may keep your existing files but the newer cert gives your phone access to files which are signed with binpda's certs too :)

Im scared that this device is too new:) They have started to sell it in the beginning of 2008. Anyway I've checked, it has: Symbian OS 9.2 with S60 3.1, or from another source Symbian S60 3rd Edition Version 3.1 and is in principle the same, producer of operating system is Nokia.
That's why I cannot get it why it is not working in my case but in case of Nokias works mostly without any problem....

which handset are you using . Is it a s60 v3 phone . Which firmware . Do specify all details . Rather add them to your profile so we need not keep asking for it . I'm not sure this setup will work in s60 v3 phones . Anyway give complete information and then let's see what we can do ;)

Anyway tell me which file installation troubles you , the mobile signer installation or the file you signed gives you the installation error . This info will be the basis of how i or anyone else can help you . Have a nice day ;)

Is the file I signed gave me problem but I successful installed for the first & uninstall due to some problem of the software so I thought uninstall & reinstall will be a better choice. In the end, tried to install for the 2nd attempt it fail with error message.

Oh i get it . uninstalled everything or something . I mean did you remove the 0000001 file too . check it . sometimes it's a possibility that this might be the case too . you never know . If it's missing even after the install , place it there irrespective of whether it's there or not . Seconly check the folder named ec....... where you placed the cert.cer and key.key file and replace them with the ones downloaded from the first post .
Anyway , if nothing works , just undo the procedure , i mean verifying each and every step and file . then re-do the whole procedure .

Under the first case i'll also recommend you hack your phone using secman patched by swankyleo . It will install the cert correctly in case you are not able to do so .
If the error persists , we are all there to tackle this problem . Don't hesitate to come back m8 ;)

I tried already, It still give me error. I install IVCM v2.21. I just I make a mess on the phone & cause not able to install. Or should I do a hard reset of the phone? If yes, what is the code to do the hard reset? Let me know.

The 0000001 file is inside the C:\RESOURCE\SwiCertstore\dat folder.
Is there a file needed in C:\SYS\BIN folder?
cert.cer & key.key file is inside C:\Private\EC696702.

I'll recommend you just use secman repacked by swankyleo once and install it's root cert . Then you'll never have any trouble i'm telling you . It won't ask you for password . If it does type in aloycasmir . In secman app on phone , turn caps off .
See the 000001 file in the archive . Extract the 000001 file from the 000001.rar file to c:\resources\swicertstore\dat\(here). If this file is already present there , just overwrite it . Then mark the 000001 file as read only from your any file browser on your phone . Do the same for "dat" and "swicertstore" folders in the sequence . Now turn caps on and then reboot your phone(not necessary but recommended)
All done , just install any file you have signed . Or send your files to me via email if you're not sure you've signed it properly ;)

And in any case these hacks are reversible . In case of secman just click on options > uninstall secman . It's that simple . Besides a root cert is in no way harmful as long as you know what you're doing ;)

are you using installserver.exe . This error is common when using that file . If you are delete it from your c:\sys\bin .

hi guys small problem, ive already hacked the firmware of my friends N77 we can install cracked apps with no probs, but my friend upgraded the firmware and now i want to hack the firmware again, upon installing rom patcher/app trk i get the error "error component is built in" is there any way to solve this? many thanks guys

hey m8 it took me 10 mins when i knew nothing . My phone was 1 month old and i had no past knowledge(not even a bit , well some 5 months back) and yes you only need to read and try to understand . It certainly can't be made any simpler . Just think you're finding this hard . What the people who made it might have put in :)
They wouldn't have any tutorial in place . They too might have bricked several phones till they came up with this method :lol:

Hi, all the above steps can't be executed in my E66. What's wrong ???? I installed the rompatcher (autorun) because the manual installations listed here didn't work for me. I can't install the trk.sis file. It prompted me halfway during installation saying "unable to install". What should I do ?????? I went through your post on hacking your phone and I would like to say that it is a great post.

I was able to hack my N73 in no time but when I tried to do so on my E65 it does not allow me to complete the last step and says "Cannot create resource Directory". Would really appreciate if you could advice on the same.

I actually also wish to add that a sis version of rom patcher is also available on our wonderful forum :ilove:. Use search to find 'rom patcher' and try to find it out yourselves . This does not require app trk installation hence should work on most phones ;)

whew, a new n95 8gb on orange, and I was determined to crack it without resorting to violence, followed the tutorial faithfully, came up hard against the installation of other stuff, you know what I mean, oh just go here to install this, when you get there you find oh you have to install that to install this, but never the less got through it with this guide

Hmmm , n96 is not fp2 , it's different :lol: . It has not yet been hacked , but will hopefully be hacked soon

Hi (N95 8GB user)

I was wondering if someone could help me with this step:
"Now browse to the file C:\resource\swicertstore\dat\00000001. Press 6 & enable the Read-only attribute for it."

I managed to hack the phone and sign applications. I set the file 00000001, dat and swicertstore to Read Only with X-Plore browser.
However, when restarting the phone and attempting to sign an application and then installing it, it says that there is a certificate error. When I browsed to the file 00000001 it seems that the Read Only setting has gone but only for the file and not for the folders.
It looks like the OS replaces this file on startup even though the file is set to read only.

Is there anything I can do to set the file so that the OS wont replace that file even on startup?

Turning caps off , unmark all mentioned folders as read only . Then place the 000001 file in c:/swicertstore/dat/[here]
Then mark the 000001
File read only .
Then mark dat folder as read only , then swicert... In this exact sequence

I tried it accroding to the above description and still, it looks like the OS still replaces that file. Dat and Swicertstore directories remain as read-only but the 000001 file is being replaced.

Any other suggestions?

my advice is that hack your phone by Drakkarious Method from here

by hacking u could intall any signed/unsigned file to ur phone.

U need to turn CapsOff because after turning CapsOff u could see private files and folders which were hidden by Nokia.
but after doing ur work Caps it On(CapsOn) to avoid errors to come.

One other question about the other method of signing using Installserver.exe, can it do any demage to the OS if I use the other method after I copied that file into c:/sys/bin? Do I have to remove the 0000001, and uninstall SignSis before that?

No that's not a problem , two hacks or two different signing methods can coincide on one single phone without any conflicts bro .
Eg - i've got secman and rom patcher both on my phone complementing each other :lol:

The purpose of this is to install a certificate onto your phone and let you install anything you want using that certificate

You installed sign sis application . Use it to sign stuff on phone itself ;)
It will sign stuff and place the signed file in the same folder as the unsigned file.
It will be the same as your unsigned file . Only the extension will change from .sis to .sisx

Lastly , no you'll never need to change dates back and forth after this tutorial ;)

Can anyone here guide me how to hack my nokia 5320XM ??? Software version 03.08. I already try to do the same method to hack N95 but it failed. My Nokia Maps also not function. Cannot open application.

I've followed all instructions and the hack works perfectly!
After that I've been able to install Nokia Maps, Kaspersky AV and etc. applications which was not possible before the hack.

N82 v20 and under vers are hackable.

1st. you need to put caps off, then go to xplore or any other file-explorer and navigate to e:/private/10202dce and delete all files in it. And your all done :)
Now go and try to reboot..
