I have updated the root cert file 00000001.rar and now it includes both - Leftup & BiNPDA certificates. This means that from now on you will not have to sign any BiNPDA release before installing. :partyman:

TO SIGN ANY UNSIGNED APP USING SIGNSIS:
- Open SignSIS and select unsigned SIS file by pressing middle joystick button.
- Select Selfsign from Options menu.
- The signed file will be placed in the same folder with a SISX extension.

To sign your apps on a PC, you should use the cert & key from Leftup_CertKey.rar with your favorite signing tool.

First of all why are you mixing up things? How does CapsOff come into picture in this thread? If you have a YM or MSN ID then PM me. It will be more easier to troubleshoot in a real-time session..

Have your tried with signsis...pls try. Did you get any error when enabling the readonly attribute on the 00000001 file in the specified path. Check it again is it enabled?

The only limitation for you will be that you won't be able to use the advanced patches feature of ROMPatcher. But don't worry it is not required for this hack ;)

People just won't read and proceed by the tutorial ...I have to agree...this is a major problem, but afraid there is nothing one can do about it :)

@swankyleo, that man didn't hack his phone ... he just use provided .cer & key files on his PC ... and he think that is clever than us ... bliack ...

Well X-Plore should also work when Caps are disabled, don't know why you faced a problem. Anyways thanks for reporting it :good2:

well i think i have the same problem of SVR01, i disable caps, and go to X-plore, extract the folder to C: but i can't see the resources folder, so i tried extracting again and it says file already exist want to overwrite... yes, but i can't see it, i'm going to search the Y-browser SVR01 mentioned and i will try with it

run this hack_perms_s60v3_FP1.py and then reset your phone ( after that i can't do it with x-plore then use y-browser ( attach 3 on this post )

now i reach to private and sys with y-browser and now ready for all hack ...

Lol of cos.I've installed it.So app MoreCaps works.But kaspersky seems can't to.But you never mentioned this in your previous post. Please always post clearly so that others can understand well. I have just now transferred the unsigned KMS to my phone, signed it using MobileSigner and installed the signed SISX file...all went smooth.

Download again and extract it transfer to your phone.

Try PowerArchiver, it extracted all files without problem.

Mine's version 10.21.17 (not the newest, but still works fine)

WinZip is no longer my favourite software as it is less capable to unzip rar files than any other competitors... swap to PowerArchiver, you will not regret, and should solve the problem you are currently experiencing (and future rar files that you will come across).

Finally I was able to install the SignSis

Problem was in the Winzip software I use (I guess)
I tried to extract with Winrar and install it
it succeeded !

Many thanks!You no longer can install apps....what is the exact error you get? Also if you forgot to set the read-only attribute and have rebooted there are chances that the file has been corrupted. Extract that file again and then set it read-only. To get access to the system folders you have to disable caps from rompatcher options menu.

Following your advice it appears that if the fone is re-booted you need to ensure that:
1. ROMpatcher has CAPs disabled again.
2. file 00000001 is reset to read-only again.

SVR01 - I didn't try the patch change but will bear it in mind for future - I ensured that I had swankyleo instructions correct!

1. ROMpatcher has CAPs disabled again.
2. file 00000001 is reset to read-only again.
....
1. The caps need to be disabled only if you want to get read/write access to the system folders.
2. The file 00000001 has to be set read-only once and not on every reboot.

well i was a bit unlucky yesterday, i tried 3 different versions of the y-browser but no one worked in my phone, then i tried active file without success, but today i found that i just have to change some options with the x-plore and........................ success!!! it's working now jojo :dance: i tried with EQ restart, and it signed it, thanks a lot Swankyleo

after reboot i can run rom patcher and disable caps
i let it running coz if i exit rom patcher and it gets reboot again

so goto next step mobile signer
it shows me the success msg
but when i open .sisx file with file manager
i get the cert error.

I am new..How can I copy the 00000001.rar to my phone?
You can copy them using Nokia PC Suite. Connect your phone to computer & open up Nokia phone browser from inside My Computer. Your phone will be listed there, open it. Then browse to e: (Memory card) and copy the file there.

Do u choose self sign or sign coz u should choose selfsign . . Also maybe u didnt copy all the files needed or made the file read only . Just do the steps again to be sure everything is in place . . . For the rom patcher install the new one it doesnt reboot the phone . .

:arrow: First of all make sure you are indeed using the latest ROMPatcher updated on April 30th. It is working fine on all the phones including N95 8GB...no complaints at all.
:arrow: Also install the mobile signer available in the first post and not from other sources.
:arrow: If you get a "Certificate Error" while installing the signed apps that means you have failed to extract the 00000001.rar file as mentioned

Please check & confirm all these points and let me know :)

How To Remove Rompatcher,?Mate this isn't exactly the thread for ROMPatcher ;) Install it again using the SIS file and then you can uninstall it. Details are posted in the ROMPatcher post...If you have more queries about it, then please post there :D

First - You get an easy way of signing the apps if you don't have a devcert. You can also install apps available FOR HACKED PHONES...this is not possible with a devcert.
Second - You also get full access to system files & folders, so you can customise your phone as you like by applying the various hacks & tricks.

No you don't need to disable the caps in ROMPatcher to install the apps signed with this method.

You can safely upgrade your firmware anytime...no problems at all :)

no, you dont need any patch to sign unsigned applications. you need rompatcher,disable caps, and need to have the 0000001.dat file in c/resource/swicertstore/dat folder

No the patches are not required to sign & install the apps. You need to sign the app using the self-signing option from mobile signer. Make sure you have installed the mobilesigner (signsis) from the first post.

Why try all the ports...weren't you able to locate your port in Device Manager?
Does the USB connection for your phone work fine otherwise?
Is TRK showing "Connected" as in the image in the tutorial?

You can sign the apps on your mobile too using Mobile Signer from the first post. If you want to sign app on PC then you should use the key & cert in Leftup_CertKey.rar

No error messages at all. installed fined (so it looks) wont open wen you select the icon of the programme in the applications menu.

I haven’t tried the tutorial yet I did what I mentioned above nothing more. I thought the pc only signing would work by it self.

Some members had already hacked their phones using the old FCA hack. You should do the PC method using RPInstaller.

mY 6120 restart after running installed rom patcher from usb port using RPInstaller.exe. So here the solution. Install ROMPatcher_by_Zorn_Unofficial_SIS_1_0_1 ON YOUR PHONE MEMORY. After that there will be no restart.

Secondly your phone restarted because you didn't care to use the TRK included in the archive in my post. This SIS can only be installed on already hacked phones.

On my N95 V21 always restarts the phone, tried all and always the same, i´ll keep it as it is for now, i can sign aplications and it´s not so urgent.

On my N95 8Gb, as instructed here, I just
1. Installed x-plore then changed the settings.
2. Installed rom-patcher then disabled caps - now I can see sys subdirectories with x-plore.
3. Extracted 000001.rar in c:\ (not possible without step 2). Then made it read-only.
4. Succesfully self-signed my sis files!!!

5. Select enable caps after using. Just disable it again when patching or self-signing.

The other possible cause of restarting is that you have installed the pre-FP1 version. Use the FP1 version.

open .sis file with unSis 2.5 and extract it to pc. look in c/unsis/temp folder and see where the files go when it are installed on the phone and make it manually..take the files from the pc to the phone and that's all :) put your date at april 2008.

I have updated the root cert file 00000001.rar and now it includes both - Leftup & BiNPDA certificates. This means that from now on you will not have to sign any BiNPDA release before installing. :partyman:

This also saves you from the trouble of installing it manually as described HERE (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=254531) and also in their release NFO files.

I think it won't work on i550w, coz you need trk to do hacking and trk licensed to nokia. So the hack is not available for samsung symbian phones yet

So far i have tried other hacks which worked on firmware 20 but they are not working on latest firmware. Any idea what i can do.

Do u have 95 with latest firmware 21.0.016 ? i could hack my phone before when i had v20 firmware. I can't even connect app trk to pc which keeps on restarting my phone. If app trk works i could hack in 2mins.

dude.. click on the blank space.. it will ask where the file is stored.. remember the location.. or first browse with the file manager.. see if its in phone memory or card..

I don't know what is wrong!!! With previous firmware ( 2.0633.65.01 ) mobile signer worked super!! Now nothing. The file is there(memory card), i see it with x-plore or phone file manager, but i can't find it with mobile signer!!!:confused:

To sign your apps on a PC, you should use the cert & key from Leftup_CertKey.rar with your favorite signing tool.

Hey mate . This method will work but binpda's ip a better one . It allows you to control when to apply platform security and when to disable it . That's a huge plus point . You turn platform security on and things are back to normal as they are supposed to be . It doesn't go away when you restart the phone . Only when you tell it to in away .

gjenerali ... That is just really to view all files. You need something like OPDA's root cert hack so you can sign any app. Thats if it is possible, as N93 hacking is pretty new

It happened with my n95 8gb too . I tried to repeat the procedure with my pre-downloaded files . It didn't work . I downloaded a fresh copy and it's working again now . Let me know if things work out for you too .

I'm just relating my incidence . I mean try overwriting the files mentioned with the same downloaded files and marking them as read only . That should solve your problem . hello buddy . you dont need metro trk for that too
you have to do everything the normal way .
Only don't connect metrotrk
Metrotrk connection results in transfer of file directly to phone .
But it's just too slow .
instead don't connect it .
It will give you option of extracting it to pc .
just do it .
you've got it on pc . transfer it to phone as anything normally you would have .
Then install it whilst platform security is off and binpda certs are installed .

you need use Leftup_CertKey for mobile signer, and use "sign" not "selfsign" cos "selfsign" not work for me :hehe:

You must have done something wrong . Were capabilities turned off . Did You mark all the concerned files as read only . Did you download correct files . If answer to any one is no . Then do so after you have repeated the whole process completely . If not . Post reply aptly so i may be able to help you . Hope i'm helpful . Thanks

just apply 00000001 root cert on correct place. Its binpda root cert included. Download at 1st page. @atocruz, follow the instruction from swankyleo on 1st page carefuly..

@swankyleo, sir i need help plz... im using an n80 fon and i encountered problem when i was already using the rompatcher... i installed the trk application in ur post on my cards fon and open it there, it says im connected but when i run the rpinstaller.exe from the pc it returns an error and it says bad ping and im not connected and it disconnects... i copied the rpinstaller.ini on 'e:'... also when i run rpinstaller the com has a default value of 9 and i changed it to 1 coz the trkapp on my fon says im using com1, am i correct? im a juz greenhorn and im sorry for my idiocy sirs.... any one can help me?
also, when i run trkapp its asking if i want to open bluetooth but i changed its setting to usb, am i correct changing it to usb coz im using pcsuite?

No, you were wrong mate.. For default, AppTrk will give us com1. Don't change it. Connect your phone to PC in PC Suite mode then run AppTRK on your phone. don't run PC Suite. On PC, find out the port number of your phone USB connection from device manager.[tip: start menu->run->devmgmt.msc]. If you find it then run RPInstaller.exe on PC that suit for your phone and enter the port number of your phone.. That's it. So no need to change port on AppTrk. Just cancel it when tryng to connect via bluetooth and set the it to connect via USB
