ForecaWeather provides weather forecasts, current conditions and various weather animations for over 80.000 locations world-wide. You can configure what kind of weather information you want to download. There is also an option to insert weather forecasts in your phone calendar.

Requirements

You need an Internet/GPRS data subscription to be able to download the weather data. Contact your mobile operator for details and applicable fees. You can also use Wi-Fi connection, if your phone supports Wi-Fi.

Compatibility

ForecaWeather is designed for S60 3rd edition devices. We have tested the Nokia devices below but application may work on other S60 3rd edition devices as well.

Tested Nokia devices: 3250, 5500, 5700 XpressMusic, E60, E61, E61i, E65, E70, E90, N71, N73, N76, N80, N81 8GB, N82, N91, N93i, N95, N95 8GB, 6120 classic and 6110 Navigator.

Languages supported: English, German, French, Italian and Finnish

The app is unsigned and need to be signed before installing it...

Works great on my N82 and I love the fact that the information can be integrated and displayed on the standby screen in the calender view.

The animations for selections is really kool as well.

Works on N95 8GB like a charm but there are two things that are not good:
1) you can add only 4 locations
2) to delete a location you have to add a 5th location that substitute the 1st you added (First In Last Out list)

Nearly ... except inaccuracy of the weather in most of cases(i just test all 4 installed apps in my phone and conclude that Handy Weather is most accurate in forecast ... btw. WorldMate is the worst) ... and 100kb minimum for simple update(not animated one) of the 1 town ... this is to much ... i just stay on the HandyWeather 4.01 app that have possibility to add manual places, multilanguage, best lookin interface, MUCH CHEAPER UPDATE lasting 5 next day's...

P.S. i respect Illusion work on this forum and his effort, i believe that Illusion is the worth iPmart member since S60v1 apps ... but ... i cannot say something that i not agree with ... i just like to be honest.

After all Weather FORECAST is a matter of opinion ;)
And most of the time is wrong anyway :hehe:

However I agree that Foreca has a problem: it uses some arbitrary Weather Station (when the specif one for the city is not available) and in some cases the choice is odd: the place is quite far and in some cases it may be in another Country (!) :suicide:
They seem to have a limited set of wheater station available. The expansion of the city avalable it's therefore only apparent.
Also for Handy not all the location are in reality covered (see in the latest version where for a lot of cities current conditions are missing): previous versione (4.01) uses the same trick as Foreca: finding the nearest weather station. They seem anyway to have more weather staion available so the chance to find a correct one is increased.

The update exchanges more data because (even for a non animated one) it gives you more data. And they are not only fancy: it allows you to understand better the weather also for sorrounding areas :)
Try with Handy Weather to update also the maps and not only the city and you will see that the size is not different ;)
Anyway not a big problem if you have a flat rate data plan :)

The latest version of Handyw doesn't allow to add places manually; also Foreca has more languages then only English. Plus Foreca gives you MORE then 5 days forecast...

At the end it is a matter of preference about the interface and looks...

Agree with your comment, it's a matter of opinion ... Only significiant remark to Foreca i can add about this "update" method's:
If i open this application after few hours from the last update it asking for another update again and shown me "Current Condition 0°C" ---> THIS IS STUPID ... if i want to see something value in this window i must UPDATE AGAIN and spend another 100kb only after few hours ... this mean that in one day i can spend more than 1.5MB on this app ... this is too much!

You can disable the warning in Settings, Connection Warning and set it to No ;)

Or just leave the setting to Yes so when you start the program you can answer No at the prompt and the program won't update and you can see the old data (if they are recent you can save in this way a download :) )

Grrrr ... i know ... but if i set it to "No" it connect automaticaly and i always must cancel that connection if i don't want to update every hour and spend always over the 100kb for the single update.
Btw. "Long Forecast" i need and is working, BUT ... to get reach this tab i must few times click on "cancel" connection ... this is very annoying.

This app is just crazy about online connection and every hour update.:afraid: That is a fact.:(

yeah was cracked lol but the developer has fixed the bug already :D
i have a special version only for my personal use but won't post it coz of leechers like you that only download and never say thanks but they complain only if crack not working lol :)

I'm never happy about something before I try it ;)
I had Foreca before, it stopped updating, removed it. After I read your new post, tried it again. So far it's working fine. We'll see in few days. :)

I installed this on 19/6.. on 26/6 it gave me an error saying that the trial is over..

If i reinstall it again will it work for 7 more days, or for ever?
