1.unrar pack there you will find 101F8763.txt and Startup.mp3
2.put 101F8763 to С:/private/10202be9/101F8763.txt (maybe you will need to create new folder 10202be9)
3.put Startup.mp3 to E:\\Sounds\\Simple\\Startup.mp3
4.that's all now turn off you phone and turn on :excited: you will have new start-up sound. you may edit Startup.mp3 file but remember it must not be longer than 10 sec !!!

tested on my N73

if it doesn't work on you phone ,you may change manually
1.go to Z:/private/10202be9/ and copy 101F8763.txt
2.put it С:/private/10202be9/101F8763.txt
3.edit 101F8763.txt
you will find there
[Main] remember only change Z:\\Data\\Startup_tone.aac to E:\\Sounds\\Simple\\Startup.mp3

I would recommend that you use the file from your own phone. It might be different for all phones. Copy it from Z:/private/10202be9/101F8763.txt and edit it.

You can also copy your new startup sound file mp3/aac to any folder on C: or E:

My N95 is hacked, has custom op logo.... I switched Caps Off, but in X-Plore I am unable to create the folder, as I don't have permission. Files are all set to show, and the phone was originally hacked using original method with TRK. I tried to rehack it, but can't get TRK to connect now.

Anyone know whats up with it? Menu Editor works, and I think MoreCaps does too, but unsure about that.

i am on the same firmware , just remember symbian is unicode and e:\sounds is different from E:\Sounds so try to be as unique you can be in giving the path of the startup mp3 file :) and it will surely workout.

Same problem here with my E90: worked perfectly on the old firmware but after I upgraded it just doesn't work anymore - and I checked the settings many, many times....

With hacked fone's we don't need to sign app's to get them to install! and also we can give app's more capabilities than they would normally have on our os 9.1/9.2/9.3 type fones.
we can add patches to enable different things to happen like change where the fone looks for things to load. the fone usually looks to drive z (ROM) but it can be changed with a patch to look at drive c or e instead so we can alter stuff like startup sounds etc. :)

yes you can get it back, just delete the txt file you add to change the sound, the .txt file just tells the phone to look somewhere else for the sound, therefore if you delete the txt file the phone will look in the original place and play the nokia start up sound, just remember where you put the txt file:excited:

Its not working on my N95 8Gb v20.0.16. I have carefully done all the steps as mentioned in the first post but the default sound has not been changed.Somebody plz help!!!!:confused:

really works... and awesome... i put transformers transformation sound.. and this is really nice if with startup animation too... but unfortunately n73 not support for custome animation stuartup..

I believe it is the xp startup sound in the archive, Playman (in startup_sound.rar\E\Sounds\Simple)

1) Put this inside c or e /private/10202be9/101F8763.txt
2) place the sound you want as startup.mp3 inside E:\\Sounds\\Simple\\Startup.mp3
3) close mobile and open it again to test if all done ok.

it's any different between c:/private/10202be9 and c:/private/10202BE9

this is for n95 fw 30.for other mobiles i dont know.

FIRST OF ALL YOU NEED HACKED phone 9.X
1.unrar pack there you will find 101F8763.txt and Startup.mp3
2.put 101F8763 to С:/private/10202be9/101F8763.txt (maybe you will need to create new folder 10202be9)
3.put Startup.mp3 to E:\\Sounds\\Simple\\Startup.mp3
4.that's all now turn off you phone and turn on :excited: you will have new start-up sound. you may edit Startup.mp3 file but remember it must not be longer than 10 sec !!!



Works like a charm on my Hacked N95 8GB v30 firmware. :D:
