I placed a post in the Satnav > TomTom > Maplinks forum regarding some map links that did not work, I then found they were moved to the trash forum without explanation.
Now I do understand that technically they where not map links but where else would you put these to help other people by telling them they are bad links. Now all thats gonig to happen is loads of people are going to waste thier time and get p****d off with the forum / post.
Thx
P.S. A explanation or at least who did it would have been nice :(
I don't know who moved your post, but you would have done well to check the previous posts :

If you find any links that are not working please PM the original poster and ask them to edit their post - do not make any posts about non working links in here
so you should have PM'ed the poster of the links ..... I think the thread was meant to have only links to maps and no other posts of any kind.....
either way I don't think this is an issue of that great problem
hope you understand

japo:
They are not broken links they are bad links, you can spend 2 hours downloading them then you find they down work, if it was just a broken link I would not have wasted my time downloading!
So my post was only to warn / help other people but hell why should I care it's not my forum eh ;)
try4deepak:
How clear does it need to be, japo understood it or are we both missing something?

If you had taken the time to read the first post in that thread - or even the post no 54, which was only 4 posts about the latest post I have just removed you would of seen this :-
Please post any working links you have for any maps. If possible please include a list of what maps are available including any version numbers. If you have a meta.txt for the map you can post that with the map info.
DO NOT POST ANY REQUESTS OR ASK FOR HELP IN THIS THREAD - THEY WILL BE DELETED !!!!!
If you find any links that are not working please PM the original poster and ask them to edit their post - do not make any posts about non working links in here. If the original poster does not have any new links then they can PM me and ask for the post to be deleted - please send me a link to the post & the post number.
If you want to say thanks to the poster please use the REPUTE button.
Please use [CODE] tags when posting links.
Also take note of the thread title :-
Tomtom Map links ONLY !!!!
In the above quote you will also notice :-
DO NOT POST ANY REQUESTS OR ASK FOR HELP IN THIS THREAD - THEY WILL BE DELETED !!!!!
AND
If you find any links that are not working please PM the original poster and ask them to edit their post - do not make any posts about non working links in here. If the original poster does not have any new links then they can PM me and ask for the post to be deleted - please send me a link to the post & the post number.

It states "If you find any links that are not working please PM the original poster"
THE LINK WORKS, do you know what a link is? I will repeat THE LINK WORKS!!!!!
if you had taken time to read my posts, I was concerned about people using the links because "THEY WORK" and then finding the files downloaded did not work, it does not state "REPORT FILES THAT DO NOT WORK TO THE POSTER" like me several others have wasted time downloading, NOT BECAUSE OF BROKEN LINKS but because they files where faulty
MABYE, just MAYBE you would like to test the link and then think, "hang on these links arn't broken but you can't use the files, what a waste of time for our members" instead of having a go at me, the person who brought it to your attention.
Are you modetrators here to help people or just on a power trip?
Please Please Please feel free to dispute what I have said, PLEASE!!!!!! if you can find just one thing wrong in
a) my intent to save your memebers grief
b) getting something wrong by not reading a post
c) not making sure I was correct before posting

Maybe we have a different interpretation of this, but there is still a problem with the link - whether it works, or if there is another problem with the link such as it being faulty or a bad link etc.
The point of the thread being named 'Map Links ONLY !!!!' is exactly that - to keep the thread for links to make it easier to find what you are looking for.
Thankyou for trying to be helpful in pointing out the bad links, but please use the PM system and notify the original poster.
