Start Menu Service v1.4

http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3487/65909144dd5apxdxastartmhu5.gif

Requirements: WM 5/6

Overview:

The Start Menu is just one more replacement for the standard menu found on windows mobile pocket pcs. The main difference is that it has been made as a service and so does not need to be launched on startup, it is done automatically, and it is not an extra exe, but a dll loaded by services.exe

Notice:

Change the settings folder name in the registry if the StartMenu\Settings folder has another name.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\FdcStartMenu]
"SettingsFolderName"="Settings"

For instance in French, it should be:
"SettingsFolderName"="Param鑤res"

Yeah, I did that, I copied it onto my memory card. Then I run the cab file... But no difference in the start menu... I still see the same old start menu.

Where must you place the FdcSoft PpcMenu_wm2005.cab? in the main memory and run it? If so, which specific folder.

Is it so that it don't work with HTC Touch? Please advice what to do. Thanks.

OK i see some have similar problems with me in running it. This is because from what i have seen the application (which is actually installed as a service) for some reason stops.
So, the ppcmenu.dll is entered in the services. The services.exe starts when our pda starts causing all included dlls to start. Now if you enter with a program like sktools the services, you will see all running (hopefully) except ppcmenu.dll that for some reason is stopped. If you press start the service at that time with sktools, the dll will start (although it takes something like 10-15 secs) and the application runs from that point on.
What i don't know and I couldn't up to now achieve is to make it run on its own without having to manually start it (although the dll is set to start automatically).
Anybody can help from here on?
