hello friends,

Again i have got a very interesting info for you now you can uninstall any app installed in c or e drive or even in the z rom drive if it is possible to edit from pc.

Whenever files are installed on our devices their registry info or you can say files info is stored in the c:\sys\install\sisregistry\ . Even the files info of the files stored in the z\rom derive in present in the c drive. For example the list of files of nokia web browser is stored in c:\sys\install\sisregistry\100083d9\00000000.reg file. Rename the file 00000000.reg to 00000000.reg.txt with xplore and open it and you will get the list of all the files of nokia web browser with their paths stored in the z\rom. You can even change your web browser with any other web browser of any other nokia 3rd edition device by getting its all the files and then manually placing them in the same route in the c:\ or e:\ drive as they were present in the z drive of the other drive as given in the .reg file of the web browser of the other device or any other application which you want at your own risk.

When you install any sis file a .reg file is created in the c:\ derive only. So to uninstall any disturbing application like any quick office version just find its .reg file by cheaking folders in the c:\sys\install\sisregistry and manually delete all the componants. This process is time consuming but 100% working

After reading it fast, I think, can we transfer, for example the N95 browser to other phones? Like my E65? That would be cool. rep+

You will be able to rename files in caps off mode and make sure you rename the file as 00000000.reg.txt and not as
00000000.txt this will give error can.t rename

In which drive you are trying to rename 00000000.reg file i.e in c\, e\, or in z\.The drive Z\rom is read-only. If you are having trouble in renaming 000000.reg file in c\sys or e\sys drive then cheak weather you can rename any other file in the c\sys folder. If not then you should hack your phone again using zorn rom patcher.

Friends, any guide to get to the folder of quickoffice &adobe build in n73? i want uninstall it... thanks i don,t think you will be able to uninstall them even after getting their file info. To delete them you have to edit your firmware on pc and then you have to flash your phone with the editted firmware. But i would not recommend you to do it as it may be harmful for your phone.

To get the file info of adobe reader and quick office you can cheak c:\sys\install\sisregistry. I can,t help you in this case as i am using nokia 5700 in which these componants are not build in

Browser files? You mean file explorers?
Anyway search for all of those... Take FExplorer, X-Plore, ActiveFile as a clue for file explorers...

No friend we are asking for web browser files if any one can post here all the files of his n95 web browser and the registry info files then i can tell you a way to use the n95 browser as an uninstallable browser which you can easily delete from your application manager.

on rom patcher i have disable caps (mean i am on enable caps) and still cant rename any file on c:/sys

Then you must redo the hacking process and then check that does rom patcher.exe gives any error during patching and you must refer to some sticky thread in this forum

You don,t mentioned whether your app was java or sisx but if it was a java app its icon is stored e:\private\apps\non-native\resource\*.mbm. For example if the app is opera mini its icon will be stored as (ICON0270086490.MBM) you can open the icon in resco viewer. If it was a sisx app then its icon will be stored on e\private\apps\non_native\ its name ie opera.rsc, handyzip_reg.rsc. Just delete the rsc file your icon would be deleted.

:(Mate you also need to delete the e:\cities folder. Since the maps in there are only compatible with new version. Use the old MapLoader to upload the maps again.

can we remove office suite 5

hannan123

yeh you can remove office suite 5 just find its registry info in the sisregistry folder and start deleting files manually. This registry info is the record for uninstaller to remove any application.

what if in the registry files that in the non native folder i make a "txt" suffix to see the information about the app. it belongs and i see a "fakeapp" there?
does it mean that there's no app in the phone for that registry?

hannan123
20th May 2008, 23:15
no registry info is only the info of those files which are installed in the phone these files are deleted with the deletion of the corresponding apps even the info of the built in componants is also present in there which are not even visible in the app.mngr

Using windows, the folders can easily be found by copying the sisregistry folder to E:, connecting phone as data transfer, right click on MEMORY CARD/sisregistry, search, and searching for *.reg files that contain the text "application name".

anin_dani
23rd May 2008, 15:40
but,if i see there inside the file "fakeapp",what does it mean?

hannan123
23rd May 2008, 16:15
i have told before that there is no fake app. If there is any file in there which does not belong to any app then it means that you formated your phone and after formating some of the apps on memory card disappear so this may be the info of any of those files i found then you can use the info in the the file to delete any remains of the disappeared file or fake app.

the installer installs all the uninstalled
