Changes made from version 4.20.30w to 4.20.50w:

* Provide a maximum height for the gray toolbar buttons at the bottom of the main menu for smartphone devices with tall screens.
* Update copyright year to 2008.
* Update application default for South Africa to use English (preferred).
* Update Dutch translations.
* Correct an SDK error that could cause the application to terminate when QueSelectAddressFromFind is used.

Changes made from version 4.20.20w to 4.20.40w:

* Provide additional error checking to detect corrupted NMEA input from third party GPS receivers.
* Provide increased voice prompt volume for smartphone devices.
* Provide additional coordinate location formats when selecting Where To -> Coordinates.
* Modify map drawing settings to improve the map drawing speed.
* Correct text translations (Dutch).

All credits for the keygen go to JetMouse, as well as Lord Yuz and starix who helped with the creation of the keygen.

Installation procedure:

a) Start installation of 'GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_42020w.exe' from PC through ActiveSync. Select your Storage Card as destination. During the installation, files will be copied to your storage card. The files should appear in '\Storage Card\Garmin\Apps\WM'.
b) Install 'GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe' for voice files. In storage card
c) Install 'GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe' for Garmin's base map. In storage card
d) Run GarminMobileXT and click "Connect to a Garmin GPS" go to 'setting\about' record the Unit ID and use keygen to create unlock key.
e) Save as sw.unl file.
f) Copy 'sw.unl' to '\Storage Card\Garmin'.

hi guys... how can I export my logged routes? There should be a EXPORT option (to gpx file...) in:

TOOLS -> MANAGE MY DATA -> TRACKS ... EXPORT mapped to the right soft-key ...

the Symbian version has it.. but the WM version doesent. What's up? :)

i ran the app in my phone, went to settings/about, and got the unit id...then used the keygen to create the unlock key...but my question is, how or where do we create the sw.unl file?

also, does the gps have to be garmin? i have a globalsat bluetooth and the app can't seem to find it...appreciate the help :) thanks guys!

ps: trying to install this on an mda...also, ran the bat file, but not sure if it did what it's supposed to do as it closed right away

It has been awhile since I did this since original release, but I believe you simply open notepad and type your number from keygen and do a save as..."sw.unl" without the quotes.

1. Create a serial with Garmin Keygen (v1.5 is the latest)
2. Save the serial to a file gmapsupp.unl
3. Copy/Move gmapsupp.unl to \Storage Card\Garmin

I did the below, which is whatever stated in the post, but it still prompt me the registration page:

e) Save as sw.unl file.---I then save it as sw.unl (No .txt at the end)
f) Copy 'sw.unl' to '\Storage Card\Garmin'. ---transfer it to Garmin folder in Storage card.(just below the 'Apps', 'EULA', and stuff)

But it still ask me if I want to:
-Purchase & Go
-Begin Free Trail
-Enter Product Key
-Connect to a garmin GPS.

Very, very sad, I have been trying this, and V.402020 for 2 days straight, roughly 30 hours spent on this Garmin XT. Can someone please help!!

Thanks, but I had tried all 4 sets of numbers for atleast 12 times, install and reinstall. Still to no avail, mayb I screw up the 1st time, and some undeletable Garmin log is hiding somewhere in my PPC, just to make mylife miserable! Not that I am evil or something but I still hope someone have the same problem as mine, sorry, and tell me what to do next.

Well, I got a "little Prob" about V4.20.50w:

Installed and working perfectly on Windows Mobile 6 Professional (Samsung i780), but from time to time I get the Message "That the newest version of Garmin Mobile XT is already installed on my device". So why this? I use my mobile as e-mail receiver too, so the mobile is connected to the internet every 5 minutes to check for new mail messages.
Could it be, that the garmin software searches for updates automatically in the background when the device is online? (Online access disabled in Garmin software).
Or is this a windows mobile bug?
What could be the reason for this message coming once or twice a day?

There is a folder on the SD card, called 2577. This is the default for autorun to be stored in. When a card is inserted to the device, it autoruns an app on the SD card, which automatically checks if Garmin is installed on your device.

Since this usually happens when the SD card is inserted, your device probably puts the SD device driver in sleep mode. When the SD device driver wakes up, it thinks that the SD card has been inserted, therefore, autorun is executed.

Yes, you can delete it. You can also delete the whole 2577 folder, since the install is located in \Storage Card\Garmin, I think under \Storage Card]Garmin\Apps\WM.

Once you have generated the 25 alphanumeric unlock code, highlight and copy it. Next, go to Start (desktop) and then select Notepad. Copy the unlock into Notepad. Then select All Files, and save the file as sw.unl into the /Garmin folder of your SD card.

I have this up and running just fine with the base maps but cannot access anything because it tells me I need detailed maps.

For North America, should I be installing the Garmin City Navigator North America NT map pack, or is there another place where I should be getting the detailed maps from?

Go to Malsingmaps.com and download the free, unlocked map for W.Malaysia & Spore. Put this downloaded map-file - gmapsupp.com - under the /Garmin directory of your SD card.

Hi, Managed to get it working with my Imate 8502! The problem is when I click "Where to?" "Addresses" "Spell state" and I type in the address but is said "None Found". I only can use the "Where to?" "Food, Hotels......" to navigate the places for destination but cannot search my address even any address in the "Where to?" "Addresses" "Spell state" it said "None Found". Not like Mapking when you type in a alphabhet it will come out a list of address for you to choose .

If you are using the unlocked Malsingmaps, you can only use the Where To/Food, Hotels../Spell Name to search for all road and building POIs.

If you are using the locked Malsingmaps in Spore, you cannot search for a house number (except HDB block #), but you can find the street name by: Where To/Addresses/Singapore/Search All Cities/Next (when prompted for House Number)/Street name. If you are looking for a particular building (shopping mall, hotel, restaurant, etc), you can find it: Where To/Food, Hotels../Spell Name.

Was able to upload garmin to my samsung i780 and made the sw.unl key placed it in the garmin folder in the storage card but the program still remains in trial and could not be registered.
Also tried to view philippine map but could not.

make sure that you generate the sw.unl using the CARD ID and not the UNIT ID from the garmin->about dialog box.

philippine map is not made by garmin but by filipino enthusiasts from here:

that's because you already have the SW.unl file in the Garmin directory. delete this file and fire up GarminXT once more.. it should say the program is in trial mode.. start it up and it will try to connect to Garmin GPS, skip the process go to settings -> about window and you will find 4 serials IMEI, IMSI, Device ID and Card ID. use the Card ID to generate your serial, make the SW.unl and paste it onto the Garmin directory as usual.

1.FIRST INSTALL THE FILE FORM THIS CONNECTION:

2. sECOND - INSTALL Mapsource FROM THIS CONNECTION
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Than you need to find maps in setup form (with exe) (piratebay and other torrents) and install them to computer, unlock them with unlock code (diferent than form keygen) and choose maps, select the areas you would like to have on phone and transfer to phone.

Tohe unlocking with keygen in the phone.

once you have sw.unl (even with wrong code) in the garmin directory, in the about box it will only show you the Device ID number and hide the IMEI, IMSI and CARD ID.. but it will remain in trial mode with the nag trial screen. thus you have to re-create a new SW.unl using the CARD ID and paste the generated code to the SW.unl file and paste it (overwrite) to the garmin directory on the PPC.

Garmin works fine with my TyTN II, and also the jawa-bali maps. but the problem is, TyTN II has GPS modul built-in, but why the application search for bluetooth devices? Is there any new update for garmin? I installed garmin 4.2050w.

I am thinking of getting the Samsung i780. I want to install Garmin XT as seemlessly as possible. I believe I have all the files now that were posted in this thread.

They guy at the cell store has the i780 but he didn't use Jetmouse to generate an unlock code for this. Is this right? He didnt want to say any more cuz he was "on duty".

Aside from the Garmin Maps, do you still require an sw.unl code for XT or is it just for the Garmin Maps? Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Hi, please help my. Garmin function, maps are OK unlock, but it cant find internal GPS, both are setting on COM2 and nothing, also a tried other combination. sw.unl i created with keygen ver.5. I have PPC with WM type Glofiish X500.

HI I have TYTNII PDA, i have installed no problems with the codes etc, however how do i get the program to utilise my internal gps device it keeps turning on my bluetooth any ideas? Is there a setting?

Also i am not in the country that i have installed the map for.Can i check to see if it is installed correctly before I go to Bangkok?

I try to view map and it says detailed maps are required to use this feature ( I have downloaded 75mb Thailand map already?) !! and made the code from keygen and installed the norepad file to garmin folder etc help please thanks.

Try Settings/System/Remote GPS and select Com4.

Are you sure you have entered the correct KG code for the Thai map...as gmapsupp.unl file? If you have done it correct, you wouldn't have got the error message about no detailed maps, etc. If all is well, then to view the map of Thai, go to Tools/Browse Map and then zoom out and move the cursor to Thai, and then zoom in. You should then be able to see the detailed Thai map

I put the map in storage card/garmin is that right? unzipped? then i used kgen and tabbed to map thailand version 8 and hit generate key?

Then I pasted that number into notepad and changed to gmapsupp.unl file is that correct ?
also where are the voices or where can i get them and where do they download to, on the 1st page install instructions wasnt sure about running the 2 exe files at part 2 and 3 as couldnt fine them? gps works ok now. cheers guys

I got the program to work and aqure sattelites. Thanks! The problem I am having is when I select to go anywhere, I get Detailed maps are required to use this feature. Visit garmin.com. What am I doing wrong? If I click on map, it does show my area. I guess I dont know if I even have maps on here or not or did I screw something up? Thanks

I have installed the GMXT in my i900. IMHO, it log-on to GPS at a much faster speed than the AGIS map that comes with it.

However, GMXT is a very basic GPS routing map and not as easy to use as Mapking or Agis.

I am not sure if it was only my set but I find that my i900 becomes quite hot after half an hour of running GMXT.

Can anyone help me with this. I had this working on my XP computer and I have gotten new one with Windows Vista and when I go to this step

Open the folder "\PC Mapsource Crack\" and run the file "all.bat".

Nothing happens. I am running it as Administrator and it doesnt seem to be working. Any help on this from someone who has it installed on a Vista computer would be appreciated.

Save it as text file - select file - Rename - write unl over txt. then you will be asked if you're shure that you want to change extension, push yes and it's over.
2nd method
In notepad when you save the file type sw.unl in the first box (file name) and select all files in second box (save as type).

i have problem with garmin XT now...its asking for an 8digit product key... how do i get this number? cuz that garmin keygen.exe produces a longer digit??? not sure wat happendd to my garmin cuz i just copied over the files to another SD card and now its asking for key again :( thanx if anyone can help me

edite: nm guys, i got the problem fixed...i needed to make a NEW sw.unl file in my sdmmc/garmin folder cuz i use a different sdcard so it needs a new cardID number,etc

i went from a 4gb card to an 8gb card and its so slow my garmin now :(

i guess the card speed makes a huge difference patriot class 6 vs the sandisk

I can't seem to run the GarminMobileXT file on either my PC or N95! I get a 'Not a Win32 application' message for my PC while 'Program not recognized' error when I try running it on my N95.

I also don't know when to use the 'Unlock All' folder and its content. Do I run it before installing Garmin to my phone?

Please advise. Thank you!

Would just like to say thanks for this thread. I followed the directions and got it working perfectly on my Alltel HTC Touch. It was kind of laggy at first but the more you use it the faster it gets. It actually came in handy trying to find a house in an area ive never been to.

One question though...whenever I select my "where to" when it tries to download the traffic info it says that i'm not subscribed to that service. It's not a big deal but is there a fix for it?

How long u guys can get the GPS fix?

First time it was fast! its like 2 minutes even when im inside my house, but now it wont get any GPS fix even when im outside my house

do anyone have tricks for this?

One thing that works well for me is to run google maps first... it picks up locks quick then run garmin

Go to Malsingmaps.com and download the free, unlocked map for W.Malaysia & Spore. Put this downloaded map-file - gmapsupp.com - under the /Garmin directory of your SD card.

You manage to use malsing's map?? I followed all installation procedures on my TyTnII and also loaded malsing map (named as gmapsupp) in SD card \Garmin. But when I execute Garmin XT, always show me Australia's map and keep showing "searching for satallite".... tried many days and :confused:

Any guru can show me anything I missed out...? Thanks in advance...
