Hello

Easy change your cache directory c:\cache to e:\cache.

For what like he looks through the www in telephonies and they do not want, the upload of the memory on the disc c:\ cache is the solution.

The change makes possible the record of files from c:\ cache to e:\ cache or if someone likes the order on the disc c and the older telephone has with the small quantity of the memory.

* e:\cache is a SD card memory.

:)

I made tiny the change in the file 101F8557.txt

in paths they were altered letters "c" and "d" on "e", sie the directory cache finds from this time on e:\ cache

0x3 string "e:\\ cache" 0 cap_rd = alwayspass cap_wr = alwaysfail
0x4 string "e:\\ cache" 0 cap_rd = alwayspass cap_wr = alwaysfail

How to:
----------------
1.. We break system
2.. Create the directory "cache" on the card of the memory e:\cache
3.. put in 101F8557.txt to С:\ private \10202be9 (if this does not have him to create the directory 10202be9)
4.. The Reboot of the telephone and he should swish

As this will not work:
-----------------------
1.. We break system
2. to copy the file 101F8557.txt from z:\ private\10202be9\101F8557.txt
3.. Edit and to alter letters on e
4.. Create the directory "cache" on the card of the memory e:\ cache
5.. put it 101F8557.txt to С:\ private \10202be9 (if this does not have him to create the directory 10202be9)
6.. The Reboot of the telephone and he should swish

Work on: N80 IE, N95, N95-8GB, N82
not work: N73/ME

I think it could be usefull if you have a high spec sd card and your sd card has faster read/write speeds as internal memory

Thanks for the hack mate. It sure will help out those who don't have much space left on C: for the browser cache and want to have a bigger cache size.

Fellows...no more off-topic posts please :)

Nice trick but it seems to only free up phone memory c: , nothing to do with the ram which is d: , I tried and watched the cache folder in e: filling up but also the ram d: is filling up as normal.

hi,
finally, i have tourned the cache to the C
with the cache at E, the internet is 25-40% more sloooow
provably due to the reead-write cache access
