This program makes a patch to be used with ROMPatcher. The purpose of this patch is to force the phone to use files in C: before the same file in Z:

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

For example, if you have c:\resource\apps\About.r01
then it will take precedence over z:\resource\apps\About.r01

This is useful to fake Symbian so that it takes your own file, before the original one. As files in C: are read+write, you can modify them.

Instructions:

From your phone copy the file z:\sys\bin\EFSrv.dll to the PC in the same folder where you have c2z.exe and then run c2z.exe
It will generate the file c2z.rmp
Now copy the generated rmp file to your mobile in E:\Patches
Start ROMPatcher and enable the patch


Which files can be overriden?
At least *.RSC , *.MBM, *.INI, *.R??, *.TXT

On some FP1 phone models, by default the files in C: are used before the same file in Z: If your phone exihibits this behaviour then you don't need this patch. But this might not be true for all files.

Sure there is a problem in your generated c2z rmp file. Wait for fix from FCA ;)

thats why we need rom dumps to know the ups and downs of every phone if you will provide your rom dumps it would be very easy for fca to provide you a patch thats suites 100% for your phone because the infrastructure of every phone is different. Just provide the link to your rom dumps at the rom dumps forum or send me i will provide them to francisco.

My E65 crashes when I apply the patch, any idea? I have to take out the battery, and as a added bonus, if I wait more than one second when I shall enter my PIN-code, the phone hangs too, but no worries, it works fine...

on 5320, this will broke the search function in main screen.
I find this on Chinese CMCC edition.

using latest c2z i made my rmp file put in E:/Patches and using latest ROMPatcher to enable the patch the phone hangs crashes and restarts. tried so many times and just not working. wat am i doing wrong ? shud my themes be installed on phone memory?

apply patch to efsrv from my nikia 5800 20.0.0.12 fw..
for launch KastorUI effects, effects are working, but 10-20min usage phone start dissapear some icons.. if off c2z - effects off and icons stop missing..
i think this is c2z because if i put in rom patcher autorun - then no one icon in programs show (without KastorUI effects patch)

I have all, hacked N95 8GB, RomPatcher, c2z.rpm but when I put Apply and Auto run c2z.rmp and restart my phone I CANT OPEN MENU ANYMORE :emptymind: WHY? . I have luck me bluetooth is always turn on and I succeed delete c2z.rpm from RomPatcher and when I restart me phone again my MENU IS BACK!!!

Can anybody explain this situation!!

i'm facing a problem i haven't yet read about:
when c2z is active on my e61i RM-227 v2.0633.65.01 it shows up in "My Computer" and "Nokia Phone Browser", however it doesn't contain any items. PC Suite Connection works normaly with c2z disabled.

Any ideas?

How do you get the dll file from the phone? Modo can see the file, but pasting the file in E: does not work (I cant go back the drive selection menu in modo) and Ybrowser cant see the sys folder.
