step1.
install kate 1.3 from [Only registered and activated users can see links] by using "Installer".

step2.
run the main app of Kate, do the trial, if it said u can not do trial ,u have to find the file named "com.ripdev.kate.plist" in "/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/" folder and delete it. if your kate had expired ,and u can not find your com.ripdev.kate.plist file... cant do this crack at all.


step3.
create a file ,named "valid-date.txt", input single-line date value with format "yyyyMMdd" , save it.
the date is the valid date when kate can be used as trial.
for example, ur kate installed on 05/06/2008，it expired on 05/09/2008， then u can input the date as "20080507"，
it means system will lie to kate ,today is 05/07/2008 :)

20080507-> 2008=year , 05= month, 07=day,

copy this file to iphone ,under path /Library/MobileEnhancer/

this step is very important, do it carefully!


step4.

add this source to your Installer: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
refresh and find the "Kate1.3 crack patch" in the "!CNPDA原创破解!"。
install it!!



step5.
go back to SpringBoard. run Kate main App, u will find the added package named "crackA" and "crackz"，select them and apply to install.
after install, u have to restart ur iphone.


step6.
finish! be enjoy!

People Be Very Careful In Installing Kate, I Faced The Problem On My 1.1.4 .

Kate Crashes And Hangs The Complete Iphone, U Cannot Work On Any Application. It Happened To Me.

now this programme does cause a few problems as i can vouch for but if u have installed it don't worry u can sort it out...reboot the phone a few times it will eventuallly work again...when u have access to iphone install Respring..i read in other forums it is a conflict with the programme Dock (sunburst)...best to uninstall this...i have Kate now on 1.1.4 cra**ed and fully working....

nice prog, tried it out with the mentioned crack a few days ago (crack method long appeared on the cnpd webbie). however, experienced intermittant unexpected shutting off of the screen at random (even happened once when i answered a call, and the call ended up being put on hold) and decided to uninstall it, after which the problem was gone. wld have been a great prog and crack if the problem didnt occur.

I went through the entire process until I got stuck installing the actual crack. When I choose to install from Installer it downloads just fine then I get the "Main script execution failed!" error.:suicide:

I am running 1.1.4 jb on a 16GB iPod. I have not previously installed Kate, so expired trial cannot be my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i tried to install Kate and after restart, my iphone freezes.
i highly recommend that do not install this program until the bugs are fixed.

for those who had experienced that the iphone freezes, do this:
1. tap and hold the Kate icon. the icons will jiggle
2. press the X button on the top left corner of the icon, then delete. it will prompt whether to uninstall Kate. just select uninstall.
3. after that, the iphone will unfreeze.

It will freeze the touch screen and there is no way out except for a fresh restore....i have been through this but a fresh restore to 1.1.4 minus dock works perfectly......and its an amazing application.

ive done all the steps and its working fine

however, in step 3 do i need to change the date to one a few years ahead or use todays date or tomorrows or something?

i ask this because i went into settings, then rip dev and checked the trial period and it still says that the end date is the 17th of this month

i put the date 20080515 in the valid-date.txt btw

I don't find the file for reset trial period

hi everybody; I'tried to make hte complete procedure with the expired version of kate and without finding the file com.ridev.kalist.plist.
Then I installed the patch, putted the txt file in the right position. After all these the program ran; before I couldn't open the home page of the program. But I think actually still don't work; the calendar from the lock page is missing and also the other stuff is not working. I've checked the Kate tag under the ripdev preferences and the license period seems over; anyone succeded cracking the expired version? HOw?

Uninstall the whole thing do it in steps..

Go to Kate 1.3 and remove ALL check from the Modules/Packages including "crackA" and "crackz"! This is the correct way of removing Kate 1.3; if you remove Kate 1.3 from the Installer; all the Modules/Packages are still in the iPhone!

Go to Installer and Uninstall the package "Kate1.3 Crack Patch" from CNPDA Category. Uninstall the package "Kate" from "Utilities" or "Rip DEV"? Category.

Return back to the SpringBoard where it will Respring. Turn Off\On (Restart\Reboot) the iPhone and go to the Top of this post and Start the Installation process from the beginning like it was a first time install and this should fix everything.

it happened wid me......i had to reset the settings.....
u can also logoff the phone from the iphone suite for the screen to work properly......

Same problem here too. This crack worked for me during the past month but today i restarted my iPod just to clear the memory and Kate won't work. I can mess with the settings, enable or disable features but they just won't work.

I suppose RipDEV fixed the bug that enabled the crack to work or something?

I was on 1.1.2 for a while because i was scared of losing caterpillar so i never upgraded. I backed up the caterpillar files that was on my 1.1.2 and saved them to my pc with iPhone Browser (WinSCP, cant work it). I completely killed my phone by trying to pwn it. the recovery screen kept turning blue and rebooting. So after many hours I finally got it to restore, then i jailbroke it with ZiPhone. Any way I installed Kate through installer and i then copied all of my backed up files to the iphone and just let everything overwrite everything. I dont know if all the features of 1.3 kate are there (i only cared about privacy and reminder) but all i know is that I didnt pay and it works! i also installed the crack that was in the rip dev category too

i had backed up caterpillar 1.2 and copied it to kate and after that I installed the patch thats in the rip dev folder, the first hack that was made. it worked for me

can u tell me what do u get in the about screen of Kate.

When u go to Settings ==> RiP Dev ==> Kate

i have found out that once you open the Kate under the options/Settings that it will expire. I am using file browser. ok try this:

1. Install Kate 1.3 then select what you want it to install
2. Then put these file in ur iphone that are attached. make sure you place them in the right spot
3. Add this to your Installer source if not already added:

4. Rename the folder under Applications from Kate to Caterpillar (I Did)
5. Now download the hack from the RiP Dev source and install it
Whatever you do, do not open the Kate/Caterpillar license because it will make it expire

1. First Change Kate.app to Caterpillar.app. Copy The Caterpillar contents to the foldr you just renamed to Caterpillar.app. Do it again in var/Applications/Caterpillar.app
2. Mobile Enhancer folder goes in Library/MobileEnhancer. Copy contents to that directory
3. Drop The RipDev & RipInstall to var/root/Library

Restart Phone and you should be good to go. Remember do not open the license file under Settings>Rip Dev>*DO NOT OPEN CATERPILLAR/KATE*

i found this source in a Russian site that includes the caterpillar with a built in license

here is how to do it:

1- remove all previous installation of caterpillar or Kate
2- for those who worked with the backup file you should delete all the files replaced in your iphone because the uninstall will not be good enough
3- after adding the source go to RiP Dev Category and install R.I.P Dev v 2.2
4- then install caterpillar v 1.1.1
5- when done go to your spring board and click on the caterpillar icon
6- choose which applications you want to install
7- after finishing installation restart your Iphone
8- it's recomended that you dont open the caterpillar after that (you can hide it using Poof or HidePod)
9- enjoy ^________________________^

**** I suggest that you dont install smart dialer because it will not work properly but everything else is working just fine

There isn't Installer Fix in iClarified repo. I installed it from another repo and still I can't download Caterpillar (download package failed)

Kate and Caterpillar is not a good program! Once I install it, I have to restore my iPhone. It will make my iPhone Hang, once restart can't on the iPhone anymore. Have to restore it!

Is there a crack for the new version? That chinese package gives me "main excution failed" :(

PS: I installed Catepillar 1.1.1 but now I have problems with sound :(

Kate alone is quite a very good App.
The problems some users have are often caused by a combination of some Apps. (Bossprefs + Intelliscreen + Kate + ...)
I never had any Problems with Kate!
