Nav N Go iGO 8 GPS software is available on a memory card with 3-in-1 adapter: full-size SD adapter, mini SD card and micro SD card providing universal compatibility with all devices, even with ultra-small mobile phones. It supports different screen resolutions and orientations including widescreen devices.


TMC support, speed-camera support

All of the European free TMC sources are integrated. When TMC information is available, it is possible to view the TMC events either on the map as icons or as a list on a dedicated traffic information listing.

The Nav N Go iGO 8 software supports the following speed camera types: fixed unidirectional and bidirectional, section camera, red light cameras and mobile speed cameras.

copy to SD, run autorun, program is installed but then i get a message like "not valid licence for map" and igo freezes...

Nyep...you can't. Search for portuguese *fbl map at the neighborhood. POI's just look at POIPLAZA. :wave:

Time-Zone Error in Nav N Go iGO 8

Based on user feedback, we inform you that, in the current versions of Nav N Go iGO 8, the Windows time zone may be incorrectly set depending on the GPS position (for instance, Minsk is selected for Hungary). The correction of the error is in process.

As soon as the correction is made, we will immediately release an automatic update that can be downloaded free of charge with the use of the Content Manager. The exact time of the correction will be published on my.navngo.com. In case time-zone errors appear, you can temporarily correct them on your device by editing:
/Program Files/iGO8/sys.txt
and adding the following lines:
[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0
Attention: The modifications will only be activated when Nav N Go iGO 8 is restarted.

Nav N Go apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

I use "Dave" TTS for iGO8, but it has lag problem.
My PDA CPU is operating at 400Mhz.

Newer version with the taskbar fixed when have minimised igo.

i tryied to do that but i v=cannot save the SYS.TXT file correctly, and if i do by copy it to a diff folder, than modify, than pase back to the igo08 root, i get a system error...!!!

Hello, does anyone have the "Content Manager" (PC-App) for iGo8? I would like to use it to convert my old POIs from iGO2006.

alonmozes.... I run both iGo2006 and Igo8 on my O2 XDA2 without problems.
Both programs loaded on SD card. Just make sure that the autorun.exe files are named differently eg. autorunigo8.exe, and then select the appropriate one to install the program. You should have 2 different shortcuts on your Today screen. Mine are shown as OnCourse for iGo2006 and Nav N Go iGO 8

I have a problem with this version. There's no way i can set the Home Address, unlike the previous version where there's a work and home address options. I am using UK map and for some reason it sets the start from somewhere in london, which is very annoying if i am viewing it offline (without gps connection) to check for the route.

Yep, i have the same problem, Yesterday it was working great
and after the update to Win.mobile 6.1 it won't work annymore.

I have install it several times, but still not working.

Here is what I did.
Updated to HardSPL 3.29 to fix freezing
Installed dutty's WM 6.1 Hybrid
Installed Radio 1.65.14.06
Disabled HTC Home Plugin
Installed IGO 8

Everything works fine. Tested for several hours. No freezing. Works like a charm.

@Aires, sorry my question, what I need for I have IGO8 VGA for Diamond and Portugal with 3D buildings, portuguese voice, POIs, etc.

Patch htc diamond igo8
setting up your igo8 in the internal memory of HTC DIAMOND ... replace the

folder IGO8 file sys.txt ... and copy the file igo8.exe.

resco explorer used to enter the folder igo8 and create a shortcut file

igo8.exe in screen htc diamond. made this procedure you can use your

igo8 with HTC DIAMOND.

tested on HTC Diamond.

I have tried using IGO8 on my Samsung Omnia
with 400_240 but it does not working.

The ordinary version is working, but I get 320_240 and the rest of the screen is black.

Is someone can help me?

I have a strange problem. I have used IGO8 for a few months and suddendly it didn't work anymore. First I got the message that it was out of memory. Then I reinstalled it after several tries to let IGO8 work again, and now I get the message:
fatal error occured in main thread.
Address: 0x001ec3dc Exception: 0xc0000005
Is there somebody who know what this means and can help me?

Solution:

Go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Sounds and disable 'Screen taps' and if you want disable also 'Hardware buttons'.

i have an 7" autoradio with navigator.
i would like to put the IGO8 on it.
When it starts it give me an eroor for the skin 480_234.
I have downloade an IGO8 that contain the folder 480_234 but when i run the program,
i cannot see the bottom side of the program.
When it start i can see the splashscreen but cannot see the loading informations, and
when i go trough the menu i cannot go back or out of it because i cannot see the back arrow.
lease anybody can help me to solve the problem?

Hey guys, how do you actually install that software? Ive downloaded it, and put IGO8 catalog into my sd card. But how do I install?

I have a HTC TOUCH PRO, I cant find the soft reset button, so i just restarted the phone ut nothing is happening.. any ideas?

Well i figured out how to make it halfly work. when i try to install it now tho, even tho the phone is hard reset, it tells me that I have a older version and do i wish to downgrade it. If I chose no, nothing is installed. If I chose yes, then it just gets in a loop. asking me all the time if i wanan downgrade.

Any ideas?

Because the data.zip doesn't contains the resolution that is used in Omnia. But i have found another data.zip and replace the original one. And now it works.


Still, some times it crashes, and by deleting the save folder, it works again :(
