Opera Mini 4.1 Final Updated [14-MAY-08]

Opera Mini 4.1 beta lets you have the full Web everywhere. This newest release includes several new features, including automatic completion of web addresses, making it easier to get to the sites you need; tools for attaching files to web-based email; uploading photos to your blog or other site; downloading attachments from email for storage on your phone; and saving and viewing pages offline.

New in Opera Mini 4.1 beta

Now even faster
Prior to this release, we upgraded our servers and Opera Mini now receives your requested web pages up to 50% faster. So you can now access sites like Facebook, BBC, and any of your other favorite web sites even faster, with Desktop-like speeds.

Find things faster
Even though scrolling to your Web content is already easy with Opera Mini, the new Opera Mini 4.1 beta lets you search for text within a Web page so you can get to the information you need even quicker than before.

Get your to your web sites faster
Now you can stop wasting time typing in full web addresses more than once while browsing. When typing web addresses, Opera Mini 4.1 beta will recognize and suggest completions for you based on your Bookmarks and browsing history, making address input faster, easier and much more intuitive.

Download and upload files
On phones with JSR-75, you can now upload and download files using Opera Mini 4.1 beta, without being re-routed to your phone’s native browser. Update your blog while on the go. Upload photos to your web site or social network. Add attachments easily to web-based email, and download other non media-rich content to your phone using Opera Mini 4.1 beta.

Save it for later
On phones with JSR-75, Opera Mini 4.1 beta lets you save pages for offline viewing so you can quickly access and read your desired Web content, even when you’re on a plane, in the subway, or in other places where you can’t get network reception. Depending on your phone, you may need to choose a destination folder for storing pages for offline viewing.

There are no big differences from the beta, but there are a lot of things that have happened behind the surface:
- We have fixed a lot of bugs
- Minor changes to saving pages
- Several adjustments to auto-complete address input and upload/download
- BlackBerry devices with old firmware now get Opera Mini 4.1 without JSR-75.

How to change the default Icon:
Any JAR file can be easily opened up and edited in WinRAR. The OperaMini JAR file contains a file named i.png. This is the default icon.

You can replace it with any png file of yours (48x48 is optimal size). To add your new icon, rename your png file to i.png and drag and drop it on the Opera Mini JAR file in windows explorer.
Simple isn't it :D

Yea, me too, i tried Icon #3 first, but i didn't like it cause it was too big, and it looked out of place with the other icons in the menu. Icon 1 looks good.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to swankyleo again.

it seems not a signed one. it keeps annoying me by repeated "read&write user data" pop up. the option "always allowed" doesnt appear in App.manager.

Mates if u want Signed version with Changed Icon then follow the steps from this post.
http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1944242&postcount=39 Change the drive C: to Drive E: to change .Mbm file if u installed Opera on Mass memory.
I m using it since yesterday and it's not hard to do and works flawlessly. Hope this helps and enjoy.

That's the Fault in opera Mini server somewhere for some sites, downloading was working fine from opera mini 3 days ago but now for some file it only downloads abt 25kb, the best way to solve is Use option Open and download from native browser. I tried downloading Nokia maps from Nokia beta labs and Opera Mini downloaded full 4mb without any prob. I hope prob with Ipmart solves soon.

also you can install Opera or UCWEB in sis/x files then you'll be able to download any file format. To extract, you can use lcg X-plore.
