I dont know if this has been post before, and dont know where to post this, just want to share with you all :)
So moderator, help me :)

You can make s60v3 menu static, meaning everytime you change menu/icon position, they keep coming back to previous position.
This useful if someone mess up your icon structure and you dont have time to reorganize them or you just reformat ur phone.

Here we go:
1. Open rom patcher and disable cap
2. Go to c:/private/101F4CD2/CONTENT/appshelldata.xml with Xplore.
3. Copy to appshelldata.xml to e:/other for backup (you can restore this file after format and hack ur phone)
4. Make it read only by pressing 6 and click Read-only

Dont forget to arrange icon as you need before you do this.

To restore phone original menu, just delete this file.
To disable this hack, remove read only attributes.
Any new installed apps will still appears in your Application folder.

Restart your phone.

For know on everytime you restart your phone the menu structure intact even someone change it.

It will B easier 2 save the *.xml file somewhere in a map.....

But mayB others will try out UR way...

Well,

going in2 this private folder and copy the appshell file in2 a folder (ex. menu) and past it there.....

You will always have cpmplete acces after the menu is somehow changed...

I use it a lot due 2 the folder hacking...

I now own 13 moving animated folder icons and changed a lot of apps and created new folders with new Carbide 3D m3gicons set....

There4 I have 2 make sure that save this *.xml file.....

Still looking 4 the animated folder with the green man and the internet globe...

Thats because this file can be found only on the FP1 devices!
It should've been mentioned, to not confusing ppl.
