TomTom With Internal GPS Support v6.02 S60v3 SymbianOS9.1 Cracked-BiNPDA

OverView :

Easy to use: The simple installation and intuitive user menu gives you the perfect navigation experience.Clear and accurate spoken and visual instructions: Easy to follow route instructions and crystal clear 2D or 3D maps lead you from door-to-door whether you travel by car, by bike or on foot.

Easy call handling: Never miss a call or SMS message while navigating through on-screen instructions.Navigate direct to contacts stored in your address book

Installation Notes :

1) Install 1.bt.sisx. Run it. It should say "Device added"
At this point you can also uninstall it - it is no longer needed.

2) Install 2.GPSd.jar. Run this prior to starting TomTom

3) Install 3.tomtom.sisx

4) Copy the TomTom folder from the 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar
to the root of your memory card.

5) Run TomTom. Choose Yes when it asks you to switch on bluetooth. Go to Change preferences, Show GPS status, Configure, Other Bluetooth GPS receiver, and select the
BiNPDA GPS.

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an "external" receiver, you may need
to click on "tomtom receiver", and then "other receiver" to get the list of devices again.

Enjoy this Release.. Many Thanks to BiNPDA Team.

FANTASTIC!

Works perfectly.

Have copied UK and IE plus major roads of Western Europe to the root of the N95-8GB memory.

Got a lock pretty quickly, even indoors.

Quick rundown to clarify the instructions on P1:

1) Copy bt.sisx, GPSd.jar, tomtom.sisx and the "TomTom" directory from the Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar file to the root of the memory card
2) Install bt.sisx
3) Install tomtom.sisx
4) Run bt from the applications menu (this apparently can then be uninstalled)
5) Run GPSd from the applications menu
6) Run TomTom from the applications menu

Configure TomTom:
1) Set preferences (such as distance/time format)
2) Choose "Other GPS Device" from the GPS setup menu
3) Allow TomTom to turn on Bluetooth
4) Choose BiNPDA from the device list

That's it!

The maps MUST be in the root (along side the TomTom folder from the downloads).

i will try your "method" cos i made it: install bt.sisx and run it,instal GPSd.jar and run it,install tomtom.sisx, copy maps etc. to root...run tomtom, set gps devite etc. and it doesnīt work...

is this an official release? or are all these extra files just patches released by BiNPDA to trick TomTom into using the internal GPS?

DJBenson
17th May 2008, 01:26
Looks like a "hack" to get the internal GPS recognised as a bluetooth device. The application that runs in the background appears to patch the GPS into any application that uses the virtual driver. Not the definitive answer but looks that way at first glance.

Rol@N95d
17th May 2008, 01:28
Confirmed 2 work on the N95 8GB firmware 20.0.016

I started with opening the slider (signal strength) and then first started the GPS app from Nokia...
It connected in 5 seconds and then I started what bInpda wants us 2 do...

Brilliant

all it does is trick tomtom to use your internal gps , hopefully in the future there will be an update that makes tomtom remember the internal gps , but this is better than taking the gps unit around with you ;) or opt for route 66 version 8

you can only use tomtom maps on tomtom apps same with r66 works with only r66 maps , look on demonoid for the maps ;) ( if demonoid invites are needed then pm me and i will send you one )

Sorry, No.

It's a big file and it would take me a long time to uplad to a different site tonight, but i might be able to do it sometime next week, possibly monday.

Until then, you can take a look at the TomTom forum and see if there are any links from different hosting sites.

Where do I agree with new voices, in which folder ????
Voices normally go in "Voices" folder.

However, some versions of Tomtom don't recognise that folder so put the voice files in the Tomtom folder instead - it can find them there.

watership
17th May 2008, 02:50
the folder contains the map file and a few other files ( for a normal benelux map folder you get the following in the folder ... benelux mid , benelux mms , benelux pna , cline.dat,cname.dat,cnode.dat,faces.dat,map info.dat, map settings.cfg,poi.dat,tmccodes.dat,traffic.dat and traffic.inc ), sometimes you can download a map where someone has included the speed cams as well , but you can delete those if not needed

Thanks for the release. Works on my N95. One question. When I run the GPSd it asks for "Allow application GPSd to use network and send or receive data?"
If i say no I get an error
"java.lang
Security Exception:
Permission = javax
microsedition.io.connector.serversocket.
Run TomTom and it cannot find a receiver.
If I say yes to the network request TomTom works fine and find the virtual GPS.
Does this use the mobile network which incurrs charges? I have set in navigation settings of the phone to only use internal GPS.
Hope not. Love have Tomtom.

do have maps for Estonia on that dvd? or if it is in eastern europe pack and you can't upload just maps for Estonia, then maybe you can link a torrent for that dvd so i it would be much faster end easier for you.

Dont understand your enthousiasm for such an outdated product. We already use TT 8 on PNA, and your version and maps is 2 years old (maps even older, dont confuse publishing with rendering date). But if you live in a country where streets never change I can understand you can run something outdated. And you Sygic-Bashers: Teleatlas McGuider belongs to...Tomtom (OEM-Version from Sygic). But dont want to ruin the party, just think before you dance...

yes m8 you need a key gen to activate it. you also need the midi file that comes in your map folder.

Once you have the key gen just drag and drop the midi file onto the key gen file. this opens a dos screen just input your device id and it generates a activation code.

I'm using the data transfer cable, its rare I use PC suite.

hi mate..

if u say yes to "allow application GPSd to use network and send or recieve data.. " it will connect internet (by GPRS) to get satellite list for A-GPS (Assisted GPS) (if it needs to) this happens if u didnt use int-gps long time or for faster gps connection type..
SO....ofcourse it will cost (and there is no way to make it use W-LAN), but its a very small data.

I've done what you have suggested countless times. I've also used XPlore to see if there are any other files to remove just in case. Could it be that its failing to find the map? Should it be contained in a folder or the just the raw file itself?

and delete TOMTOM folder from memory-card also (for who had errors like, "tomtom is not starting, only globe pic spinning / connecting to bluetooth device and keeps waiting...and then not connecting")

STEP-3: make a folder like TOMTOM-PATCH on your phone's memory-card, and copy these files in it..
*bt.sisx
*GPSd.jar
*tomtom.sisx

STEP-4: copy TOMTOM folder (what you had unpacked and came from 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar file) to root of your memory-card of ur phone..

STEP:5 now unplug ur memory-card or ur phone from computer, and open any file-browser in your phone, go to folder TOMTOM-PATCH

STEP-6: Install 1.bt.sisx, 2.GPSd.jar Install 3.tomtom.sisx

STEP-7: Run "bt" from the applications menu (once is enough, it will add a virtual bluetooth device) (this can be uninstalled later if u need) and no need to run everytime before u open tomtom!!

STEP-8: Run "GPSd" from the applications menu (open this everytime before you open tomtom)
(GPSd app will ask some connections, you have to say yes to all, otherwise it wont connect int-GPS with tomtom.. saying yes to "allow application GPSd to use network and send or recieve data.. " it will connect internet (by GPRS) to get satellite list for A-GPS (Assisted GPS) (if it needs to) this happens if u didnt use int-gps long time or for faster gps connection type..
SO....ofcourse it will cost (and there is no way to make it use W-LAN), but its a very small data.)

STEP-9: Run TomTom from the applications menu and

Configure TomTom:

1) Set preferences (such as distance/time format)
2) Choose "Other GPS Device" from the GPS setup menu
3) Allow TomTom to turn on Bluetooth
4) Choose "BiNPDA GPS" from the bluetooth device list

then wait for connection...

DONE!

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an "external" receiver, you may need
to click on "tomtom receiver", and then "other receiver" to get the list of devices again.

*This patch doesnt work or connect to int-gps when the phone is in OFFLINE-MODE... (:oops2: first bug...)

Tested on Nokia E90 with UK and major routes of WE maps and it works perfectly. Great job. I also used it for proper routing and it worked amazingly perfectly. Mind you E90 is the phone to use this software due to its internal screen size and of course the GPS functionality.
App Version: 6.020 (8300)
Map Version: V675.1409

they are called

Again, both do NOT work, so until someone posts a UK map that works, we're not navigating anywhere!

what i did was, fisrt i did uninstall tomtom then deleted TOMTOM folder with Y-browser (3rd party file browser app).
but there was still folders about tomtom called VOICES, RASTER and my map..i didnt need to delete them.. deleting tomtom folder was enough..

for example: few experiences i had about tomtom,
*when i did put some more extra voices, i dont get that globe opening animation..it just waits at empty screen, but it opens tomtom..

*when i did put little more POI (more then 30) it didnt see any of them, i guess extra POI limit is 30..

and after i installed new Binpda tomtom, i did wait that globe animation like 15-20 sec. maybe it checks something for a while after first install..

i hope u dont need to format ur memory-card to solve that problem... :afraid:

Now mark all 3 archives "bin5812" , right mouse button, extract->you will recive bt.sisx,GPSd.jar,tomtom.sisx and 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root. Hi,

I have some problems to install this on my device. On my N95 following fw is installed:

20.0.015

Now I am not able to bypass step 1:

1) Install 1.bt.sisx. Run it. It should say "Device added"
At this point you can also uninstall it - it is no longer needed.

When I try to install bt.sisx following error message appears: "Datei fehlerhaft" in english maybe "wrong file".

Does anyone has the same error and how to fix it? I hope you can help me. Thx

I know I have installed it right, but I don't think I put the TomTom folder in the right place or not. My Memory card on my phone is E\ So I just copied it straight to E not in any folders. So it's E\TomTom now. And I downloaded some Australian maps and extracted them into the TomTom folder.

So I start the GPSD app first, then start TomTom and says no maps found. Am I doing this right or not ? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Smae here I can't get mine to work, keep getting the same error as D3adly. ............................................. And I downloaded some Australian maps and extracted them into the TomTom folder.

and that is your mistake. you have to create a folder on E:/ with the name of your map. in my case it's E:/Western Europe

so you need to have a TomTom folder and a map folder on E:/drive

try this way

EDIT: btw, i installed the bt.sisx, the GPSd.jar and TomTom.sisx to fone memory, but copied the TomTom folder from the link to E: drive and the mapfolder, too.

did you try to reboot the device after installin all needed apps? maybe this could help.

or uninstall everything and give it another shot. btw, which device do you use?

oh right ok i will try that

already done that still no luck!

N95 with latest firmware,

i just noticed something, i disabled bluetooth GPS and it came up with loads of satellites, i kept the GPS manager open and went to GPSd, that recognized a satellite and latitudes started popping up, but then when i open tomtom it asks to connect to BiNPDA GPS, but bluetooth isnt on... and it does not recognize and lock on to anything... :S the GPSd is getting stuff, why isnt tomtom? plus shall i activate bluetooth gps?

thanks!

That's brilliant...if you want to know what camera's were in the database last year (it's May 2007 version) :D

do you really think they change the positions of fixed cameras all the time?

i mean i know alot of them in my surrounding and they are there since years now, so i think its better to have this ones then nothing, right? and the mobile places will be used since years also.

but this is only my experience

no, i only activate -assisted- and -integrated GPS-

switch the bluetooth to -OFF- this way you force TomTom to ask you whether it should switch on the bluetooth. check -yes- on this question. but start GPSd before starting Tomtom and click the right menu button on GPSd to hide this app and leave it runnin in the background.

Fixed camera's are subjected to vandalism, stretches of motorway have SPECS camera's moved all the time (the M6 is notorious for having SPECS moved up and down the road works) and not to mention mobile camera's.

Personal preference though, if you're happy driving around with 12 month old data that's fine, a little harder look on the same page would reveal a copy from this year before the site that releases the updates starting adding copy protection that has effectively ended sharing of the database. Last leaked version was 23 Jan 2008 as far as I have found.

i use a camery database from 01. march 2008 but its only for germany, switzerland and austria.

and here in germany the situation with fixed cameras isn't as worse as on your side, hehe, so if you use a year old database, your on a rather 'safe side'

Its uk and ireland it has some files like poi.dat and cline.dat also a .pna and .meta file. there ar lots other .dat files. So i tried putting all of these files witouth folder in the root memory card and no success so i put them without folder in the tomtom folder witouth success! I tried the folder names and everything, adding folders and renaming the .meta file to .mid file but it isnt picking my maps up! What should i do?

Well mate, you seem to have found yourself another map-version then the one working with this version of tomtom...

Try to find a 675 map for uk and ireland... this will surely work for you...

Ok. Working well on n95 8gb using australian map 6.75. However no one has said anything about the graphics. It seems rather pixelated compared to other newer satnavs. I suppose its because of the map or the larger screen on the phone but same resolution as smaller screen phones ?

hy gents,

i'm really, really impressed, wow

a big hand to BinPDA for this possibility.

i deleted TomTom on my device because of 'not usin internal GPS'

but now.........................

a big THX for this great BinPDA release.

btw, got it workin in not even 5 minutes, hehe

the crews are very busy these days, i guess

and................ to start GPSd before startin TomTom is a very 'small' price for this, right??

yeahhhhhhhhh nice one!!! :egdance:

Tomtom is the best? But arent they slow in updating their maps unlike Garmin

I originally have Tomtom installed in my N95 already.

installed bt.sisx (N95 8GB "memory card", then uninstalled)
installed gpsd.jar

Then everything seems to work, gpsd can get a lock, and tomtom can "see" BinPDA GPS and I can select it. But it is stuck at the stage "Connecting to GPS device".

Is fresh install of TomTom a must?

Edit: Got it working now... Fresh install is a MUST! Those of you who have TomTom installed already, but would like to make use of this internal GPS mod, uninstall your original tomtom and install this TomTom file again. It works straight away!

When you consider all aspect of a GPS software, for example, userfriendless, accuracy, menu layout, voice command...etc IMO, TomTom is the winner. Hence the reason why so many of us here have been praying for the release of this internal GPS patch!

Put your map in the same level of the folder "TomTom"

i.e., in your memory card's root, there should be folders of:

TomTom
Guam
France
.....etc etc

GPS is radio reception and free to all. Assisted GPS will use your cellular network to obtain data to get a quicker initial fix of you current location. Very little data is downloaded and it is often free on networks.

You can turn OFF the 'Assisted GPS' on the Nokia N95 (Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning Methods) and just use GPS.

A very useful 'virtual BT GPS device' !

NOTE: when starting the TomTom the BT will be powered on, but once the application has connected to the 'virtual BT GPS device" - you can turn off BT to save battery power and the GPS link will remain active without any real BT.

Brilliant hack/work ! Well done ! Much appreciated by 1,000s!!
