budget: about 1000$
usage: 70% gaming! 15% composing music! 15% internet and so on!
My old pc now:
2.4 intel(not bad!)
40GB h.d.d (Damn it!)
ati radeon 7000(its like ***!)
512 ram(?)
I Dont want to change my monitor! Its good!

since your more on gaming , i suggest you buy vid card, nvidia 8 series or 9 series, ram sould be at least 2gb,hdd, you can upgrade to 750gb or 1 terrabyte..

Depends where u live mate, if u Live in states or europe, then go for dell, they have better gaming laptop called XPS under 1000$, and if u want dell PC then ur laughing, u will get good one.
No need to go for hardisk more than 260gb, Thg u need to watch is Better processer, atleast 2 gb ram (preferable 4gb) if Running window vista, 2gb is fine too and better graphic card.(Depends on compatibility with ur processer)

That depends again on ur processer, if it Amd then will be Ati, if intel then Nvidia. I will prefer intel and Nvidia. Gr8 combination and u will see the result any other question don' hestiate. Enjoy bro
