Yes! There is the same thing on my iPod Touch!

i used the link the convert the plist into ascii. then entered my serial and copied it to the ipod. after a reboot it still does not work.

I put the file into "/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences" but Touchpad Pro (4.11), didn't change; whe iPhone connect to Windows (through WinVC), appears yet the message "Activation Required. Your need to act...". "Unable to connect to Touchpad Media Server..." . So i press OK two times and have it in black screen. Any idea? Maybe another special setting?. Tnx all "foreros".

I used winSCP to transfer the file, when the file is in /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences
folder rightclick on the file, properties and mark the R W X options.

Now that touchpad pro has been updated to version 4.2 this crack no longer works :( has anyone found another way to do this?

Th file is a 7zip file. You can download 7-zip here ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). Then just Unzip after that you just have to do what the readme file says..

The Touchpad-Pro-4.2-Patch.7z link works fine, i just checked. you need to extract the files in 7z archive and follow the instructions in readme.txt. Did you do all this?

ok so download the file from the rapidshare link and unzip it using something like 7zip.

First you have to edit the "com.touchpadpro.plist" file by opening it with notepad and replacing the 11 "X"'s with your serial number (found on the iPod/iPhone under Settings < General < About).

Then SSH into your iPod/iPhone and go into the /Applications folder. Drop the "touchpad" file into the Touchpad.app folder.

Then go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences and drop the edited .plist file in there. Everything should start working now :)

yes I followed all the directions, and the app just quits to the springboard. I even executed the command on the file too.

You have to replace the binary in order to get 4.2 working. So when you want to apply the crack to 4.21 you have to replace the 4.21 binary with the one from 4.2. It works but you'll have 4.2 afterwards..

Just put the file contained in the Touchpad.zip into /Applications/TouchPad.app/ Folder. Furthermore you again need the same plist edit what you've done with the 4.2 plist..

That's the crack for 4.31

This is the File you are chmodding: place it in this folder /Applications/Touchpad.app/

Inside this Folder is already an File called touchpad (the Binary). Replace it. Do your chmod if neccessary and you're done.
You don't need any plist with this crack.

Do you even have chmod on your iphone? You need to have the BSD subsystem package installed. what output do you get when you just type 'chmod' on your terminal?

I do have them. When I type chmod I says usage: chmod blah blah bunch of letters and stuff. Can't copy paste since I'm on my phone

Damn i wish i could get this to work - it looks awesome.
Tried all sorts including all techniques in this forum, always ending up at the same result:
Touchpad works as usual (to control screen) but the Screenview doesnt. It says thanks for activating but still shows the black screen. If I go to edit server and tap screenview on (or Hi-Def) and then tap save it makes no difference. I still see black screen. And when I go back to Edit Server again, the ScreenView is shown as off again.
Both relevant files are set to correct permissions and are in the correct locations.
Nothing seems to work. Maybe its because the initial install was v4.43? any ideas?
