Hi Guys
treated myself to a TomTom730 as my Go classic is years old but still works perfectly well dont know why l did it just had a mad moment l guess.
So what l did thinking l could be clever (which l am not) was to make a full back up of the map from the new 730.
Then l thought l would copy this onto my Go classic SD card which l did with no problems.
Put the SD card into my Go Classic swiched on it starts ok but then comes up with a screen which states NO MAPS FOUND and nothing else happens?
Checked the SD card in my card reader and the maps are definately there!
Can l do something to get it working guys or am l on a lost cause here!
Any advise or help would be appreciated,Thanks for reading.

TT Go730 comes with navcore v8 and maps v8 also, so you need a patched navcore v8 to read v8 maps and also you need to create the meta.dct file for your other TT. Simple no? :exactly:

Actually his name is ALEX not ALEC....and his advise is smart....read the forums....what you have done is no more or less than anyone else, except that most downloaded someone elses backup instead of making one of their own. Also remember it is still illegal to use on your GO, even though it is legal on your 730.

How should we understand from your post that your question was just about shortcut? :)
One more thing. If you read the forum and know the difference between Navcore 7 and Navcore 8, as well as a problem with activation of version 8 maps, what do you think about possibility to make such shortcut without ID of your Go classic?
By the way, amleite already gave you detail answer what you should do. I will repeat it.
1. You need to install Navcore 8 at your Go classic.
2. You need to copy the map from 730 to Go classic.
3. You need to activate this map.
All these steps are described in the threads which I gave you above.
