Does any software problem cause any hardware problem.
Like if you delete a partition(either primary or extended) and stop the process at the middle.

I have delete partition in many time plus make 2 or 3 partition for windows xp, vista and ubuntu, some time there have problem with sound and modem usb but I have drivers and utilities cd come with nvidia chipset maidboard they will sort out all sound and graphic, modem usb driver cd come from my ISP so they sort out too. without cd It will get a big problems.
If you have cd It will be ok.

Of course yes. But you can still repeat the process so that it will be fixed.
