View Full Version : TT One 1st edition, 720_1803 maps won't work
omemerde 21st May 2008, 10:38 Hello all,
could anyone explain to me why 720_1803 western and central europe does not work in a tomtom one first edition ?
I've copied all files from the (still) working SD card into a directory on my PC.
I've added the map Western_and_Central_Europe_720_1803 onto the new SD card and copied all data from the working SD card onto the new SD card as well.
the new Western_and_Central_Europe_720_1803 is not reconized, I've updated the OS with TT Home (old version, new version won't connect).
I've figured out that I'm missing a .mds file for the new map.
That's it. Hope you can help to get this going.

blueeyes123 21st May 2008, 13:40 You Should Have v7.163 Classic or v7.162 For The One
You Should Have Cracked The meta.dct,,,ttsystem
omemerde 21st May 2008, 14:15 7.162 is installed, the map however won't be reconized. I think it's caused by the missing .mds file for the Western_and_Central_Europe_720_1803 map (placed in root).
Perhaps there's someone here who got this working ?
You Should Have Cracked The meta.dct,,,ttsystem
what do you mean by this ? In the map-dir there's a file ( Western_and_Central_Europe-13.meta )
Something else, if I place the SD card in a TT Go 720 the map is reconized immediately (and working).
THanks

blueeyes123 22nd May 2008, 12:08 Put cracked ttsystem In Your Root
If That Dont Work Then You Need To Crack .meta To Get New .meta.dct
use (Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck) You Can get Off The Forum
ludde28 22nd May 2008, 13:55 After coppying maps to SD-card, you have to:
1. patch your original navcore (ttsystem) so you can use cracked maps.
2. You need meta-file for the new map.
3. create dct-file for the new map.
Easiest way to do that is with:
Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck
If you want to use TTHome (for remote TT and mapsharing) you have to also patch the TThome dll-file. Use the same prog. as above.
Maps v7 & v8 do not use mds-and mac-files, only maps v.6 do need them.

So,ome merde, I have excactly the same problem.
tomtom one v1 ,put on a blanc card navcore 7.162 and Western_and_Central_Europe_720_1803 map, done everything wat has to be done and the result is that my tomtom home sees the navcore and the map.
Wenn I start the device he says there are no maps.:ashamed:

MrGPS 24th May 2008, 04:15 I have the exact same problem when trying to load USA and Canada map 720_1803 on my TT One 3rd Edition. I followed exactly as it was described in the video. When I turn on my TT it got stuck on the TomTom screen. The only way to turn it off is through the reset button. I had to restore from my last backup to get it working again.
flodder11 24th May 2008, 12:38 I also did the mapcheck for all maps on your TT device.
And the map is there.
I tried the actvmap 4.7 an I got the same result as with easyusetool.
There is something wrong, perhaps our old tomtom one V1 is too old.

Where did you get the map? If it was from uzin222 upload then he has said he made a mistake with the version name. it should read 720_1802 (not 1803)
the Meta text should read 720_1802 as well.
Try renaming the map folder to USA_and_Canada_720.1802 and check that it says :
AB 26 81 FB B9 E5 82 D4 BE 4D 14 92 B5 A4 F4 4C USA_and_Canada-14.meta
; USA_and_Canada_720_1802
in the Meta list.
(note again 1802 not 1803) and try again. Mine works.

Thanks, but got it sorted.
flodder11 1st June 2008, 00:38 I have got it working with my tomtom one v1
first I changed the navcore from 7162 into 7.522
Because there was enough space on the sd-card i put on the sd card also benelux 710.1561 and with easytools automatic nr 1 this workt at once but not the wec europe map.
So I took out of the wec europe map the meta and pna and put them in the ""insert_meta_from_Map_here"" and then run the ""runmeforDCT.
After this I took the DCT out of the ""insert meta from map here"' and put it in wec europe map on the sd-card.AND THEN IT WORKED.
It sounds easy after all.
And the mystery is the Runmeforallautomatic not worked with 720.1803 .
