Ok illusion help me out here. After i install root sign certificate then when i sign other files (Non binpda) using the traditional method it doesnt work says certificate error but when i sign the file with rootsign then it works. So I request you to kindly post the rootsign certificate and key as I use mobisign and I like to sign my applications in the phone itself. ;)

just found out that this doesn't work with vista properly... well for me it doesn't, i put it on my XP laptop and it worked a treat, but on my main vista desktop it creates errors and stuff, just to let you guys know!

Thats coz you may not have installed Miscrosoft dot net framework. you need that for this to work. ;) Its working without any flaws on my vista.


Come on guys any clue where the certificate and key can be found so that I can sign the non binpda apps on my phone itself. ;)

Firstly, you need to have Secman Installed on your Device,
Secaondly, must Sign it with Root Sign v10 and then Install..
After signing with Root Sign, Signed file will be renamed in Capital letters.

Ah! mate you did a Mistake here,
we don't consider TRK port, we just look com ports at PC side..
Use Secman again and choose com24 as you said and then you will be able to install the Secman for your phone, then follow the instructions.. :)

New firmware version= 210.34.75 (12-4-2008).

I get the following error when installing trk file:
unable to install: component is built-in!

On the previous firmware I had no problems!

please help me i have install to my nokia N95 8GB the latest firmware , i have hack my phone but i am facing problem with some applications , like nokmote , previously i could sign it with no problem , but now after sign with mobilesigner , i get certificate error.
with some applications the sign works and with some others don;t . i have try to change back the date but it does not work . Also now i take certificate error to applications which previously ,i don't even need sign ,(like sygic 7.099

I have made [format] in my telephone, before make installation each did application… now no I read in the beginning who step it should I make this?Please keep in mind, if you format / upgrade your phones firmware, you'll need to do steps 1 & 2 again and after that manually install those apps from Application Manager.

FP means Feature Pack, like SP (e.g SP1, SP2 = Service Pack) on Windows.
If you confused, you can check it on your phone. Go to Menu-->Settings-->Data Manager-->About.
I have Nokia 6120 classic its belongs to FP 1, so I install trk with FP 1.

The next step is, you run SecMan.exe from your PC. click "Next"
Choose the COM port that your phone use, (if choose automatic, well, in my case it doesn't work, make the program (SecMan.exe) Not responding.)
To know your phone COM Port, Click "START"-->"RUN"-->type "devmgmt.msc"(w/o quotes")-->Ok.
Look for "Ports (COM & LPT) rundown it and search for your connected phone.

to sign unsigned apps other then BinPDA, use Rootsign to sign the apps.
for example, I signed Killer Mobile Total Recall v3. unsigned that cracked by illusion with RootSign. then install it with ease...., no problem at all.

When I try it with RootSiGN.exe I also get the message 'unable to install protected application from an untrusted supplier'

anybody knows why i get an error when i try to sign it :S it says cannot instal cert :S

I am also having the same issue with the n95 8gb and app_trk.

From what i have been reading (g00gle),
There's the one for:
'NO FP1' - Pre-FP1-fones.
'FP1' - Newer fones With FP1.
'FP2' - Which is aparrently what the n95 is, but was running in FP1 mode until updated, is only recognised as FP2 once you have upgraded to the latest firmware.

Unfortunately, binpda's release only convers fp1 & pre-fp1.
Hope they can figure this fp2 out, would be cool.

If i am incorrect in any of this info i have accumulated, please let me know.
But this is the conclusion i have come to,
So am now hoping BinPDA can help us once again.

I confirm it works flawlessy with Nokia N95 30.0.018 firmware (if you got "already installed component" message try this it works superb) and don't forget to patch older aplications with rootsign

for all that want to get rid of the binswicert-icon (that you can not uninstall when installation failed on phones with new firmware, here the solution:
follow the phoniex software suite installaton described here:

after that, go to c:\private\10003a3f\import\apps over phoenix phone browser, and delete the binswicert-file there.
restart phone in phoenix software in normal mode (as described in the link posted above), after that disconnect, and the icon is finally gone.
