- Replace touchpad file inside /Applications/Touchpad.app directory
- Start Touchpad and Click on Activate -> Check Registration

Hi !

You have to SSH into your iPhone.
If you run a MAC open a terminal and type this:
scp <PATH_TO_THIS_BINARY_LOCALLY>/touchpad <IPHONE_IP_ADDRESS>:/Applications/Touchpad.app
Or you could just use Fugu.

On windows you can try using WinSCP. It's like an FTP client except you connect on your iPhone.

It won't work with CuteFTP. You need to have an SSH server running on your iPhone (if it's jailbreaked it is very likely that you already have SSH). Then connect to it using WinSCP.

Be sure that SSH is installed *AND* running (bossPrefs to toggle it on/off for instance).

Launch winscp, and in the Host Name put the IP address of your iPhone, User name should be "root" and the password must be "alpine" if you have 1.1.3 or above.

Then just browse to /Applications and do ur thang ;D

Try reconnecting a few times, if it doesn't work, either the SSH is not enabled, either you need to find something to hang yourself (the USB iPhone connector will do the trick) :D

First install the Touchpad application and make sure everything works for you. then copy the file named 'touchpad' into your '/Applications/Touchpad.app' directory on your iPhone. If you dont know how to copy files onto your iphone search the forum, there are plenty of threads explaining it in great detail or search google.

hi guys!
so i got the touchpad.app replaced, but now the icon is gone from my homescreen! if i try to open the app with the help of the mobilefinder, the screen turns black for a second, and then i'm back to the homescreen again! it sounds like the problem described in the read me file....but i have no idea what is meant!
i'm a mac user! so if anyone can help me, please do!!!! thanks!

I've just installed the 4.3 v and your patch does not work when I try to activate. I can move my mouse but nothing more. I continiue to say that it's an unregistred version

Test your TightVNC setup by trying to connect from another PC. Read the TightVNC documentation ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). Most probably you need to configure the firewall on your PC to allow tightvnc connections.

if its not working use the old vnc version and start it in USER MODE that's how it finally worked for me :P

I copied the file across using AFP'd, replaced it by "showing package contents" then replacing the touchpad file, now when i try to open touchpad, it just hangs on the opening screen with the logo but doesn't load. any ideas???

This is becuase the files dont have execute permission. This has been discussed several times and is also mentioned in the readme.txt. If you are on mac use iFuntastic or setup OpenSSH server.

copied it oevr (4.32) but it shows no "activation" key or anything after i reboot???? anyne? the older cracks were working perfectly
