Hi guys this his the new s60ticker

now with new features:

note: for edit just use xplore (disable caps first) and go to:

C:\\ Private \\ 200046e6\\ and edit the cfg file

Description of all available settings for each category:

Option
Value
Description

#1 General

Position
- top
- bottom
Primary screen location of the ticker band.

Position (offset)
0..200 pixel
Absolute border distance in pixel depending on the above location.

Speed
0..5 speed level
Speed level (0 is slowest).

Visible
- anywhere
- Standby screen
If set to “Standby screen” the ticker band is visible only at the device standby screen and if S60 menu window is visible.

Header (clock)
- on
- off
If set to “on” the ticker header – currently only as type “clock” supported – is visible.

Autostart
- on
- off
If set to “on” will automatically start the ticker (S60TickerServer) into background/standby mode after a device reboot.
If set to “off” the ticker is not active after a device reboot.

Hotkey
- disabled
- <C>Backspace (long key press)
- Joystick<OK> (long key press)
- Shift+Joystick<OK>
If enabled the hotkey can be used in two ways:
- Show a hidden ticker
- A visible ticker gets focus and will receive the following key inputs:
1. Pressing “C/DEL” cancels the current visible ticker element.
2. Cursor/joystick Up/Down switches to top or bottom location. If pressed again it will hide the ticker band.
3. Cursor/joystick Left/Right adjusts the ticker speed.

Device idle mode
- ignore
- prevent
If set to “prevent” keeps the device active as long as there are active ticker items in progress.
The backlight kept on – no screensaver will appear.

Inactivity timeout
5..300 seconds
If ticker elements are active and no more user activity recognized this is the timeout to automatically hide the ticker.
This option is ignored if “Device idle mode” is set to “prevent”.

Alarm display duration
-1,0..600 seconds
Display duration for system alarm ticker elements. If set to “0” no alarm messages are displayed – the function is disabled. If set to “-1” the duration is endless or till the alarm is canceled – the ticker element can be canceled by pressing “C/DEL” (see hotkey).

Theme support

(Supported for Nokia S60 FP1 onwards)

If set to “on” the current theme used for the ticker look.
If set to “off” there are separate options available to set text and background colors.

Color text/background
(red, green, blue)
0..255
If above theme support is set to “off” these options can be used to set individual RGB-color values for ticker text and background.

Font
(Any available system font)
Current used font for ticker text.

Font size (in twips)
0..3000 twips
Current used font size in twips for above option ticker text font.

#2 Incoming SMS

Display duration
-1,0..600 seconds
Display duration for incoming SMS ticker elements. If set to “0” no incoming SMS are displayed – the function is disabled. If set to “-1” the duration is endless – the ticker element must be canceled by pressing “C/DEL” (see hotkey).

Mark as read
- yes
- no
If incoming SMS are processed they can be marked as read. No more new-message-dialog will appear.

Show total message
- yes
- no
If set to “no” only the individual amount of characters are displayed (see option “Number of chars”). If set to “yes” the total message text is displayed.

Number of chars
0..any
Number of chars that are display if option “Show total message” is set to “no”. A value of “0” will just show senders information.

Counter
0..any
The number of processed incoming messages. This counter can be set to any value, any time too.

#3 Incoming Mail
(IMAP4, POP3, Exchange, BlackBerry Connect)

Individual message text to be displayed in demo mode.

Clock, Reminders and Alarm are also display in S60ticker!

I understand you my friend.

When you edit the cfg file, save it and shutdown your phone and restart it ;).

Attetion the musicplayer isn't avaialble for edit, we have to wait but all other works fine ;)

The server is the application... But the application it self must be buy it so I put the trick above to edit the server without the main application... I hope it's clear for you now :)

So I have 2 buy the ticker app and can edit this 2 crack it?

There R 2 apps 2 make it work:

1) Ticker
2) Tickerserver

No, you don't need to buy it If you use my trick above ;)

So you don't need the Ticker app only the Server because you can edit from xplorer!

Ok put the files in each location and restart your phone... I hope it works...

in c\\private put the folder 200046e6

in c\\resource\\apps\\put the file of the attachment resource

in c\\sys\\bin\\put the file os the sys\\bin of the attachment

eh, thanks but it doesn work for me. its nice to edit file in private folder, but it doesnt change color, or move ticker to bottom. pitty. it has to be good cracked or whatever, this way doesnt work for me.

You must edit and restart the phone for the changes be apply.

Works 100% on my N95-1 latest firmware (hacked).

If, when you install the server (s60ticker), the ticker appear on the screen it works, belive in me...

yes it appear on the display, you can delete whole demo message, autostart, but you cant position ticker to bottom....

My apolagies, I think you knew how to do it... It's not hard to edit the file, just pay attention to each line you are editing.

Do not edit the music player, it's no avaible now, only in the future release :)

You don't add other app information...! They're added in upgrades by the producer ;)

so it'll only show the sms/alarams ? no exchange emails notifications ?

You don't have the app interface you must use my trick to change the settings.

You can see, your personal message, incoming sms, reminders, calenders reminders, birthday reminder, incoming email... more features will be added in the future like Mp3 playlist, weather forecast, news feeds etc...

I changed the cfg file and now i'll wait to see how it works.

Basically the cfg file is the program :LoL:

Don't forget allways to save the changes and restart the phone to changes take effect.

hi, read it carefully first page!
you have to have hacked phone and then you can access private folders and there you will find configuration file where you can edit all the options.
BUT you dont have to do it there is new version good cracked on this forum just search!
