Here's the hack for E51 with new firmware


when you install the app just open it, open Menu1 and answer Yes when prompted (Yes/No)
the app will exit. You're phone has all the caps right now. But there is one problem, you can't open any new apps. So I suggest that you open X-Plore before running the app and downloading the installserver.exe from this forum before you run this appliaction.

So:

1. Install the hellocabride app from the attachment
2. copy installserver.exe from this attachment to your phone (if using BT it will be in the Inbox )
3. run X-PLore
4. switch to the menu and run the hellocabride application
5. Press options and chose Menu1
6. Answer Yes (it will be the right soft key)
7. The app will close.
8. Navigate to X-Plore and copy the installserver.exe to c:\sys\bin (remember to set x-plore to see hidden and system folders/files )

you're done, you can install any unsigned app even with full capabilities from now on (ROMPatcher, BiNPDA Platform Security) to be able to turn off/on caps of the Symbian Operating system in the future with ease

hello friendsssssssss now my n82 black is sleeping. i confirmed with my friend as he s JAF then he affirmed that he could downgrade the firmware thus i agreed.
my plan was to downgrade it to v20 then hacked and patched it then upgrade to v30. however now my phone cannot start anymore. it s lazy, maybe then he s now sleeping...
i was told that he can rescue it when the firmware of v30 is available for upgrade offline...
friends, you know where can i get the offline file to upgrade the v30 for my n82? i really need it to be waking up...

2- upgrade ur firmware

u can back up ur phone 1st with all installed apps,
and u can format ur phone and make a backup of only hellpcarbide installed
so that way u have two back up, back up of ur apps, and another back up if u formated ur phone
i think this is the ultime sollution for all new firmware

Just to confirm, the HelloCarbide/installserver method is still working on N95 8GB v30.0.018. With CProfDriver_SISX.ldd, CapsOn and CapsOff are working just fine as well. I didn't test ROMPatcher.

dude what file browser are you using? try active file it lets you modify and not just view c:\sys and c:\private ..had the same problem as you..i dont have any problems in installing since my n82 was previously hacked before updating to v30..but then i forgot to do the brightness hack..with X-plore you wont be able to access c sys and c private ...when i installed Active File ..it gives you access to those crucial folders...it let me do the brightness hack which involves copy pasting and deleting a file in c private etc ...try it. you can search for the file in this great forum.:egdance:

FCA made another proof-of-concept for the hacking.
I think it works on all S63v3 phones.
First, you need to install any file browser, for example FExplorer or SExplorer.
Then, download and install

http://FCA00000.googlepages.com/HelloCarbide.sisx

Start your file browser. Go to C:
Try to access c:\sys
It should fail because don't have permissions.
Don't close the browser.

Start HelloCarbide
Options->Menu1
it will say 18 messages. Say YES to all of them.
It will crash. That is OK

Switch to the task for the file browser.
Try again to access c:\sys
It should work.

Now you can't open any other application. You need to restart your phone.

If this process doesn't work, send me all the messages, and the files
e:\x6C117000.bin
and
e:\x6C117000b.bin

If it works, I will enhance this. But first I want to know that it allows all-browsing.

Note: if you are using X-plorer, you need to activate the option to see hidden and system files/folders.

nope doesn't work. crashes without giving 18 errors. I had 18 errors with new hellocarbide. but even after chooosing yes to all 18 and crashing couldn't open c:sys/ :S

Check the drakkarious method in sticky threads...
u need 2 drop 2 files in sys/bin.....

maybe that's the problem....

one question.. before you run HelloCarbide, are you closing the X-plore or the file browser that you're using? if yes, do not exit, just go to the menu and run HelloCarbide so when it crash you can still open the file browser and be able to access c:\sys...

The problem is, the files cannot be copied in the sys/bin, cuz it does not allow them to be copied there.

In the older firmware sys and other system folders could be accessed after hack, but after upgrading to v.3.0.0...... these folders cant be accesed????????????? so cannot extract the files in that location

But 102.x.x isn't even a major update so this suggests that Nokia didn't change anything speciali in this firmware, and also 102.x.x.x is the same as 100.07.xxx but Nokia mistakenly called this 102.x.x

N82 should have already come equipped with geotagging ability at day one, but they cut some functions here and there and pretend to give it to you later(via firmware update to v30), u think they re giving something to you when the fact is they re just giving back to you what they have taken away from you(yes u ve been cheated in a way), and along with it, a new security to CONTROL YOU...so u cant hack ur phone anymore...:exactly:

no confirmation but know this, its been more than a month since n96 was released, and it still remain UNHACKABLE till the present time.

n85 and n79 using the same fp2 symbian os9.3 as n96 and they are newer....

if i we re u ill go for n82(but check for the version, dont buy the already updated to v30.00..its unhackeble. N82 is the best nokia camera phone till ever....i missed it ..traded it for n96....n96 videos are very noisy...

After upgrading my phone to v30.0.015 I have successfully installed Drakarius hack on N95-1 with 4GB memory card...
I used the backup option on the phone itself (backup phone to memory card). The problem that I have right now is that many of the apps previously installed on the memory card are not working any more. My advice is that u format ur phone and as well as your memory vard and reinstall every thing again as u will be out of phone error.

You have no way, at least at the moment, to do a full backup either using your phone or PCsuite.

All latest nokia phones have this kind of problems because the latest firmware is made so that you can't hack your phone. So if hacking is working on your phone then I suggest that you leave it like it is, don't update your phone with latest firmware unless it is absolutely necessary. Users with problems will have to wait for hackers to solve this problems. I also can't hack my E66.

Start your file browser. Go to C:
Try to access c:\sys
It should fail because don't have permissions.
Don't close the browser.

Start HelloCarbide
Options->Menu1
it will say 18 messages. Say YES to all of them.
It will crash. That is OK

Switch to the task for the file browser.
Try again to access c:\sys
It should work.

Now you can't open any other application. You need to restart your phone.

If this process doesn't work, send me all the messages, and the files
e:\x6C117000.bin
and
e:\x6C117000b.bin

If it works, I will enhance this. But first I want to know that it allows all-browsing.

Note: if you are using X-plorer, you need to activate the option to see hidden and system files/folders.

Confirmed, I also had it working without any problems on v5.11 on my 6120c. But on v6.01, HelloCarbide doesn't work anymore. So stick to v5.11!!!

Because this topic started 6 months ago and Nokia blocked hacking since then. So 1-1. Then hackers came with a new solution: 2-1 for the hackers. Now Nokia blicked that ways of hacking too: 2-2. Now we have to wait until the hackers score again.

when you install the app just open it, open Menu1 and answer Yes when prompted (Yes/No)
the app will exit. You're phone has all the caps right now. But there is one problem, you can't open any new apps. So I suggest that you open X-Plore before running the app and downloading the installserver.exe from this forum before you run this appliaction.

So:

1. Install the hellocabride app from the attachment
2. copy installserver.exe from this attachment to your phone (if using BT it will be in the Inbox ;) )
3. run X-PLore
4. switch to the menu and run the hellocabride application
5. Press options and chose Menu1
6. Answer Yes (it will be the right soft key)
7. The app will close.
8. Navigate to X-Plore and copy the installserver.exe to c:\sys\bin (remember to set x-plore to see hidden and system folders/files ;) )

you're done, you can install any unsigned app even with full capabilities from now on (ROMPatcher, BiNPDA Platform Security) to be able to turn off/on caps of the Symbian Operating system in the future with ease ;)

You can use an other filemanager ofcourse, X-Plore isn't mandatory ;)

Remember to reboot the phone when you're done

ITS BEEN TESTED ON E51 WITH NEWEST FIRMWARE and ON N82 WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE

On Samsung i8510 (S60 v9.3 fp2, I think) hellocarbide does not seem to do anything and does not crashes. the x6c117000.bin
is 0bytes.

Wait for new hellocarbide.. as symbian s60v3 9.3/new firmware is still using C+, so there is chance for developing new hellocarbide. Hackers-coders is work on it.

Install Xplore 1.22 and Hellocarbide. Copy Installserver.exe (the 9.1 one) onto E:/Other dir or wherever u choose dir.
Run Xplore 1st but dont close it..press menu button. then run Hellocarbide, press menu, menu1,yes. close hello carbide, press and hold menu button,switch to Xplore (it still running on background). Now you will notice C:/Sys/Bin is revealed now..so Copy and Paste Installserver.exe to C:/sys/bin directory. Restart phone.

PS: If there is no Bin dir yet, u should create it. The point is We must put Installserver.exe to C:/sys/bin and using Hellocarbide to "See" the Sys directory. it so easy!:backtotopic:

anyhow, if by the end of Dec this year dont get a solution, i believe we should downgrade the firmware.. which can be done but we will need to bring it to a shop to do so....i will be do so soon... no need for any firmware updates anymore as i didn't see any difference except they locked up the mobile... no GPS no other programs... sad...

Message from somewhere shows someone work on PC software and driver for the system link (via USB) with phone, so it can "see" & "modify" any system files in the phone, as well to install any sis software into phone, no more to use x-explorer or y-browser.

The problem is the HelloCarbide didn't show up 18 error... but just one....

For me (E65 FW v4.x), HelloCarbide (at least the one I could install - form Drakkarious 3.01 FP1,FP2 & PreFP1.SiS) it quits on Menu1 and does nothing :(

I think Nokia releases new FW's mostly for "increasing platform security" which means hard to hack, I assume they've become many complains about how the new programs can be cracked so easily and maybe the 3rd party developers menaced the Finns that they stop developing applications which would again be pretty negative for Nokia. That's my version :D

I have a n96 with caps on off installed TRK manager and Profiler, profiler just restarts the phone and so does caps off and on, TRK works fine, just biz installers do not, although I have not had a non working theme yet (after self signing).

the patch to remove trials on ngage works to on my phone... am i just lucky.... P.S i posted in another thread that on N96 in mass memory there is a sys folder that is not accessible unless in mass memory USB transfer mode...

N96 is an Symbian 9 S60 FP2 device, I suspect that the theme you want to install is not signed (properly) or the certificate is outdated. Hacking your cell is not equal to making it accept unsigned apps/themes.
Please write down the exact message that appears on your screen when the failure occours.

Or maybe a patch that makes your phone memory show as a part of mass memory. Voila you are free to manipulate the phone mem sys files .
