Confirmed, I also had it working without any problems on v5.11 on my 6120c. But on v6.01, HelloCarbide doesn't work anymore. So stick to v5.11!!!

FCA made another proof-of-concept for the hacking.
I think it works on all S63v3 phones.
First, you need to install any file browser, for example FExplorer or SExplorer.
Then, download and install

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Start your file browser. Go to C:
Try to access c:\sys
It should fail because don't have permissions.
Don't close the browser.

Start HelloCarbide
Options->Menu1
it will say 18 messages. Say YES to all of them.
It will crash. That is OK

Switch to the task for the file browser.
Try again to access c:\sys
It should work.

Now you can't open any other application. You need to restart your phone.

If this process doesn't work, send me all the messages, and the files
e:\x6C117000.bin
and
e:\x6C117000b.bin

If it works, I will enhance this. But first I want to know that it allows all-browsing.

Note: if you are using X-plorer, you need to activate the option to see hidden and system files/folders.

I'm not able to do that, but remember that in the informatical environment nothing is impossible to do. The words "security", "unhackable", "safe" and so on are FAKE words.... Everything is possible. Surely needs application, time to spent, knowledge and really a lot of patience. We can only wait!

That new one seems to work better, i at least get the 18 "yes" options show up instead of the program just crashing. Still can't get into the sys folder though... Tried the new 1.30 of X-Plore but it still doesn't allow access to the sys folder...

E90 v300.34.84 cannot be hacked yet.
If you had the phone hacked with installserver before updating the FW to v300 and if you haven't done a hard reset since, you should still be able to install most unsigned apps, but you'll still be unable to access system folders (i.e. c:\sys\bin, c:\private, c:\resource, etc).

I tried to do it,but it prompted "certificate error'.

Dude if you would have studied the hacking threads then you would know that the N82 has user data preservation, so an upgrade doesn't hurt the files that are already on the phone. Since you made a format which obviously doesn't do that (UDP) you lost installserver.exe and with that the ability to install unsigned apps or apps with a broken cert. So you will not be able to install fexplorer or any other application which capabilities are more than the certificate allows.

Should have read the threads dude, now you're a gonner. No one can sign an app with all files capabilities so you could browse your secured directories on the phone except nokia :)

The only cure for your phone at the moment is a firmware downgrade

I agree with blesio: Definitely that's an old method, with old apps but a very nice and pretty tutorial.
I don't think it works on new FWs... but will wait for people that can try and post results.

Im installing xplore_symbian_lcg_1_30, then HelloCarbide, restart, then run xplore, minimize, start hellocabride, MENU1, only one confirmation, restore xplore and then you have full access to sys folders. Just remember to change in settings to show all hidden and system folders to ON.

Have you changed your username? 'Cause I can see you joined in Dec 2008, so it's not been a 2 or 3 months, it's barely been one or one and a half month top.

The thread could be renamed, that's true, but you just need a couple of minutes to realize the date it was posted and understand it's not for the newest firmwares.

A hack for new firmwares will arrive sooner or later, you should just wait as we all do and keep on checking the forum.
Also, please feel free to be the first one to provide ideas as you propose. We will all do the same if we have any (and I've seen several already when going through hundreds of threads).

Please, go through the different threads in this section and let us know if you find anything or if you have any new idea we can try. Most ideas have been posted in New threads.

What version of HC you are using? On mine it is asking only for one confirmation, on all tested phones (N95-2 8GB, N95, 6120c).

The only way to downgrade is with a box like JAF or MT (both are quite expensive for doing just a downgrade).
Another option is to take the phone to a Nokia Care (Service Center) and they may be able to do the downgrade (on a fee basis).
No, you can't copy a FW from one phone to another one.

Otherwise, keep on checking the forum for updates; sooner or later there'll be a new hack.

you did everything right, but this is an OLD method for OLD firmware and will not work on the NEW firmware such as yours... sorry, but you will have to wait like the rest of us...

U don`t need to hack n95 8gb to install garmin xt,so there U go,to update to latest version simply download file from garmin upack it copy garmin folder or modify your existing to keep your maps and stuff then copy garminxt.sis to your device and run it,I have done it plenty times no problem,everything work as cham,lol:goodluck:

Bud, you can request cert on here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Just read thread carefully - this way you will be able to sign any software with cert valid for next 24mhs for your phone.

Obviously you will get PC software for signing apps this way as well. Hope this helps! :goodluck:

New Hack Method For Unhackable Firmware

REQUISITE
- Phone With Firmware not Hackable

PROCEDURE
(a) For the one that doesn't have the Drive Y and he wants to emulate it to install MapDrive_Y.SISX (Sign and instal MapDrive_Y.SISX + install JBakTaskMan.sis)(For N82, N95, N95-8GB Etc )

(a2)For the one that doesn't have the Drive H and he wants to emulate it to install MapDrive_H.SISX (Sign and instal MapDrive_H.SISX + install JBakTaskMan.sis) (For Others)

You will find now 2 new programs MapDrives e JBakTaskMan

b ) Create a Folder E:/Hack/sys/bin/ in ur phone

c) Copy installserver.exe inside E:/Hack/sys/bin/installserver.exe ( please copy installserver.exe related to ur own Phone)

d) Start Now JBak Taskman soft and Hit (#) go (Struments -> Start App.ni -> select MapDrives -> Programs Rule -> select "AutoStart")

e) Restart Phone

Now To this point with any explorer ( x-plore Or Activefile etc ) you should see the new Emulated Drive, (depend on the file you installed)
(H: in the case you have installed : MapDrive_H.SISX)
(Y: in the case you have installed : MapDrive_Y.SISX)

f) Now Install Modo. And use modo file man to copy Installserver.exe to - Y:/sys/bin/ Or H:/sys/bin/( U have to create SYS\BIN by moto in ur Y Or H drive) ( please copy installserver.exe related to ur own Phone)

(g) Now the installation boundries have been broken and now you can install any unsign app without signing them.. Enjoy (You can install ROMPatcher, secman or anyother method to increase the further possibilities.)

If U Having Problem With Upper Method Try This Method :

1 - Install "Jbak TaskMan"
3 - Install Signed "MapDrives v1.00 DiskAdmin" then Install it in your phone.
4 - Copy the file "MapDrives.txt" to the root of the memory card(replace the existing one)
5 - Copy "Installserver" to the folder E:/Hack/sys/bin/ (create the folders)
6 - Run Jbak TaskMan --> press '#' button --> find the program "Map Drive" --> click Menu(left softkey) --> Program Rules --> Check "Autostart" checkbox
7 - Restart.(If all of a sudden something went wrong - Remove Memory Card, reboot, read the article again)
8 - Remove "MapDrives"
9 - Install "MapDrive_Y"
10 - Then run the program "MapDrives"
11 - Install "Modo"
12 - Take Installserver, which we downloaded, and put it in the Y:/sys/bin/ through "Modo"
13 - Now try instally any UNSIGNED file, if error occurs, then run the "Modo" again and copy the file to "C:\sys\bin"(it must be accessible now with write permissions)

If, however, that it did not succeed, remove all MapDrive folder Hack, reboot, rereads the article, and do it again.

yep I get it too.
But I found the solution. I think those files are already signed for some phone, so you have to first unsign and then sign them again. Worked for me

Ok, I pressed Cancel and removed all files from V:\ (virtual drive) and reinstalled MapDrives (HelloOX deleted previus installed before I pressed cancel) and ran HelloOx again. Now working perfect!!!!!

Check the version of installserver.exe that you are using.You should use the one for Symbian 9 FP1 or for Symbian 9.1

You can install any app/theme then.

hi guys, im running on nokia 6220c. my firmware is 3.06. it said in the list that this firmware should still be fully hackable. however, im really have been having a lot of difficulty already with this. tried using the hellocarbide approach but i only get to question 1 and then i get booted out. ive been looking around for rompatchers for FP2 phones but i seem to be missing it. i cannot find means to get my own dev cert so that i will be able to sign helloOX. please, any help is greatly appreciated. Obviously I'm missing something here. I thought that the hack will provide you ability to install unsigned apps or self sign unsigned apps. So, how to sign MapDrives and HelloOX before applying the hack? If I can sign unsigned apps why do I need this hack.

after clicking capsoff nothing happens.. why is that so? hello there my device is n95 8gb and downloaded and signed HelloOX and installed it in my device...when i tried to open the application on my phone it started copying some files(rompatcher etc) and then got stuck in "applying patches"...it's been over 10 minutes in that state...should i cancel and go on with the procedure again? the firmware of my device is v31.0.015...thanks for any suggestions...

FCA made another proof-of-concept for the hacking.
I think it works on all S63v3 phones.
First, you need to install any file browser, for example FExplorer or SExplorer.
Then, download and install

Start your file browser. Go to C:
Try to access c:\sys
It should fail because don't have permissions.
Don't close the browser.

Start HelloCarbide
Options->Menu1
it will say 18 messages. Say YES to all of them.
It will crash. That is OK

Switch to the task for the file browser.
Try again to access c:\sys
It should work.

Now you can't open any other application. You need to restart your phone.

If this process doesn't work, send me all the messages, and the files
e:\x6C117000.bin
and
e:\x6C117000b.bin

If it works, I will enhance this. But first I want to know that it allows all-browsing.

Note: if you are using X-plorer, you need to activate the option to see hidden and system files/folders.
