anyone knows where i can find the game save files for n-gage2 games (my phone is hacked so i m capable of viewing hidden files)

Which files are actually the game saves? For example, in my phone, C:\Private\2000AFBC contains a folder only and it's named Arena. Inside it, these are two files - "config.xml" and "game.rsc". config.xml is highly unlikely to be the save, because it's actually the configuration for the Arena access. "I have doubt about "game.rsc".

thanks etooo.....my games are installed on memory card, so i found the files u r talking about on e:/private, my question is that if i formatted my phone then installed the n-gage app and games, should i replace the whole new folder (with all files)with the old one?? or there are specific save files inside the folder that i need to replace??do you have an idea whether it will work or not??

Yes, you are right. Here's my take on this.
The N-Gage game saves can be found in the following directory:


C:\Private\20007b39\

It will contain the folders with names of UID of the games, like, Creatures of the Deep has UID 2000afbc. So, to backup, copy these folders into some other convenient location. For example copy the folder "2000afbc" from C:\Private\20007b39\.

Also, C:\Private\20007b39\DBMS\ contains a file "achievements.db", which is the progress in your N-Gage app, containing data like, your point pickups, N-Gage points, etc.

P.S.: BTW, this is an important thread I feel, because, everyone knows that they will lose their N-Gage game progress once they format their phone or upgrade their firmware. So, I would like to seek the attention of the moderators to take notice of this thread.

im using N95 and it is already been hacked... however i have installed all the n-gage related stuff into my memory card.. so i looked it here E:\private but here this folder is all just itself .. i mean theres are no subfolders in it.. i also checked up the C:]\ drive but there is the same case with it... can someone please tell me what is going on with my phone or is there something else that I should do?

I also have attached the screenshots of my folders for you to see it yourself!

You can assign the capabilities of "allfiles" on X-plore by first using MoreCaps ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
When using MoreCaps be sure to carefully read the instruction provided there.
Alternatively you can put your mmc into your computer. That way you can access the private folders easier.

The aktual Ngage app can only B installed on the c drive....
So, even when U install all the games on the E drive, the game save path is on the C drive....
Check it please.....

I dont agree with u, i hue 3 phnes with ngage 2.0 instald and i contionously chnge my save files with 1 another, and as far as i know, the folders mentind abv are only 4 save game files, files with ngage arena points and other settings wil b found in difrnt sub-foldrs of 2007b39 but nt in those which contains sav files, i am mre than 100% sure abt ths coz any 1 of us (me, my bro and sis) gets mre money shares his/her sav files and after exchanging i stil remain able to play system rush online with same points...

I don't think that will be possible as the N-gage Arena points are stored on some servers, while the data you have on your phone is stored locally.

You can probably ask about this on the official N-gage Arena / Support site.

However I do doubt it, as it would be quite pointless to upload your arena points and then have the points dropped just because you have formatted your phone.

I've looked into it when I was writing the thread UID of N-gage 2.0 Games + How to backup ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).

It is quite obvious that the name of the folders explains itself about what it does, however I suspect that the userid is somehow written in files either in those folders or someplace else on the phone. (Which requires alot of searching and viewing with X-plore's HexEditor)

Without being sure I assume that there's something in the dbms folder with the userid in it as dbms probably stands for "Data Base Management System".

Damn,I've problem with my n-gage app and i have to reinstalled it again, and i just know now that i can backup my savegame data!
Now,i've to started it again,before this i have 7230 points,please if there are some kind-hearted and generous enough people in this world that still willing to share his data,can i ask your pointpickup data(not save game,only file in dbms folder).Please!!!!

i cant copy the folder,just the files in it..

help guys. I formatted my memory card and then reinstalled ngage then i installed ONE and the rest of the games. Then i copied all of my old savegames (including 2000afbf) back to c:/private/20007b39.
All the games wok fine except for ONE. When the first time you open the game it loads my save but on the second time it deletes it saying ''DATA CORRUPTED'' Is there a solution for this???????
