with this little standalone program written in python you can disable or enable installserver.exe patch only when needed

just install it in phone memory, open instsvrOnOff and select to enable or disable patch :LoL:

no need restarting, remember to remove caps before enable or disable patch

it preserves its status, so if at phone shutdown installserver is on will remain on at startup too

You are absolutely right mate, ... this app is very usefull. It can protect us from accidental future inbound virus installations etc., because "installserver.exe" is very dangerous thing in our phones.

I have that same problem. I tried Python 1.4.2 and 1.4.3, my phone is hacked, i installed in phone memory...

But when i click on the app the screen just flashes and nothing happens. Can any1 help me out. I'm using an N95-1 btw, firmware v21

Problem is I can not switch off the installserver. I was prompted CAPS ON. My phone was never hacked. I have to delete manually the installserver and then copy it to C:/sys/bin again everytime I will install unsigned apps. :(

If your phone was never hacked how did you initially get installserver to c/sys/bin as its a folder you do not have access to unless your phone is hacked?

In your case you will have to get your phone hacked and install secman from Binpda. That is an easy way to turn caps On and OFF. Caps actually stands for system capabilities. When it's ON, your phone's not hacked, when it's OFF, your phone is hacked and vice versa.

In short. get your phone hacked and turn caps on/off in Secman utility to use this instserver app thing.

I still want to have full control on my phone by by accessing the hidden folders. You can access system folders using filemanager & hellocarbide but temporary only.

the new version of this program working correctly on my n73.

it's now showing installation warning when i want to install a unsigned sis files, if the patch was turned on.

if it's turned off, the installation warning show again.
