NOTHING is as difficult and tough as catching the Sea Snake!! I've tried at night, I've tried along bottom with static lure, I've tried at night with floating minnow, both at top left corner of map A1/A2, H13/H14/H15 and K11 / K12 as mentioned in another forum, still no Sea Snakes.
Please help with DETAILED description of where, time of day, lure and depth to reel.

problem solved, I just didn't knew where to look, now Im at level 13 and only shark baite remains locked I need level 16 to unlock it !

and one more thing for all you fellows that can not find the fish finder I suggest static lure and just drag it on the bottom at E7, E6 , the mountain must be on the right side of the screen , and you can find it the same way dragging the static lure on the bottom at G13 or H13 !

It's not nessesary to be just one fish. You can catch 2, 3 or 4 fishes, that weight together 98.9 kg.

about the treasure cest , here you are use static lure and just drag it on the bottom at , E6 , the mountain must be on the right side of the screen ! wHEN YOU ARE IN MAP MODE WHEN YOU GO TO E6 you will se a little blue dot is very small near some big blue spots, that is the place for your boat !

here goes advice to ALL treasure hunters,

1) go to the spot showed on screenshot 1
2) turn around on the fishing screen that you can see end of coast (left from vulcano) - screenshot 2
3) scratch the ground with any lure, but always keep it on the bottom (static lure works best)
4) yay! i got treasure chest :idol:

how to find the Fishfinder, which will help in your fishing a lot and will spice up your game play:

1. After you start fishing in Costa Rica, first try to find a couple of bottles with an old map. You can use a basic Popping Plug lure (or Floating Minnow when you get one). Cast a line and reel it in dragging the lure over the water surface. You can catch the bottles with the map practically anywhere - try a few different places and you will find them.

2. Next, you have to reach level 9 (15,000 XPs), so you can go to the airport and fly to Alaska. Do it any way you like it: random fishing, completing quests, participating in tournaments - as long as you get to level 9.

3. When you get to level 9 in Costa Rica fly to Alaska and do the same thing as you did in step 1 in Costa Rica. You can get the bottles with a map pretty fast, probably while at level 2 or 3.

4. Now you can fly back to Costa Rica and continue fishing up to level 10 (20,000 XPs). At this point the fastest way to get more XPs is to fish for Hammerhead Sharks. Each shark will give you around 400-1000 XPs.

5. With 20,000 XPs you can fly to Scotland and again repeat the same "map-bottle-fishing" as in steps 1 or 3. When the map is yours return to Costa Rica and continue fishing up to level 11 (30,000 XPs) for a ticket to Thailand.

6. Thailand is the place when all comes together. First, do the same as in steps 1,3 or 5: find the bottles with a map. Actually, you would need to find just one part of the map, the one which contains a cryptic line with question marks, such as ??,0? You may have guessed already that this is actually a secret GPS location!

7. When the final part of the map is found write down the combined numbers, they should read 70,00. But the final piece of the puzzle is yet another bottle located in Thailand. The bottle will contain the following secret message: .... Well, up until now everything was pretty much a piece of cake but let's leave something for adventure, shall we? It's up to you to find this bottle and read the message it contains!

8. When you find the bottle in step 7 go to the upper left corner on the Thailand map and ride your boat along the upper edge line from left to right. When you cross the GPS location 70,00 and press the button you will get the Fishfinder!

Having this "Holy Grail" of the game is a huge advantage and a time-saver. Unlike fishing equipment, which you have to earn again in each location, you can carry the Fishfinder with you anywhere. Instead of doing your fishing the hard way you can fish the way you like it. Not only you can find the best places to catch specific species of fish - you can find the things you don't even know about (remember those ??? in your Bestiary?).

Is fish finder a device to measure the depth of your lure?
If I am right then this is what you have to do. You have to finish few quests, i forgot how many quests, maybe the sixth quest than he will ask you to give the broken fish finder, and in return he will give you the fish finder.

I used Long Cast Carbon Fiber Rod, and Pro Cast Spinning Reel, and Fluorocarbon Line, and the lure was the Shark Lure, but if you don`t have that yet the Floating Minnow will do just fine.The depth is around 1/3 and try to go for it night time. Acutally you can catch it anytime because I was able to catch it day time, nigth time, and anytime I wanted it to...........so just try.Good luck

try G9, I9 (look at map), old tires are on the bottom. Best lure for catching items is Static Lure because is not rising up while reeling in. So let the lure sink to the bottom and the just hold fire and wait.

If you don't have GPS in Thailand the trick I used was to go to the top left hand corner, 00:00. Then press right on the d-pad 120 times. And go to that location, if unsuccessful then keep nudging right util you get it.

You can give a try here! I got four in the row before I took these screenshots, so as I said give a try here see if it`s helpful for you. I used static lure, maxium cast or just cast as far as you can, and scratch the bottom.Good luck!..............hope it`ll help

you have to complete the quests given by the boy to get the depth meter n gps

1. 6th quest - find a broken fish finder - reward, depth meter
2. 19th quest - catch a mermaid - reward, gps....

If you want the game secret item the fish finder heres how i found it in thailand. my device is n81 and i played in landscape mode. Firstly you need to search for bottles and find the one with the message (for many years...). You can even get it at level 1. Once you have that mark of on a page 12mm and cut the thin strip out wet it on your tongue and place it on the top far left on your screen remember i did this in landscape i'm not shore it will work in portrait. Now go with your little boat to were the 12mm ends it should be near the tip of were your xp progress bar starts. And just hit the gaming key A and the guy will pop up to congradulate you. Note that you do not fish this item. Its obtained direct frm the map by pressing A. Make shore u place the paper exactly were your screen starts. If you have gps just go to 70,00 its easier. Yo dude, that quest of catching 89.9kg of Bluefin Trevally is not referred to catching a "single" Bluefin weighing at 89.9kg.
The requested quest means to MUST catch as much as possible of that fish and accumulate the weight til it reaches at least 89.9kg before returning back to the quest enquirer.
So... go on & catch as much Bluefin Trevally as possible until the total weight of the accumulated fish reaches 89.9kg.

in the south. i catched many of african pompano between the location of rosterfish n bromtail grouper :)
